Paid 50 quid here for food and because it was closing the guy declined my little girl for the toilet.... mate she's 10 years old you tool never again go here and spend my money

Visited today, ordered traditional fish n chips large with one gravy and mushy peas, £17.50 paid cash, I have asked them to share their Halal certificate when is shown to me and I found it was expired since 2016, never bothered to renew it, they said it’s halal but I highly doubt since their certificate is expired and who put a check if they practicing it halal. A latest update by HMC confirming that they are not certified and they can’t guarantee if they are Halal. Reply to the owners: Walykum Salam, it’s not about price at all, I happily paid the price, it’s just for update to our community that your certificates are not valid and are expired since 2016, kindly please renew it so that we can have trust build.

Great fish and chips reasonable prices

Walked in and walked straight out again. Both servers were staring hard at me with one looking quite hostile. Not a chance werecwe going to spend our money there

Vine aquí con mi familia el sábado. Extremadamente ocupado que es de esperar cuando las luces estaban encendidas. Pedí y me las arreglé para conseguir un par de mesas ya que éramos 8 de nosotros. Mi esposa pidió un budín de bistec y después de unos 10 minutos de espera alguien vino a decirnos que no quedaban budines. Se cambió a pescar. La comida era normal, nada que escribir a casa. Ciertamente no chip y no tan bueno como el de Lily que es donde solemos ir. Lo que realmente me disgustó fueron los perros dentro de un restaurante. Ni siquiera McDonald permiten esto y eso es decir algo. Nunca volveré.

Is there different people running it now? Smaller potions, not value for money. Fish over cooked.

Food was beautiful, everything was cooked fresh and worth every penny/pound. I will definitely be returning. Thank you

Ofrecen una "oferta de comida de pastel", el menú muestra claramente un precio de una serie de pasteles que hacen, por debajo de este precio, claramente dice "Oferta de comida de pastel, cualquier pastel con patatas fritas y salsa, no hay precio extra establecido en este acuerdo, sin embargo, cuando pagas por esta oferta de comida, se te cobra un extra de £ 4 . . Cuando se les pregunta por este sobrecargo, dicen que es culpa de las impresoras ¿quién no imprimió el precio correcto? Hmmmm.

Easy to order through self service order points (Sadly only 1 was working, so had to wait) . Went at a very busy time didn't have to wait long for food to be ready. Fish and chips were delicious. A gentleman behind the counter was friendly and hospitable.

Hot food BUT 45 minute wait and no bread no tea, no coke, fruit shoots. Call yourself cafe. You know it be busy so no excuses. Cash only which in today's society is unacceptable

Wasn’t the best chippy out there. The battered sausage was okay but chips weren’t fantastic. When my friends and I came in we stood and waited to be served for quite a while but no staff really interacted with us. We then realised we could order on the self service machines. We had to wait quite a while for our orders to be sorted too. Probably wouldn’t go again and if you’re coming here for your first chippy I probably would go elsewhere however it was a filling enough meal.

Queued to be served for 5 minutes, only to be told, "if your going to use card then use the self service machines!" Even after this rude member of staff, we went to self serve and ordered our four meals with four drinks, paid, then sat down. Only for a worker to walk over and say, " we don't have chicken so pick something else". Both children ordered chicken strips from the menu. Kids changed to sausage instead which came to £5 something cheaper than what was first ordered. I had to then ask for the difference to be refunded as it wasn't offered. We sat back down. Dinner was shouted as ready, I attended to collect, only to be told 3 of the drinks we'd chose and paid for were not in stock and to pick something else! By now we were getting very annoyed by the abrupt attitude and I complained. The man frying became argumentative immediately and said he didn't see what the issue was, it's one if them things! In a nut shell guys, if you want the food you want to eat with a positive and friendly service, go somewhere else!

food is top drawer and always has been. easily the best chippy tea I've had

Went for the first time tonight as our normal favourite chippy was closed. No one else was in but thought we will give it a go, wish I hadn’t. Didn’t pick up a menu on our way in so staff had to get us them, thank you. Friendly enough, music a little loud for tea time chit chat. I ordered cod, unfortunately it wasnt cooked throughout, it’s a shame as it was a good thick piece. My bread my friend buns were all out in the same side plate, so we had to ask for more. The gravy was far too thick for my liking too. I’m gutted I’ve felt sick all evening as we went to the theatre as a treat.

Terible service last night. We waited for our order for 1 hour(fish and chips) only to find out they forgot our order and there is no fish left. One staff said, "oh you didnt get your food?"!!!! The man in the counter returned our money and gave us scampi and chips instead. We almost missed the fireworks.

Have been here before and made a special effort to go again. Very disappointed, had to order on a machine, selected the lightly battered and got very dark, tho the fish inside was beautiful. Also disappointed at the price it cost for a takeaway box with wooden cutlery .very disappointed

Food is a bit over priced ( but it is the seaside) , everything is freshly made and tastes fantastic. Shop very clean and staff are polite and friendly and helpful. If you are eating out then I would recommend a visit here .

Very delicious. It was halal and even showed me the Halal certificate. *BUT NOT THE PIES!* be warned. Lots of spaces to sit and the food is very satisfactory. Curry sauce, chips, cod and tempura prawns were very good. Don’t bother with the tar tar sauce sachets (NOT the restaurants brand) as that was too tangy, again not really fault of restaurant but maybe they could get another brand of sauce? To my muslims, you’re not missing out on the jumbo sausage so I’d pass! But other than that, no fault! Mayo sauce was great. Food was quite timely as well! And cust service was decent :)

Not sure if this has changed hands but we couldn’t eat 60% of our food yesterday. Which is a shame as we’ve liked it here a few times. The chips were coated like they’d been cooked 10 times over - the inside soft but outside hard- teeth breakers! The fish was lovely but the chip barm was also dry. Overly expensive and staff not overly helpful.

Use them all the time, best fish and chips in Lancashire! Would recommend highly.

Una tienda de pescado y patatas fritas sin limón ni lima , el aire acondicionado estaba soplando aire caliente todo el tiempo que estuvimos allí durante 25 grados más , sólo transacciones en efectivo y no el mejor pescado que he probado en blackpool. No es lo peor, pero definitivamente tomar un poco de convicción para intentar de nuevo.

Lovely I had large cod and chips wow crispy batter the chips are very tasty and I had a tube of gravy meaty gravy not watery gravy, definitely go back.

Never had such bad customer service in my life! Still annoyed at myself that I didn’t just walk out. Pink haired girl so called serving behind the till was absolutely disgusting! Huffing and puffing in our faces for making an order? Rolling her eyes, so rude, couldn’t be arsed! Never once said please or thank you. Owt else? Don’t have it. Food was very mediocre. But the service 😮‍💨 I’m still in shock! Ps. I never write reviews! Nearly £50 for the pleasure too!

The food was very expensive and the cans of pop!£2 for one can of cola but that’s not the worst of it seen as the lead cashier was very rude and shouting at other customers

Popped in for a quick evening supper for the end of a lovely birthday weekend, 4 of us, we were so pleased to find a beautifully clean restaurant and the toilets are so clean. The fish and chips are tasty and the batter is lovely and crispy, we like good quality and this was good quality and reasonably priced. The staff were lovely too. From the Birthday lady (the older lady with blonde hair)

Really enjoyed our lunch here. Got a large chips to share between 2 adults and a 5 year old, and got a sausage each plus drinks. Came to less than £20. Very tasty and a nice clean, pleasant atmosphere inside.

Food is rank rotten you'd get a better meal from the bins outside the place

So good! Much better than the other places we went to. The fish was cooked perfectly and the small portion is rather large. The place is clean and tidy with really pleasant staff. This children's meals are also very generous sizes.

The staff are very friendly and very helpful and would recommend it.

Went here on Saturday and was very disappointed with the large fish it was slimey, mushy flesh and greyish in colour ( most likely been frozen) The chips were not bad and I quite liked the curry sauce but wouldn't go back. Parking is terrible!

There is no excuse for frozen chips in a chip shop on blackpool seafront especially at £2.90 a portion, not only were they frozen they were also overcooked just like the pie was. The curry sauce is very bland and flavourless, overall the best part about the meal was the gravy. You're a large seaside chip shop peel a few potatoes and make real chips. The toilets need to be checked and cleaned and the toilet seat in the disabled toilet was broken and nearly killed me.

Really nice food a little pricey but worth it

Everything was lovely except the fish and chips were good served up on takeaway containers instead of plates. Not very environmentally friendly.

Most of the reviews for this place are very gushing but honestly I just can’t see what the fuss is about. After relaxing on the beach and walking from one pier to the other it was time to eat. The amount of fish and chip shops is enough to make you dizzy but this is the seaside after all. We just couldn’t make up our minds and chose this one out of desperation and it was a mistake. The fish is covered in hard batter and the chips are pretty solid too. Both totally tasteless. They say there’s plenty of fish in the sea but what’s the point when it’s cooked like this?

Please avoid, we fell into the trap of this one looking the best from others on the front, as our favourite was closed. Fish dry and rubbery, chips clearly been reheated in the oil as they were also dry, hard and greasy. Cost over £60 for a family of 5 and all left majority of their meal. Would not recommend!

The food here is excellent quality. The chips on their own never mind anything else are going for. Beautiful food. Excellent Batter. Side note : This chippy is so clean and I mean clean. It's extremely hygienic. The first place I visited in Blackpool to have gleaming toilets.

Went here Easter Saturday. Despite not being very busy the wait time was very long. One might think this was because they were cooking the food from fresh but the fish was dry and rubbery. The battered sausage was similar and tasted like it had been cooked the previous day and reheated. The chips were okay, but that's as good as it got. For £30 for 3 people the price vs quality was definitely not worth it. Better places available

Well where do I start no wonder why the place is empty the service is absolutely shocking stear clear better chippy 2 mins up the road wouldn't even give it 1 star

Just off the main road on the front in Blackpool. Really glad I found this one. We ordered 2 large cod and chips. We didn't realise how big it was going to be or we could have shared! Indoor seating and very clean toilets. The food was cooked fresh.

Went to Blackpool on a day trip yesterday, went to this chip shop for our .Dinner this chip shop must be the best restaurant in blackpool, it was so clean, the fish and chips where freshly cooked they where amazing, the man that served us was so nice .his customer service was outstanding, if your ever in Blackpool go and try it .in my honest opinion your will not be disappointed.

What amazing freshly cooked food! I had a child's portion of fish and chips and it was huge! Beautiful batter, soft white flaky fish and gorgeous chips!! Place spotlessly clean and staff friendly!

I actually found a fish & chip shop that still sells Battered Plaice, 👍Personally I’d have liked it cooked just a little longer. Staff really helpful despite being on my own I was told I could sit anywhere I wanted too so I wasn’t confined to the small tables for 2. Too many chips for me but very tasty.

The fish was nice but the chips were dry and hard, funnily enough the same as last time I reviewed this place 10 years ago. The service was fine, not too sure about the disposable packaging when you are sitting in a cafe as apposed to plates etc though. The kids didn't like the sausages either.

Best place in Blackpool by far to eat-in and enjoy your fish and chips, also ordered a side of mushy peas and a can of coke. Ordered large which would easierly feed two. Came with a huge portion of chips, couldn't eat them all and 2 ( yes 2!) large battered cod, fish was beautiful. I have eaten twice there now and would never order fish and chips in Blackpool anywhere else again especially from the cafe next door to it ( Waveleys) where I ordered large and discovered there was more fish in a fish finger, lol. (True)

Very busy place usually tells u its a great place and this place didn't disappoint. Delicious fish and chips, clean throughout, with clean toilets! And best of all its halal.

My sister and I visited here in December and was served by Mohammed. He was very very pleasant and polite and made sure that we were looked after and our meals were served quickly and they were absolutely delicious. The fish and chips were outstanding, the size of the fish was unbelievable, as in the biggest fish I have ever had, and I was even more surprised when we had a portion of curry sauce which was the best I have ever tasted. Our experience was a 5 star service and we will definitely visit again when we next visit the Foxhall Road premises again.

Having picked this Chip shop as looking the best out of the 3 on one street, we definitely picked the wrong one! Overpriced! Young Staff who were on the whole rude and not interested. Asked for salt and vinegar as we were taking the poor excuse for chips away and he grunted to tell me they were on the tables. So I had to ask a family sat at their table if I could borrow their salt and vinegar. Terrible set up! The portions were pathetic and the taste awful. Worst chip shop in Blackpool we have tried. Wouldnt return for a free meal. AVOID.

The sea had lots of tables and seating, service at the counter was good considering the amount of people in the queue, ònce ordered and paid, your given a bleeper to let you know order was ready, the food how ever was a let down, chips were hard, there was more batter than fish, curry sauce was grainy not cooked through properly and it all ended in the bin, staff were obviously rushing to get orders out, unfortunately this effected the quality of the food and they need to be aware, hopefully this is a one off. My review is not ment to be nasty, but quality should be consistent.

Quick serving. Amazing clean fish and chips. Large fish. Absolutely delicious. I even made a point of telling the chef how nice it was. (Not often I do that) A year later and just changed My mind. Been in today and It was horrid. Dirty oil taste. Gone right down. Not sure if they Have changed management or not. But won’t be back. Still got a Horrible taste in my mouth.

Full of scousers but what do you expect from a northern seaside town. Fish and chips served fairly quickly sauce needs to be on table though shouldn't have to but sachets..perhaps start doing spam fritters as well.

We visited Blackpool for a 2 night stay and ate here on first night . Worst fish and chip we’ve ever eaten. Chips had fat oozing when trying to pick them up with wooden fork! Cod was small and dry and seemed to be re heated. Not a patch on Welsh chippy where we live!

Chips were hard, sent them back, they did replace the chips and when the next lot of chips arrived they were slightly better but in my opinion not enjoyable. Fish was greasy. Very expensive for what we could eat. I would not recommend the food here.

I ordered fish and chips from here and they were very bland. In fact they were amongst the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten!

Seemed odd that the restaurant was cash only! Very strange in this day and age. Food OK ish and did the job. Staff were quite friendly.

In all our times in Blackpool how have we only discovered here,it was so good we had to go back again before going home.The staff are so lovely,the food was absolutely amazing and the curry sauce is just wow 😍.We will definitely be back,unfortunately on here it doesn’t have what i had to recommend but the battered sausage with chips and curry sauce and the kids chicken nuggets and chips were so delicious.

We've been a few times now here. Nice big restaurant with nice toilets. Dependable stop when you have small children. Thought we'd been unlucky last time, but same happened this time. Ordered a large fish and chips but instead get 2 mini fishes in the container. If we wanted mini fish, that's what we'd order. For the price, would prefer a large cod like we ordered. Chips nice. Kids nuggets great.

Having told relatives this was the best chippy in town, I took my wife, my parents who were visiting the town and my son and his girlfriend to the Chapel St chippy today ( 22nd Oct). Boy, has it gone downhill! We sat inside and ordered 6 lots of fish and chips. Gone is the waitress/ waiter service - you now get a thing that vibrates once your meals are ready to collect. None of us were impressed when we got our food in plastic take-out cartons instead of on a plate and wooden cutlery including a knife that couldn't even cut chips, let alone anything else. It is also now really expensive into the bargain - a can of coke was £1.50. The food was ok - everything else was bloody awful. I will not be going back and certainly won't be recommending The Sea to anyone else. Best avoided.

Fantastic chippy, clean, amazing food, massive portions. Is expensive but worth it. Was £54 for 3 adult fish & chips and a childs.

We visited on a Saturday evening and as such it was very busy. Tables all squashed in, and I couldn't even move my chair. The Ordereding area was a sham with people queuing between the tables where customers were eating and waitresses trying to get food out. Our food was served pretty quickly. I had cod and chips, and the fish was so thin as though I'd got the tail end and also very wet fish! The chips were good, and the service was good. Only cash accepted. Overall, it was a disappointing meal in a over crowded unorganised restaurant. We will not be revisiting or recommend.

Excellent great sized portions and staff were professional and attentive. Both portions were absolutely packed with chips and I’d say best mushy peas in BLACKPOOL !!!!!!!

We came for dinner around 7pm, 3 of us all having Pie and chips eating in. The food was great, perfectly cooked and tasty, inside was immaculately clean and disabled toilet was available with easy access, all of our party have mobility issues. Cannot fault the food or surroundings, will return

Food was yummy paid a 4.99 for a large chip balm and we got alot of extra chips too a small would of been big enough too... cans or pop are 1.50 umm it was clean and tidy dogs were allowed inside and the ones there were well behaved. Its got toliets and a big open back space too with more seating etc... staff were super friendly and appreciated the compliments customers were giving as they left which was lovely to see.

Very tasty fish and chips, opposite the beach, loads of people but very efficient service so there's not much queuing or waiting for food, actually arrived very quickly. Ample seating even though there were lots of people and clean too for how busy it was, a cleaner was busy always cleaning round the clock. We were 3 adults and 3 children we ordered a large fish and chips and curry sauce to go with each portion cost us around £27 it was more than enough. Everyone was stuffed by the end.

Food was fresh and perfectly cooked,special mention for all.the staff working Wednesday night 4th October who where so accommodating and really helpful,will definitely return.

After spending whole day in the Winter Gardens we fancied Fish & Chips. Weather wasn't great so opted to go next door to The Sea fish & chips. We weren't let down.
