The Secret Beach Bar & Kitchen in Swansea

Did the Swansea bay park run and called in for coffee and cake was full inside so sat out nice cakes breakfasts looks really good

Very noisy obviously busy dogs allowed to roam which I didn't like

Great views, good service but a little slow at times probably due to how popular the place is and therefore how busy. Very tasty Sunday roast with a great selection of veggies too go with it. Be ware, the carpark can get very busy, bookings advised on the weekend.

We visited today as the weather was lovely for sitting outside and we like the location. We have been many times but we hadn't been in over a year since a very disappointing meal and service. Today we had the Sunday Roast, I had the Nut roast which was the best roast dinner I have ever had. A huge portion with so much variety and the quality was excellent, worth every penny. We got chatting to the waiter who said the Sunday Roasts are very popular, and I can see why. It was delicious and friendly service.

Lovely restaurant bar on the sea front. The staff wanted the table back and moved us outside (it wasn't very warm) but it was disappointing to plenty of empty tables inside.

Lovely place for tea or coffee,look out to the sea and beach,dog friendly.

Had a lovely lunch there today with our grandchildren. Had a little accident of a spilled drink over my food but it was changed straight away with no fuss . .Lovely polite staff. Thank you ❤️

Great location looking over Swansea bay. The restaurant is nicely done out with friendly staff. Food was quick, well presented and tasty. Great for food or just a coffee, dogs allowed as well.

Food selection was brilliant and the burger was delicious. Service was polite and friendly, and food came quickly. Great options to sit inside and outside. Plus, dog friendly.

Love this place, and it's food. I was coming about once a month. As I love the French toast. Keep up the great work.

Been to the secret many times always had a nice experience,Good service food is average but nice.Tried the fish and chips this time cause iv had all the other items,and the pea puree was just horrible no flavour just bland,then the fish was smelling really fishy and no taste it was just bland too and then the salad was absolutely blasted with salt I thought I'd done it by mistake but my partner then asked me was mine salty cause hers was.I don't like to complain but it's put me off going bk there for a while.

What a shame the best ever eggs Benedict I’ve ever had has been spoilt by greed!!! Used to be a bun with two poached eggs, now HALF A BUN with one poached egg!!! Left me feeling still hungry and cheated. More expensive and half the portion. Not everyone is a tourist and remember previous meals. The waiter was a joy but the waitress was glum and rude.

Views are amazing while you eat or drink. Remember to pay for the parking.

Beautiful spot right on the beach with indoor and outdoor patio options. Patio is partially covered. Service was great, food was delicious and prompt. Great coffee too!!

Nice coffee, fish and chips great. Chicken burger great. Best thing though is the view and it’s dog friendly. Visited here loads over the last few years and haven’t had a disappointing experience yet. It’s nothing special, but it’s not too shabby either. Happy with the service too.

Very disappointed in the front of house service. I booked a table for 2pm today and at 2.50pm the gentleman at front of house told us he was giving us heads up of 10 mins to vacate the table. My husband had not even finished his drink. I told him I was not aware there was a time limit on the booking and we had only been sitting at the table for 50 mins. He explained they were busy but there was no queue? Plus I had booked the table 3 days in advance. The waiter was pleasant but front of house really need to work on their customer service skills. I will definitely not be back. Went elsewhere for desert and coffee. Will definitely be telling my family and friends about this experience.

We were a walk-in . Team were great food was great and when my wife knocked over her wine they replaced it foc. Lovely location on the beach , worth a visit. AP

Came here on 2 occasions recently and it was brilliant. The staff are really lovely helpful and polite. We have only had off the lunch time menu on the twice we visited. But both times the meals were lovely. Plenty of food on the plates - really tasty. The deserts look amazing but we were too full to have any. If you visit the orange crush is brilliant 👌🏼

This place is super cute. Right on the beach and has such a cool vibe. The food is great and we had some Wrexham lager and cocktails. Great place to watch the sea, go on the beach or just relax and listen to some music.

Terrible service - I went for long walk along the waterfront and came to this place at 8:55 AM whereupon the rain started - I was standing outside and a worker came out to set up some chairs - he said they did not open for another 5 minutes and told me to wait in the rain - I left for a more hospitable coffee and breakfast shop which I found with Sam's cafe in town of Swansea (see my review for Sam's Cafe).

Amazing food, our waiter was lovely, I think he was new but is a credit to this place. Views are outstanding as literally on the beach, unfortunately it was dull and raining today, but still a lovely location. Would definitely recommend, will be back.

Loved the food, kids menu isn't great.

Went here for the first time, it was a great experience, the staff were so welcoming and friendly, the food we had was excellent, even though my granddaughter wasn’t keen on the mac & cheese, she said it was tasteless and needed more flavour. We enjoyed our visit and will definitely go back .

Always a nice atmosphere and great staff

This has to have one of the most amazing views of any coffee shop I've been to lately. The staff are incredible friendly, sadly we only had time for coffee but will certainly be back for food as it look lovely. Certainly a place to go if you're ever in a need for a coffee with a view.

You pay a premium for the location which on a nice day is totally worth it, maybe not so much in bad weather.

Had a really enjoyable family meal here with really friendly considerate staff, lovely location and scrumptious food. Big thanks to the manager who totally understood my son's sensory issues and who helped provide a solution. Luna my Labrador loved it too.

We visit Secret regulary, usually with our dog. It's a terrific venue, year round, and the welcome from all of the staff we've encountered is first class; friendly, attentive and eager to please. My wife has some complex dietary needs, including intolerance to gluten and dairy. But the chefs invarariably provide safe - but also very tasty - alternatives to the menu items. Oli and Angelo are excellent at front of house. And last week's waitress (Ffion) was particulary frienddly.

Sophie managed out large family booking and she was very helpful . She responded to my emails almost immediately ! when the day came everything went so smoothly Everyone loved the food and the staff were super attentive and kind and didn’t rush us out at the end . Thank you so much for making our family event so enjoyable

Lovely experience except for the barking dogs. I don't believe dogs should be allowed in restaurants.

Great location. Good to average food. 3 panko breaded prawns for £9. Prawn linguine prawns overcooked and visually disappointing. Steak salad was nice but short on steak.

Another fab Sunday breakfast at the (not so) Secret Bar & Kitchen. The Welsh Breakfast with cockles and laverbread sausages are amazing! This time, sunny and warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the view of Swansea Bay. Food excellent and service great yet again. Thanks folks! Xxx

Yum yum proper Welsh breakfast, sea perfect - very good!

Charity event for children started there at 7.00, (bike ride) but it still didn't open till 9.00, no in sight to what was happening, we all would have loved a coffee before setting off on our 64 mile ride.

Only went in for drinks, but was surprised how nice it was and the Service was excellent and Elen was lovely and polite. Could definitely recommend it to anyone well done guys keep it up guys.

Just wanted to say how lovely it was today to be served in Welsh by a lovely waitress who once heard me say 'Diolch' proceeded to ask for my order in Welsh, an added bonus of your lovely place, huge clap though to the Welsh speaking waitress! The food was great, dessert was amazing. The service was very poor, there were a couple of servers who were very nice and polite, but what seemed like the 2 senior members of the serving team were quite rude and unaccommodating. And when asked about a drink that we'd already been waiting 30 minutes for they acted like our business was an inconvenience to them. I would not return, which is a shame because the food was good

Arrived on a beautiful warm summers evening. We were shown to our pre booked table and given set of menus. Our waiter Josh was friendly and chatty and took our drinks order while we studied menu. Our starters of calamari and potato bravas were served quickly. They were both delicious. Main courses were equally delicious as were desserts. Look forward to visiting again

The best waitress ever. I thought Lauren W was the manager as she was so professional and took such great care to ensure we were well looked after. Nothing was too much. Service was swift and friendly.

Poor breakfast, the mushrooms were cooked to death and everything was a bit rubbish.

We had our meal here on 19th July after our wedding and it was amazing. The staff were excellent, so welcoming and accommodating. The venue is beautiful, right on the beach with views of Swansea Bay with indoor and outdoor space for seating. Food was great and everyone was happy with their meal choices. Excellent table service too from the waiters. Couldn't recommend this place enough. Will be returning in future! A massive thank you for being a part of our wedding day!

A great location on the beach front with a lovely view of Mumbles in the distance. Friendly, helpful staff with good food and drinks, with a decent selection of both. Service is generally very quick and the atmosphere is pleasant. It's stunning on a sunny day, especially sitting outside with a nice refreshing drink.

Great place with fabulous views over Swansea Bay and Mumbles. Excellent food with a good menu choice; it also caters for vegetarians and vegans. Food is well presented and food and drink prices are very reasonable. Excellent service, staff are very chatty, helpful and polite. Dog friendly. I would highly recommend The Secret.

Fun place for a drink on the beach. You are charged at the table when you order. NO CASH. You might see your server one more time, but not likely. There is a QR code on your table if you want to order more food. Food is very bland and overpriced. Chicken wings advertised buffalo sauce- was not a buffalo sauce, but was a mayo and ketchup sauce with a hint of Sriracha and a ranch sauce. Garlic bread was awsome!!

Always fast service and food even when very busy. Lovely place to eat or have a refreshing drink.

We came here as a family for our sons graduation lunch. There were 7 adults and 3 very young children, the staff couldn't be more helpful making sure we could all sit together along with added high chairs. The food was excellent, we had a variety of meals between us all and everyone said they enjoyed theirs. The staff were really friendly and very helpful, I'd definitely recommend a visit.

A lovely location overlooking the beach. Service was really pleasant and the food was delicious. If you want good food, friendly service and a beautiful view.... This is the place to go.

Bit pricey for my liking, but the food was OK.
