It's great to walk into a pub you haven't been in for over thirty years and find it hasn't changed at all. Still got a nice friendly atmosphere. Nice pint of Guinness at a sensible price. The only thing that has changed is the barmaids. I don't remember them having three stunning girls in the old days. They have now!

We live locally and enjoy sitting outside with the dog in the summer, or eating inside in the winter. We've eaten here a number of times, but more so during December 2023, with various family and friends visiting. We find the food tasty, and very reasonable, with excellent portion sizes and staff are polite and efficient. We will continue to return. Thank you!

Having heard lots of great things about the food from friends we decided to book for my dads birthday. The chilli we had was amazing the best chilli and hottest we’ve had out in a very long time. Blue cheese Cajun burger was also spicy and delicious. Great selection for the kiddies too. Great beer and staff were friendly and helpful. Haven’t been here for over 15 years but will definitely be back more often now. Advise to book as it was really busy when we got there.

Have visited pub couple of times over last few weeks for dinner on 3 occasions & once on a lunchtime. Food has been excellent on each occasion. Warm baguette on lunchtime was lovely & real value for money. Evening meals also have been very good with generous helping. My favourite so far is the hickory chicken, whilst my partner really rates the jerk chicken but also really enjoyed the blue cheese beefburgers. This pub has become a firm favourite of ours but advise to book as it gets busy in evening when Food is being served.

A last minute selection but clearly the right choice. A lovely summer's evening with some great food and a couple of cold beers. I had Gammon, Egg and Chips. My wife had Thai Sweet Chilli Chicken and Rice. Both dishes were gorgeous. The Pub was busy with others enjoying the sunshine, there was a great vibe. Nice looking place too, inside and outside. Would have stayed longer, but one of us had to drive and it was the last day of our holiday, wish we'd found the Pub earlier.

Very disappointing meal and service. We ordered a veg lasagne and although it took over half an hour to arrive, it was cold in the middle and clearly a mass-produced frozen micro wave meal that had just been heaved onto a plate. When we took it back, it was simply returned by a very ungracious member of staff a few minutes later on a clean plate, microwaved a bit longer than the first time and looking like slop. Next time we’ll book a table at The Valley opposite where they have the same dish home cooked from scratch for less money, and always with great service!

A fab little pub restaurant on the Gower, which is a beautiful part of the country in itself, which had kids of character & served an excellent selection & quality of dishes. Enough variety to satisfy & served with enthusiasm & attentiveness. Very likely to be back. Why not a 5* … well it is the first restaurant we have ever been to that operated on a ‘pay as you go’ basis (their own words) so every meal & round of drinks had to be paid for each & every time & you cannot settle the bill more efficiently at the end of the evening.

Food so good we went back the following evening. Fabulous menu and setting. One of our party, a young child, loves veg but when asked if he could have beans and peas with his scampi instead of having to choose we were told very frostily 'it's one or the other' We would happily have paid extra but as there were 7 of us I would have thought that an expected bill from that number would have covered it. Not exactly doing everything to keep your customer happy.

Amazing food, will forever hold a memory with me if the fist place I had T-Bone steak with my son. Service on the whole is friendly and really good. Just a shame the (I assume) land lady, after spending over £240 in 2 days (was that good we went back the next day) found it far too much for one of the kids meals to come with both peas and beans (we would have paid a little more if needed). Just a flat “it’s one or the other” is the only thing stopping me giving it 5 stars. Might be being picky but just a little thing like that can disappoint a young visitor quite a bit.

There are not many pubs that serve food as good as this. Large helping and fantastic value. Where else would you find a 16 ounce ribeye steak for £18. My partner and his family visited in November. We were made to feel very welcome. Great ales on tap. We were lucky enough for them to let us eat a takeaway in there as the restaurant we planned to go to had double booked which was very kind of them. We had a great night and was so privileged to hear Hermione the bar manager sing in a cappella an Irish folk tune. Wow we couldn't hear a pin drop when she sang. It literally took my breath away. Definitely recommend this place and we will definitely revisit .

I have waited several weeks before writing this. I rarely post negative reviews, particularly not for small independent venues. But the price of 2 pieces of cheese on toast costing £10.95 is still irritating me. I didn’t look at the bill until sitting back down and my bank account flashed up the amount. I went back to the counter and asked if this was correct. Then to add insult to injury, we had nearly finished our coffees and my wife went to the counter to check where the cheese on toast was. No apology from the staff, and they said it was waiting in the kitchen as they couldn’t remember what table ordered it. You would expect sour dough bread or some, artisan crafted speciality bread and a fine local Welsh mature cheddar for this price. What we received was bog standard supermarket sliced brown bread and a meagre layer of bog standard supermarket cheese, that barely covered the cardboard toast. It was now barely tepid and ranks as the worst and most expensive cheese on toast we have ever had. Our cake was good but I overpriced, and the coffee was OK, but no where near as good as numerous other coffee shops in Swansea. Positives are: venue is nice and clean, staff friendly but somewhat dopey. It’s a shame they demolished my old school Ty-Coch. I am sure the catering ladies would have done a better job
