The Searoom by Saint Ives Liquor Co in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

This was easily the best dinner we've had in St. Ives, and we've tried a lot of places! (I kind of started the burrata before taking the picture)

What a find. The place is quaint. The food is fabulous. I don't like fish but partner does, not a problem. The young ladies serving couldn't be more helpful and accommodating. Partner had sea bream, with salad and a portion of new potatoes. I had meatballs, with the best fries I've tasted. Both meals were presented nice and were really delicious. Would recommend this great place. Thank you for a great meal and service.

Lovely but the expense chips I ever had and half a shandy ! Crab roll worth the money !!

So glad we stopped here! We’ve walked passed so many times along the harbour and always thought it looked like a nice little spot, and boy we were right! It’s not very often you find places that know exactly what they want to achieve, exactly who they are, and the sea room delivers on this with the vibe, food, and everything inbetween! The ambience is perfect, giving the impression of an old seaside pub, but in a modern shell. The food matches this and is honestly gorgeous. The muscles had the best sauce to date, even to the point I had to drink it lol, and the sea bream special was everything you could ever want it to be, crispy skin, flakey flavoursome fish, delicious! Some things on the menu are a little pricey (buratta and broccoli) despite being very tasty, but somethings were well worth the money, almost underpriced! The drinks were equally as lush, with the service being just the right amount of attentive. Please don’t overlook this place like we did for so long, just stop by! Make it a night too, because the deserts were very very tasty

Great dinner. Highlights were the charred broccoli and Korean pork belly but the white bean ragout and the burrata dish were also good, although the burrata could have used a bit more salt. Cocktails were nice as well.

Just popped in for a drink, ordered some chips to keep us going, didn't expect to have the best chips I've had. Utterly crispy and perfectly cooked, insane garlic dip. So good

Lovely small plates, bit shaded in the evening so bring a fleece if you can bag an outside table, but well worth bypassing the tourist traps…

Love the ambience and decor. Food was really good, portions a little small. We think maybe the waitress was having an off night, either got our orders wrong or just forgot completely. Ordered dessert but she came back with the bill. Waited ages, a little frustrating but got there in the end!

I have never paid £3.85 for a can of coke in my life! I wasn't impressed when I got a bill for over £15 for 4 cans.....

Just popped in for a gin & tonic. Lovely location but spoilt by the miserable old git running the place who has clearly had a very successful charisma bypass operation and is to hospitality what Putin is to world peace.

Really nice gin cocktails followed by a very good Côtes du Rhône Rose with our tapas dishes. Great Harbour view too.

Get the pork belly... If not why not? If you don't get the pork belly you are missing out! P. S.. Get the pork belly! (bread is nice.. But get the pork belly)

I found it extremely pricey to charge £9-10 for a starter, no matter what you pick. It was delicious but made me find some real place to eat

Great food, drink, service and view .

We had drinks here while waiting for the table in the restaurant next door, which also belongs to them (Silco). It was getting late and our table in the other restaurant was not freed up: the lady in the restaurant therefore immediately took action by going to the other restaurant and freeing it up for us (each reservation is valid for a specific hourly limit beyond which the table must be freed up) . She was great! At the end, he even offered us drinks to apologize for the wait. Really helpful and welcoming! This place is also very nice and the dishes looked great.

We had a great time during our visit, my girlfriend stated that she had received the perfect margarita; both our cocktails were fab. Chips were amazing too, couldn’t recommend this place enough.

You must try the Amalfi Spritz!

Absolutely stunning in every way, delicious food excellent service and the most amazing views to the harbour. We are always visiting St Ives and especially this beautiful little restaurant with the best view on the Harbour. The food is small dishes, tapas ,for sharing, every time we are trying different ones and they are all delicious. Great variety of drinks too, especially the local Gin and some amazing cocktails. Coffee and desserts too. There is sitting outside for the summer ☀️ Highly recommended to everyone that loves good fresh fish 🐟 Kids menu also available for your little ones

Visiting this place for many years every time we are on St Ives The best views to the harbour together with delicious food and cocktails Some of the best tapas like Albondigas (lamb meatballs stew) local mussels and white bean ragout .A place that you never want to leave behind. Looking forward for a visit during the summer so to be able to sit outside,as today was freezing .All in all outstanding

Beautiful spot and friendly staff. Outstanding food, we mostly ate vegetarian dishes. Unlike many restaurants where vegetarian dishes are poor relations of the meat ones, everything we tried was full of intense cleverly paired flavours, interesting texture and looked beautiful. Absolutely delicious, very generous portions for “small plates” too. thanks for lovely evening.

I went St Ives last weekend for my birthday treat and Sea Room was recommended to us by the staff at the hotel we stayed in! The food was delicious and the staff were absolutely amazing! The homemade cookie/shortbread that came with the crème brûlée was to die for! I couldn’t get enough of it, I had to go back the next day for some more. It was so light and crumbly, with a hint of lemon and sesame seed, and it just melts in your mouth. Thank you to everyone who made my visit so special and the best birthday ever!

Wonderful little bar right on the harbour front with the most amazing seafood and sea view! We had the Roasted Lemon Sole and the Chowder (which was a special and totally delicious - hope this makes it to the main menu soon!) 😋 It was worthy of a Michelin star in my opinion! Washed down with Atlantic IPA and handmade lemonade - perfect 👌

Great restaurant, initially we had a take away and it was so delicious we decided to go and eat in too. Luckily we had a table sitting looking out over St Ives harbour….wonderful. Food was delicious both times, especially the roasted lemon sole, with crab crushed new potatoes, samphire, tarragon, dill, brown crab aioli, olive and the green beans with almond and Parmesan…. unfortunately for us the cocktails we chose were very sweet and syrupy….we did ask for advice from helpful staff after my sister had to exchange one of hers. Might have just been our choices but seemed like they could do few more without the syrupy sweet taste? Would definitely recommend to friends and family and will go back again when next in St Ives.

Best restaurant we’ve been to in st Ives, lots of choice of small plates. Service was good and food came quickly. Cocktails were very nice and so was the food, everything was presented beautifully. Would highly recommend.

A great find. There are many places to choose from in St Ives and given I'm still reluctant to eat in places which are mega busy, this place offered dining outside overlooking the harbour. The menu focus is more towards tapas than main meals but this really appealed to us. There is a great choice, all a great price and very tasty.

Lovely cocktails and lite bites. Enjoyed a nice cocktail and humus dip before heading for our meal at the Source Kitchen.

Really cute little bar with some really nice tapas dishes. We sat at the window seats looking out over the beach and felt like we were abroad. Cocktails were lovely and the servers had noted we were on our honeymoon and made a thoroughly appreciated little gesture. Would definitely visit again.

Great cocktails, great atmosphere, great service.

My wife I had a couple of deliciously cold cornish brewskies here after a hot day. We had a bowl of nuts and shared some battered hake goujons with aioli and romesco sauce. Unfortunately were too early for dinner, but when we come back to St Ives we will definitely be back to sample more of the menu.

Amazing food especially for fish lovers while still having amazing meat & vegetarian options as well. Good selection of drinks from homemade lemonade to a good wine list.

We tried the classic and the blood orange gin and tonic, along with burnt aubergine, searoom chips, local mussels, and fish goujons. The creamy sauce was a nice complement for the mussels, the chips were cooked just right and the fish goujons and the burnt Aubergine had great sauces that enhanced the dishes. The prices here are reasonable, and the service is quick and friendly. Would recommend it to anyone who is interested in seafood in St. Ives.

Went for my birthday meal with my lovely missus and didn't have a clue what to order from the menu. Initially I thought it was absolute posh jibberish, but believe me, this place is the proper stuff. Loved it if I could give even more stars I would. This is a definite must for those visiting St ives.

Was expecting more because of the reviews. Food wasn’t great, portions were tiny, it was quite bland. Wasn’t worth it. Service wasn’t great either.

The food they serve here is truly exceptional, even for St Ives standards. Small plates as they should be done, highly recommended.

Had dinner here one of our first nights in St Ives and it set the bar high straight away… lots of great stuff on the menu.. we decided to just share a few dishes and weren’t disappointed! Loved the scallops and was pleasantly surprised by the crab loaded fries!!! Good cocktails too!!! It was raining the night we went but would imagine it’s great to sit outside on a warm evening too looking over the harbour! A must in St Ives!

A lovely little restaurant with an amazing atmosphere. The food selection is great and has a lot of tapas style dishes so you can pretty much try everything. The drinks are absolutely delicious. Staff were very friendly with a great service. Dogs are welcome and very dog friendly. Recommend booking in advance.

Really nice food the service could have been better but overall good

Staff were so friendly on our visit and the place had a great atmosphere even when we headed there for a nightcap at the end of the night. We were given recommendations for dinner and the staff seemed so keen to hear about our stay in the area, it was so nice. The gin is outstanding - we bought a bottle to take home - and I loved everything about this spot. A must visit.

Only reason this gets a 4 is I thought there would be a bigger variety of gin options but the tapas choices were really well done and I wish we'd had a few more of them. Toilets are clean (it's a single unisex one).

Tasty food, however rather pricey for small portions. Everything we had was delicious. The Mackerel & squid sliders were especially awesome. Can’t get over the fact they are charging £6 for a single scallop..

Lovely food and service. Stunning view of the harbour. One of the best tapas restaurants I went to. We sat at the outdoor table without booking, which was perfect for us with a dog.

We had a great feast at the Searoom. The dishes are thoughtfully designed and executed perfectly! We enjoyed thoroughly the squid and fish slider (our very favourite! ordered another one immediately), rosted pepper and goat cheese salad, fennel and orange salad, grilled mackrel. What a perfect late lunch! We will be back as soon as we can!

BEST FOOD IN ST IVES! This was genuinely the best tasting food I’ve had in my life, let alone in St Ives. Wonderful staff and gorgeous coffee too. I can’t wait to come and dine here again. If I could give 6 stars I would. :)

Really delicious food (the topped chips are amazing!) and fancy cocktails (marmalade martinis are my new favourite). the service was great considering it was august in a tourist location, didn't feel rushed or pushed out because they needed the table, felt very looked after and came back for drinks orders when we were getting low. A little pricier than some other locations, but this is not a pasty shop on the harbour, it is a lovely location with excellent food that is presented amazingly. Even so, would happily pay that much for a lovely meal again (prices are similar to other sit down restaurants in the area in summer). Drinks are local and with their own gins and limoncellos! would highly recommend.

Fabulous food and wine, everything was cooked and presented perfectly. Dessert looked good but I had no room for it! They were lovely people, really friendly and all in all it was a great night.

The Searoom has been one of the best places I’ve eaten at, the food was amazing and just delicious, we ordered prawns, fish goujons and crab fries. These were cooked perfectly and before you know it, they disappeared from our plates! The dessert and cocktails were also done very well. The restaurant is small and cosy however pricey for the portions served however you definitely get what you pay for! The staff were very friendly and helpful with food recommendations.

Nice little bar with an amazing gin produced by them. We go there every year and take a bottle of gin with us when we leave and they were always nice with good food and service. Unfortunately not this year, serviced ruined by waitress being rude keeps lie to customers about table being fully booked outside. I asked for a table and this waitress told me prompted they were all fully booked all night. I just order my drink on the website. One minute later 3 people without booking ask for a table to a different waitress and she accomodate them. I asked again for a table to the nicer waitress and she said that table wasn’t booked also was fine to get a table but need it back in an hour. I refuse the table as not enough time for a meal and offered it to two ladies behind me that wanted a table for a quick drink. The nasty waitress came back out lying again saying all the are fully booked to the ladies. She come to me angry like an angry seagull saying you don’t work here. Horrible attitude, sending people away for not reason. I felt for the two ladies as they being refused a table. Avoid this place if the angry (seagull) is working that day!

Best gin and tonic I've ever had. Location overlooking harbour is perfect. They DON'T do gluten free cream teas here anymore though!

Had an early dinner there last Tuesday. What a great place! Simple, delicious and with a great atmosphere and service. Would definitely be back there on our next trip to Cornwall

We visited early evening. Really good food and friendly service. We had our 2 year old with us and everyone was really warm and good with her, which made us feel very welcome. Great atmosphere and excellent views of the harbour. We’ll definitely visit again.
