We went as a group of 4 was swiftly greeted and our coats taken, taken to our table and asked if we wanted still or sparkling water. We ordered our starters and received them very promptly within 7 minutes i got the tuna tartare and it was easily the best thing we got all night 10/10. We then went on to order our mains. I got the steamed halibut it was very delicious a tiny bit rich for my taste so i give it a 9/10. Then onto dessert i ordered the tiramisu i get tiramisu whenever i see it on a menu and unfortunately it was probably the worst one i have ever tried but that is my personal taste as i am not a big fan of rich strong chocolate flavours and it was immensely rich 2/10. A great experience the atmosphere is amazing, the staff are very professional and friendly at the same tim. Will definitely be back soon. 😊

There's really nothing you can say about this place that isn't short of wonderful. The food and service were excellent. The views of the beach were the perfect backdrop, and to set it all off, I had Micheal Douglas and some friends sitting right behind me!!!!! We had the 3 courses with the rib eye for two but the star of my meal was the crab spaghetti appetizer. It was honestly the most delicious thing I've ever had in that category of food.

On the evening of 17/08/2024 my wife and I experienced the 3 course Dinner at the The Seafood Ristorante in St Andrews. I had starter of Classic Pate En Croute cornfed chicken, Tamworth pork, duck liver, heritage radish, bitter-leaf salad. Main of Steamed Day Boat Halibut Shetland mussels, oyster fritter, young leeks, warm tartar butter sauce. Sweet of I.J Mellis Three Cheese Selection Petersyard crackers, quince, Dundee Cake. My wife had starter of East Neuk Crab Spaghetti homemade pasta, tomato, chilli, Italian parsley. Main of Line Caught Cornish Wild Bass shellfish mousseline, courgette, peperonata, tomato vinaigrette. Sweet of Tiramisu espresso syrup, coffee ice cream. Shared sides of Green Beans & Hazelnuts and Buttered New Potatoes. We shared a bottle of 2022 Sauvignon Blanc, Hunter’s, Marlborough. All course's were faultless and the waiting staff all exceptional. A thoroughly enjoyable experience.

The restaurant itself has a beautiful location by the sea, and I imagine is a very romantic date night spot. We saw the high recommendations, and decided to stop here for a late lunch. Staff seemed annoyed that we didn’t have a reservation, and overall service was quite slow. The food is presented well and tasted good, but not so good that it justified the price tag. Portions are small. Despite being lunch time we were only provided the dinner menu and its associated surcharge. Maybe you’re paying for the view? The best thing I ordered was the caviar. I would consider dining again to give it another chance, but wouldn’t recommend to others based on our first experience.

We have had some good meals around St Andrews but this was a most fabulously pleasant surprise. Great oysters and a high quality Margarita got us off to a great start. This was followed by mackerel and scallops then we both had John Dory. Every dish was well thought out but most importantly very very tasty. A great meal I recommend this place unconditionally.

Been coming here many times on and off over the years and had a superb meal last night during graduation week. It’s the best place in this town and whilst the menu isn’t big the food really is excellent and whilst priced as if it’s a London restaurant it is worth coming. Many of the other restaurants here are increasingly steak oriented and have jacked prices up ridiculously since the pandemic - but guess that’s aiming for the American golf tourists who seem happy. The wine list here is reassuring punchy and we have had a couple of duffs but last night we enjoyed a decent ribolla gialla which I’d recommend. As well as here at the other end of the scale Tailend has always been decent!

Lovely gastronomic experience, during a romantic weekend in St. Andrews. The restaurant has a great location with a breathtaking view, better to enjoy it with sunlight. We had a warmly and attentive welcoming. We started with two glasses of Pol Roger and fresh oyster. Starters: Salmon scallops, both very good, to highlight the tattie scones served with the salmon. Beam and Halibut for mains, sauce was complementing good, maybe a bit too strong the oyster sauce with the halibut. Bread and butter were very tasty. A paluse for not asking the allergies at the beginning of the dinner, as they were communicated when we booked, and they had been checked at the right time, with the dessert. Very professional way to handle with it. The best of the dinner was, surprisingly, the desserts. We had the mille feuile and Vanilla Ice Cream, both incredible, generous in flavours and impeccable presented. For the wine we put ourselves in Luca’s hand, the expert and passionate Italian sommelier. He recommended a bottle of Jurancon sec, rich, creamy and fruit forward, a good option to complement the whole meal. All the staff was amazing, special mention to Luca that made our night special, to the maitre/restaurant manager for his politeness and Lilly for her service. Overall it was a great experience, food price are according to the place and to the quality of the products. The wine list is very good, lots of choice and for all the taste and prices, from classic to innovative offers. Very valuable price for the Pol Roger by the glass, and the rest of the prices are according to the level of the restaurant. Please, let Luca guides you with the choice of the wine, he will make the experience. Service is attentive, warm, friendly and professional. Just two suggestions for improving the experience: alongside with the bread, one small amouse bouche would be lovely, even if the portions of the courses are perfect or even generous; a slightly more detailed food explanation and the way to enjoy some elaborate courses would take the service to the next level. Definitely, we'd love to come back!

Excellent ... and remarkable value! The sea front location is dramatic. You can watch the chefs prepare the food and/or watch the waves crash. The staff are skilled, helpful and very attentive. The food is excellent. The value of the Seasonal Lunch Menu is amazing for this quality. The wine list is extensive and its lower end is surprisingly good. We were 6 for lunch - a bit of a get-together. Most of us had the 3 course special for £40. It was a mix of fish, seafood and meat - limited choices but enough to match perfectly. We added 4 side orders (£6 ea), 2 of green beans and 2 of excellent potatoes. Plenty to eat all round. We had 2 bottles of Sicilian Grillo white and one of Sicilian Nero d'Avola (all £32 each and fine quality) and a sparkling water for the poor driver. I tried the cheese board (only the same price per course as a dessert, which is unusual). A Spanish brown looking blue cheese. It didn't suit me as it was too strong but that's just a matter of taste. 12.5% service charge added as standard. One of the best (and best value) meals we have had in a long time. Shame we live so far away.

First time here. Excellent visit for lunch. Went for my mums 70th. Views to die for, beautiful setting. Everyone had different dishes ranging from the set lunch menu to a la carte. Everything was excellent. From the fresh and hot homemade bread served to table to the moorish chocolate with coffee and the wonderful seafood and fowl for the meals in between. It was all top notch. All served by a group of very well trained, helpful and smiling group of staff who were always on hand whenever needed, and gave you enough time so you didn’t feel rushed. Yes it is pricey here. But that pays for an incredible setting, top food and great staff. You get what you pay for here. My mum told us it was her new favourite restaurant in the region. And being a French cook, that is certainly high praise! We will be back one day.

We recently visited on a Thursday evening, the location and setting is beautiful, the weather was not the best so missed out on the full experience, but I can imagine in summer the views are truly spectacular. The setting is close to the centre of St Andrews and the Old Course, right on the beach! Upon arrival the greeting was warm and the doors opened for us, follwoed by taking our coats and getting us settled in the sea facing table. The restaurant is essentially a giant glass box with an open kitchen, so it's a pleasant space for sure. The somilier was first to our table presenting the wine list and taking an order for cocktails to get us started. We then had the menus presented to us and explained. The restaurant offers a 2 or 3 course set menu at fixed prices of £85 for 2 courses and £98 for 3 courses, so of course on the higher end of dinning options. After being presented with some warm bread and butters, we made our selections of: Antonios Oscietra Caviar (30g) Sour cream, tattie scones (Extra cost) Raviolo of Anstruther Lobster Hand Dived Orkney Scallops Steamed Day Boat Halibut John Dory Three Cheese Selection All of the food was deliciuous, beautifully presneted and nicely spaced out. The service was exceptional and attentive, we opted for a bottle of the NZ Sauv Blanc which was great, we also had a dessert wine and port, they didnt have stock of one of our choices but the wine waiter was over in a flash with several recomendations and found us an alterntive which was great. The restaurant manager attended our table following our main course and ensured everything was as it should be and made polite conversation. The restuarnt was nearly empty on our arrival at 6pm, however, the place was packed out by 7pm so booking is essential! I'd highly recomend this restauarnt if visiting St Andrews and you'd like a special treat!

I hadn’t been to the The Seafood Ristorante for many years in fact , long before the current owner Stefano Pieracinni bought the restaurant and transformed it into a superb ‘seafood restaurant with an Italian influence’ . The Pieracinnis have an impeccable record in hospitality and as a group of friends who’d recently been on a 3 day tour of London’s most regarded eateries - we all felt that this was by far better . Wonderful atmosphere , truly outstanding cuisine - oysters , smoked salmon with incredible tattle scones , halibut and monkfish to die for and one of the best cheeseboards ever and so well explained by superb waiter . Wonderful Luca the Sommelier really did help us with the best choice of champagne and white wine and we recognised him from top Edinburgh restaurants and he now commutes due to his love of The Seafood Ristorante . Stefano ( the boss ) was so welcoming .. to EVERYONE and whilst looking like a film star worked all of the tables discretely , efficiently and great aplomb . My favourite London restaurant is Daphnes and the Seafood Ristorante is right up there . If you’re discerning and a regular restaurant goer - you must go & Ive already booked ( coming from Aberdeen !) to go back in a fortnight … seriously , 10/10 .

This was a contradictory experience. In general the service and food was outstanding, however my partner had lamb chops (yup, she doesn't like fish and it was a gift for me). The dish arrived and the chops were raw, pink on outside. There was no sear. We asked the female Waitress to have them cooked more. She said I'll get the chef to give them a sear. My partner asked at this point to have them cooked well done (not most people's choice but her choice). The dish was taken away and returned 2 minutes later still extremely rare, obviously having been pressed onto the grill and removed immediately. The chef obviously likes rare lamb but HE WASN'T PAYING! She was too embarrassed to send the dish back again. Tbf the wine waiter arranged for our 2 glasses of wine to be free as an apology. He was lovely and extremely informative. Obviously a high class seafood restaurant but please don't impose your taste onto the paying customer chefs.

Supremely delicious meal. It was our most delicious meal of the trip (so far). Would recommend pretty much everything on the menu based on what we had. The sommelier was great and recommended good pairings for our different courses. The lobster ravioli is in my dreams.

Food was decent, not a great value for money though. Saffron risotto was ok, I would've liked the beans to be softer. Cod was nice and fresh, turbot was so tasty. Enjoyed the drink too. Downside is the location of the kitchen which makes the whole space really warm and blocks the views, so you really can't say it's a place with a 360 view!!

Was lucky to get a table overlooking the beach at St. Andrews. Andy, the restaurant manager, asked about our food preferences, discussed the menu, and took our order. Daniel, the sommelier popped over to discuss wine selections. Both were extremely knowledgable. Andy and Daniel's recommendations were spot on. We had a lovely dinner watching the sun set. Service and food was impeccable. This may be the best restaurant in all of the St. Andrews area. Call ahead for reservations. Seafood Ristorante is no longer a secret and has many fans.

Fabulous meal in The Dory Bistro this evening. Food absolutely outstanding as was the ambience in the restaurant and the people who take a pride in the food they serve. The Dory aperitif is definitely recommended. I had the halibut to start and my husband had the clams. I had monkfish for mains and he had the cod. All incredible - in presentation and quality. A lovely glass of wine to accompany my food - the driver had water. Good coffee to finish. Overall, cannot recommend this place enough and excellent value for money for the quality of the food and service.

My partner and I had a three course meal mid October 2024. Food was excellent, great drinks menu selection and very attentive staff. Highly recommend l. Great pub in the back to.

Used to be a great place but visiting recently I was very disappointed. Food tasted horrible and chips were either old or oil hadn't been changed for a while. For the prices you pay, you expect a great tasting treat, instead we were all disappointed. Their tomato sauce is horrible too. Far too sweet, my daughter couldn't eat her dinner because of it.

2 portions of fish and chips (takeaway) purchased 09/10/24 with one tub of curry sauce to share. Chips - Tasteless. They were very obviously re-heated or re-cooked because they were very hard and could possibly have been warmed up, from being cooked already, frozen chips. Fish - Mine was ok. Fish cooked nicely with crunchy batter evenly coated. One and a half pieces of fish per portion of fish and chips at £10.50 a pop was not good value given the size of the fish pieces. The grease in the box was phenomenal My partner was violently sick and threw the fish up during the night although he didn't detect anything wrong when he was eating but he did eat far more of his chips than I could manage. The curry sauce didn't go far over mine after putting a hearty amount over my partners therefore I can't comment on it apart from that because a few of the tasteless chips absorbed it making them appear to taste better. Won't be back!
