So over priced and service was shocking

Really amazing staff, especially Hannah! Had a great time and was nice to be greeted by such friendly staff. Appreciate the gluten free options but the bun was soggy and unappetising.

Booked a table, met my wife there from work. I’m a builder. Waited in que for 35mins past our booking. Get to the front of the que and the male host looked me up and down. Then asked the women behind can he help them. I stopped him in his tracks and informed him we’d booked . He apologised is a snobbish manner. Everyone was appalled. We were then given a time limit to eat. He sat us the dog side also . We hadn’t booked this area as my wife is allergic to dogs. Horrendous. Avoid at all costs.

Nice range of foods available, highly recommend the calamari. Very attentive staff. Priced slightly higher but still reasonable. Lovely views of the beach.

We had to wait nearly an hour for our food and it was all cold when it finally arrived! Very disappointed as it was great the last time we came.

I want to love this place because it's the only beach-side cafe in town besides The Observatory. It's got a great atmosphere. The young staff are friendly but inattentive. My mediocre cake was heated up too hot, burned the roof of my mouth and the staff didn't know how to handle it. WiFi is good, and they don't mind your hanging out with just a coffee and cake. I'll go back, but I do think a little competition would be helpful for them.

I have been here a few times. I went there for the first time around 2 years ago and I enjoyed my food and visits. However, I tried their Sunday roast not long ago and I was very disappointed. The tender-stem broccoli was undercooked, the Yorkshire pudding was burnt, the roast potatoes were hard and burnt. The chicken was not roasted it was grilled, so it was falsely promoted as a roast dinner as the should be roasted instead of grilled. The meal was not worth the price!!

Great location and service. If you don't mind parking and paying. Poor value for money for coffee ☕tiny pathetic cups. Three sips and it's gone. Will stick with costa in the future much better value for money. 💰

I had the halloumi on one sad piece of toast for the grand price of £12.50, which absolutely did NOT have even half as much halloumi on it as the picture in the menu. It also arrived cold, which was disappointing, with far too much gloopy sweet chutney on the top. No real cookery was involved in the preparation of that meal, and yet it was still rubbish. My friend had a very stodgy cake. This wasn't my first meal here, I've also had a couple of disappointing burgers with dry, unappealing coleslaw here in the past too. Oh, and a cup of tea is £3. I guess you're paying for the view, so it's a nice place to stop for a pint and nothing much more.

Secret Beach Bar & Kitchen was a great find. The sea view is stunning, and the atmosphere is relaxed yet well put together. Staff were friendly and efficient, and the service was quick. Special shout out to Matthew, our server..The food was delicious — the avocado toast with beetroot hummus really stood out as one of the best I’ve had. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Went for breakfast here as hadn't eaten here before, and have always heard nice things - the view is excellent too! I had a tooth out 3 days ago so I'm still on soft food, and the only reason we didn't go to Square Peg is because they only have sourdough bread (which I LOVE) but I can't currently eat. We saw they do brioché, so settled with Secret Bar - only to be told they wouldn't accommodate my breakfast by swapping the sourdough out for the brioché. Why not? Hard to toast brioché instead of sourdough is it? Nevermind, I had it anyway and my partner had to eat the bread. His yolk (fried) was a deep orange, whereas when I cut into my poached egg, it was pale and watery. Very average breakfast and the yolk made me sad. Tasteless egg from a very unhappy hen! The lack of accommodation just screams they don't care because they're always busy so what do they care if we come back? Unfortunate. Won't be eating here again & wouldn't recommend.

Loved this spot! The sea view is amazing, the staff were super friendly, and everything came out really fast. The food was great — the avocado toast with beetroot hummus was probably the best I’ve had. Definitely a place I’d come back to!

Booked to go for food last Sunday and as it was fully booked, the only area available was the dog friendly part of the restaurant. When we got there, we were seated in the main restaurant which we were very happy about. The service was amazing, such friendly staff and great quality food The only downside was that they weren’t serving Sunday dinner which we originally booked, and travelled half an hour for. We were only told when sat at the table with no email notification. The food we had was exceptional so we didn’t mind at all. We will definitely be back again in the near future

Breakfast with a view! The Welsh breakfast is an excellent choice, with professional and friendly service from Jake who welcomed us and took our orders. Very accommodating for wheel chair access and GF breakfast for celiacs. Disabled parking is very close to the entrance. I can't believe I have never been to this place before! Can't wait to go again and will definitely recommend.

A great find BUT DONT TELL ANYONE. It's a SECRET.

Just called in for coffee etc.Coffee was excellent,Childs burger was good ,baked beans cold,fries just warm.No kids drink with meal as advertised on menu.We had very good cheesy garlic bread but had to send Luke warm Parmesan fries back.I really like it here but it’s not without its sloppy problems.Serving staff are great.Classy place and will return for a full meal.

Went to the takeaway hut outside the main building. Full range of coffees, teas, cakes and ice cream flavours made this an ideal stop off during a walk along the sea front.

Food selection was brilliant and the burger was delicious. Service was polite and friendly, and food came quickly. Great options to sit inside and outside. Plus, dog friendly.

Lovely venue right on the beach prefect place to stop by the sea

Exceedingly disappointing. I paid for the privilege of parking in the car park adjacent to the property, queued and was greeted by a friendly front-of-house gentleman who apologised for the wait. Located a suitable & as I was about to sit, I was told it was card only. I had £180 cash in my wallet to use but they claim to not be able to handle cash. In 2025, 3 years after the pandemic, refusing custom on the basis of not wanting cash is silly. There were no signs on the doors saying no cash is accepted before wasting time and queuing to enter. The polite gentleman who greeted me apologised but did nothing to try and speak to management, not even say he would feed back my disappointment, hence this review. I had eaten here last year, the food was tasty previously but overpriced for the portion size. You pay for the beach-front location more than anything else.

This is the best of many breakfasts i have had in the u k. I recomend it to everyone.

We've been here a couple of times now when visiting Swansea. Perfect beach side location so it's lovely to stroll down along the sand, and then eat with views of the sea. Although it wasn't really roast dinner weather today (hot and sunny) we couldn't resist and it was even better than last time. I had the nut roast and everything was beautifully presented and delicious. I thought I was good at cooking parsnips but these ones were exceptional :-) The whole meal was really amazing, and beautifully cooked. Everyone working here is super friendly and attentive, the food and drink is good value, and there's enough room for our big dog (greyhound). Worth booking as it's a popular place at lunchtime. And rightly so.

elen was really nice & polite & sweet & kind She attended to mine and my dates needs very closely & made sure we had the best evening. I would 100% recommend her to be YOUR server too. My date whined about the vegan options but elen calmed her down before she kicked off too much. 10/10

Service wasn't very good, every time I asked a member of staff they walked away. Service was very slow and I found them quite rude. The food was awful, my fiancee had the popcorn muscles and cockles, I had the crab tosdada, my crab tosdada wasn't seasoned and very dry. My partners popcorn cockles and muscles was flavourless and the batter actually made them greasy. The main meal, we both ordered the "roast" beef dinner. It was awful, from the packet gravy to the overcooked roast potatoes, the stuffing ball and the Yorkshire pudding. There was an unpeeled raw carrots on my plate that just looked dirty. Service was really slow, won't be going back, definitely would not recommend.

Gorgeous vegan breakfast, accompanied by an oat milk cappuccino and a Bloody Mary. Great service and an incredible location. Ordered just before the park runners finished. Beetroot humous and avocado was a great combination.

Whether you're outside using the takeaway or inside, it's a great place. Advance booking essential if you want a table inside at the weekend

Brilliant place for breakfast, food was exceptional.

Popped in for Sunday Lunch and was very impressed. Food was cooked and presented very well with good understanding of flavours. Staff are all helpful and super friendly, so we will be returning hopefully in better weather as the setting is amazing.

Great spot for a quick bite with a pretty view. Kids menu could do with more plain options, but the biggest downside is that entry area is incredibly slippery. Would not recommend to anyone who is a fall risk

Drinks and foods are okay, however service is very slow as so busy. feels as though staff forget about your orders. also been several occasions where i have ordered items in which follows with a member of staff coming up to me 15 minutes later stating they are out of stock even though i have already paid. I do enjoy coming here though as the environment is lively and friendly and genuinely a nice place.

Had to wait outside in the freezing cold for far too long.. in the end, we didn't go in, I was very disappointed as we travelled there for this reason only. £4 car park fees wasted.

This place is a gem right on the water! 💎 great atmosphere, nice servers, and the food was amazing. I had the fish and chips with the homemade tartar sauce topped with mushy peas and chips. This was the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Finished it off with a salted caramel latte, which was delightful. First time in this town and I would come back just for this, if you’re in the area try this place.

I haven’t eaten there yet, but the coffee and toast are delicious. The ambiance is relaxing, the staff are helpful and friendly and the location perfect on the beachfront with views over the Bay. It is very popular and fills quickly. However there’s plenty of outdoor seating with a van selling a variety of options.

Visited here last week for a roast dinner and it was lovely, it was really busy so we had a drink first outside then they were able to move us inside to eat, will definitely come here again when visiting Swansea.

This is one of my favourite restaurants in Swansea. The restaurant is right on the beach and has stunning views. The staff are always friendly and the menu has lots of gluten free options.

We ended our holiday here after being recommended to go. Zade was serving us and despite the place being fully booked stayed calm and professional a real nice lad too. The calamari starter was great and we both had the fish and chips which was so good. For the location and quality of food and service I thought the price was fantastic too. We will definitely be going back when we come down again

Lovely Sunday lunch in a great setting.

We had a lovely meal yesterday lunchtime . We were served by Zaid who was excellent. We had a lovely welcome, first class service and pleasant conversation with Zaid . He looked like he was enjoying his job and is a credit to the place. Food was delicious too. We’ll be back .

We arranged a family Christmas catch up here, to allow some of our less mobile relatives an easier way to attend. The pre-brunch communication and helpfulness from Sophie was great, and our welcome was equally as welcoming and friendly. The menu has plenty of choice, catering for everyone from the less to the more ambitious. We all thoroughly enjoyed the location, meal and experience, made even better by the excellent service from the staff, who all deserve special praise. We have travelled significantly, and eaten at numerous restaurants, but our experience at The Secret was up there with the best.

Wasn’t very hungry and ordered a side of chips, they were cooked but for £4 it was good enough. Music could be quieter for better ambience though. It was quiet when I went.

The Secret Beach Bar, Mumbles Road opposite the Cricket Ground. I recently spent a superb evening there with a group of people who were alone. Musicians and singers gave a lovely performance both before and while we ate a superb ample main course of roast turkey, a wide range of vegetables, stuffing, yorkshire pudding served with a range of sauces, and a desert. It was all cooked perfectly, and served warm. The quality of the meal was the best I have tasted in the many years I have lived in Swansea, as was the perfectly balanced Prosecco, neither too sweet nor acid with perfect satisfying after taste. The seating, atmosphere and lighting gave a perfect ambiance to facilitate me to talking for hours to those seated close to me who I had never met before. All parts of the building were clean and tidy. There are superb views of the total sweep of Swansea Bay from much of the seating due the large glass windows and wall on its south side, which during the day makes the interior full of light. The staff and owners showed great, genuine, and ongoing interest in their guests, our personal circumstances and ensuring we felt everything about our evening was perfect and enjoyable. They offered me and I accepted a lift home afterwards because the buses were near to finishing for the evening. Some of their young children helped serve and clear the dishes, which made the evening more enjoyable especially with their perfect manners and attention to detail. There is a carpark adjacent to the building. The location adjacent to the hard surfaced walk way that is contiguous around the whole sweep of the bay make the bar ideal for walkers who just want to stop briefly for an non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage. The flat surfaces are ideal for those in a wheel-chair of little electric scooter.

stumbled across this place whilst walking along the beach, felt welcome like we were one of the locals. Plenty of choice on the menu, light lunches offer a decent portion size and the peach ice tea is amazing 😋 both had baguettes in lovely bread too. DOG FRIENDLY WHICH IS ALWAYS A PLUS WHEN YOU’RE LOOKING TO GET OUT THE RAIN ☔️
