Looking forward to a lovely roast dinner, not had one for a while, plates arrived, looked amazing, my beef was melt in the mouth, yorkie and stuffing, good, veg, ok, roast potatoes so disappointing, hard on the outside, clogged inside, such a shame, hubby had pork and crackling was soft. No apologies, but will feed back to the kitchen. First time for a roast from us, 🙂↔️

Super cool pub with friendly staff. Food was delicious and varied. Very relaxed vibe. If I could fault it, I would have loved a dessert. Even if it was only something small and in the style of their food

Never been before and yet as soon as you walk in you feel like you go every week. The staff were so friendly and efficient plus the food and wine were excellent A wide range of food types from mainly Asia, plenty of it and fantastic quality and service. It's across the road from the train station so convenient to get in and out without having to venture in to the main town which to be honest is disgusting. The only place we will go now.

We pre-booked but were given a tiny, round, uncomfortable table tucked away in a dark corner. The Sunday pork roast was very good with a lovely crackling...on most of it, but the potatoes and carrots were like bullets, burned to a crisp! The dinner plate was covered in too many overcooked veggies swimming in gravy, which spoiled the presentation, making it unappealing and overfilled with unrecognisable "brown" food. The staff were friendly but unfortunately too busy chatting and no one came to ask if we were happy with our dinner, despite having left most of it on the plate. Overall not the best Sunday lunch experience or atmosphere and won't be back.

I have just eaten the best meal I have had in years at the Seadog. I had the Beef Rendang and every mouthful was heaven. I also tried my friends crispy butter chicken and the fries loaded with spring onions and peanuts, my goodness such a treat. From one chef to another, well done. Sarah

Tried here for lunch as had passed by many times and the smell coming from inside was amazing! I was not disappointed. Decent size portions, in fact i was beaten and couldn’t finish. Good value for money and very tasty. Had to wait a little but then the food was being prepared to order. Definitely recommend.

Omg! Pan Asian food to die for. A clever small menu but packed with fantastic flavour, seriously this is great nosh! Smart clean uniformed staff in an open view kitchen knocking out great plates of food. Try the Bao meals or the singapore chicken curry. Hollymolly, this is a brilliant pub now. Well done Seadog !

Sunday roast lunches are back at The Seadog in Hastings, yay! The pub is a really friendly warm place just outside of Hastings rail station. It has a Welcome to Hastings painting on the railway side of the building. I love that it welcomes people to the town. I heard on the grapevine that there is a really great chef there at the moment. So when I saw Sunday roast is back I had to go. When I saw the menu I noted that the supplier was Beak & Tail Butchers which is a fantastic new butcher in the heart of Hastings. So I just knew I was onto a winner here. You order at the bar and the service is really friendly and they appreciate you. As for the food I ordered topside of beef but the veggies were also amazing. I don't know what was done to the carrots but they tasted really great. The meat was tender, not tough like in some places. The roast potatoes were crispy on the outside and soft in the middle as they should be in my book. Other veggies included long stemmed broccoli, cheesy leek, and sweet potato mash. I had a stout (not the Guinness option) which was great and my partner had a still cider from draught. All in all, it was a great meal. This place is a fantastic little pub in central Hastings.

One of the best pub lunches I have had. The cuisine has elements of south Asian cooking. Freshly cooked and so delicious. Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. A short walk from Hastings station. A great pre beach pit stop!

Difficult to write about!! My wife and I went on Saturday night over the BH weekend. The pub was packed with people drinking and had a really good atmosphere, but it was too busy to be a restaurant (if that makes sense!!). Food: The portion size of the food was excellent, and very reasonably priced. We shared Bou buns (good), ribs (ok), loaded fries (poor) and noodles with pork belly (fantastic). It’s personal preference but the fries were VERY salty and too much chilli 🌶️ sauce. All the portions were so big we couldn’t eat everything. Menu: it’s an Asian inspired menu only. There are only two main courses (beef curry and vegetarian noodles), and there wasn’t any curry available at 6pm on a Saturday evening…disappointing (but the noodles were SO good it made up for it). Overall it was more of a drinking pub that does good food, rather than a restaurant.

So pleased we found this absolute gem. Great atmosphere. Stylish but unpretentious decor. Friendly staff and locals. Great tacos and really welcoming to dogs and kids both. Exactly what this part of Hastings needs. Good work Seadog!!

I visited Hastings beach to walk to Rock a Nore beach and cliffs , two weeks ago on a lovely sunny Sunday . Lunch just had to be fish and chips . I was overwhelmed with the choice of restaurants around me however this place was the closest and I was starving , so I gave it a go . The thing is with fish & chips , it’s so simple… yet so easy to get wrong too . Anyway .. I had lovely polite service , didn’t have to wait long and the cod & chips were tasty , hot and a great portion too . Served in a box with lemon and a finger wipe . It ticked every box in my opinion . I returned the following Sunday after another walk and had exactly the same wonderful experience and food . Thank you , I will definitely return ! Will definitely return in the future .

The Plough Inn is a fantastic and friendly little pub at the top of the West Hill...great for both locals and visitors - definitely worth the walk / ride up the hill in the Funicular. Great outdoor garden out the back, which includes a Petanque court, as well as a covered heated area.

We have been member of the club for 6 years . We often go for breakfast but Brenda Andy have retired . The new people are absolute useless first you wait half hour for two breakfasts , to then be told you had not paid for two I went up and said to the lady to which she couldn’t admit it was her mistake , and basically told me and my husband to not come back . I love the club but won’t ever be using them for breakfast ever again shocking young people with chip on shoulders
