Read some reviews ,some saying not good,thought we would still give it a go as staying close by,could not fault anything staff, food and service excellent,we had a take away a few years ago and it was good.this time we sat in and nothing could be faulted Thank you

Being a celiac i asked what cakes were available. Was told meringues. I mentioned that the meringues are contaminated dues to being on the same plate as chocolate éclairs and touching So was told they are aren't then. If I hadn't mentioned it I was be ill now. Clearly there is no understanding of celiac disease and the issues it can cause. LIKE CANCERS

Disappointing visit. Came after the air show and havent been for years but had always thought it had a good reputation and looks nice from outside and had plenty of tables. Seated ourselves and ordered from the till. The service was a little confusing as asked to order drinks first and then went to another lady who asked for your order. Drinks were left at the side to be collected but I heard two lots of people say these aren’t ours and the staff were unsure who their drinks tray had been given to. We were given cutlery on the tray but needed more and there were numerous cutlery plastics trays dotted around, all of which empty. I had to ask for straws and spoons as I couldn’t locate any and cutlery given didn’t include spoons. The food arrived quickly but was so disappointing for an actual fish and chip shop. My small portion was tiny. Around 15 chips and a tiny fish. Lots of the plate was visible and for over £5 I thought this was ridiculous, especially the amount of chips. My husbands regular was what we would consider small and he said was really greasy. I was surprised for a chippy that there was limited choice of fish. Ordered the children two beans on toast. There wasn’t a specific child menu which seemed strange and this was £4.75 advertised as beans with extra toast. It was just two slices with beans and I thought that cost was astronomical for beans on toast. Drinks also very overpriced- £2.20 for a small glass of milk. Similar for a small glass of fizzy drink. Toilets not great and the one I went in didn’t have a working flush so was bunged up with loo roll. No one came to ask if everything was ok or how the food was so it wasn’t easy to make a complaint (queue was large so we didn’t want to rejoin it to raise an issue as we had young children to sit with too). I had to get up and ask for extra napkins as they weren’t accessible to help yourselves too. Sauces charged extra and no peas as standard with the fish and chip meals which seemed unusual. Overall disappointed at the cost which far exceeds the portion sizes and quality. We live locally but wouldn’t return unless quality vastly improved and costs were more reasonable

Food was average, visited from London I though Londoners we miserable but these wow the staff so rude!! Plonked our drinks and cutlery on the opposite table to us there were 9 of us, I think of you don’t like tourist then advertise at the door. I would highly advise against going there if you want such a negative poor atmosphere. Beyond rude

The cakes are amazing but the food in general is home cooked and always good, we love eating here 😀

We have eaten here, and at their sister restaurant in Clevelys, several times over many years. We have never been disappointed with the food and found the staff to be unfailing helpful - and cheerful. I had scampi and chips, my wife had fish and chips. Both served with tea, bread and butter. (The butter was rather runny but it was 24 degrees outside!) The food was piping hot and tasty. Blackpool isn't too attractive these days - especially when you go a couple of streets back from the front - but the Bispham Kitchen never fails to please.

Very enjoyable time spent eating in this establishment. Food was good, service was spot on. Exceptional variety of sweets.

I left this establishment both exuberant and distraught. The bacon sandwich, incredible, the staff as cold and salty as the sea, the 20p ketup packets yet another kink in this whole roller coaster ride to bacon heaven

This was disappointing. Expensive. Poor atmosphere. There are other, much better places to eat or have coffee in Red Bank Road.

Best fish and chips in the area and the curry sauce is perfect.

Agree with so many others. We always came here but never again. Fish was nice but much smaller than usual, chips ok but cold. Main problem was the service. No cutlery, the young lady at the desk was unhelpful, and just so disappointed. Really loved it here but no more. Incidentally the toilets are a disgrace too. So sad

Says 'Award Winning' restaurant but nothing could be further from the truth. Nothing whatsoever was close probably the worst fish and chips for the costly price. 'Award Winning' fish and chips from £5.60 it says so myself, my wife and 3 month old baby girl went in as she was due a bottle feed. My partner ordered hers to be rudely asked "What...Only One meal?" I'm sorry but I don't think she has tried feeding a hungry baby in one hand whilst eating fish and chips in the other. Only to find the smallest glass of cola was £2.50 extra, curry sauce (which was bland as anything )another £1.40, and tartare sauce 40p for 2 dips. £10 for the smallest, blandest fish and chips and to rub salt into the wounds £3.50 for a latte that looked and tasted like dishwater. Finally, the constantly loud drone of operatic drivel was the icing of the cake nobody needs to listen to that whilst eating and drinking Avoid.

Wet here today as we usually do when we go to Blackpool. Terrible Fish & Chips! What has happened this place used to be great. It won’t be open for long and a chippy serving food as poor as this will not survive and what’s more doesn’t deserve to. Also very overpriced a complete rip off. My advice is go somewhere else.

Honestly was told to come n eat here by my sister. Drove past all the chippys and then to be very disappointed with fish and chips. Chips had the texture of frozen chips then fried. Regular haddock was tiny. More batter than fish and the batter was greasy. Please change the cheesy organ music. Pie n peas were good but paying for ketchup at the prices charged is a little rich. Please try harder. The chips are not good it's either the kind of preparation, type of potatoes or the oil.

Absolutely awful! Have been here many times in the past but it has definitely gone downhill. Fish was really small, greasy, and horrible batter. No one came to check with us if everything was okay and I know why! We were a party of 11 so it was not a cheap meal. We won’t be going again I’m afraid.

Unfortunately this place is now way too pricey for most families, tonight I paid £13.95 for The big Moby Dick fish and chips. We also had haddock and chips and small fish fish and chips The small is smaller than a child meal, haddock was ok but not much smaller than my moby dick. The same amount of chips all plates BUT here is the thing..... You get now sauce with the meal 20p for a small sachet..... Surely when you are paying £14 for a meal you can stump up at least two sachets per meal. Really poor value now (in my eyes) - I'll go back to Kays

Quality food at a decent price.

Lovely place to and eat and drink. Went with my partner and we both loved the food and the coffee was excellent too. Comfortable surroundings and spacious. My only slight criticism (and it is very slight) was the music in the background.. it's somewhat unusual.

The fish was not haddock as stated the chips were frozen tasteless and some were hard. The bread was fresh but not butter as advertised. We have been here many times in the past when on holiday but it's really changed and not for the better you also have to pay extra for sauce's all in all not good.

Food has gone down hill and staff can be very rude

Called in after having a good walk along the sea front and began to feel hungry .The interior was nicely decorated and ordered two small fish and chip meals and a pot of tea which has to be paid for on ordering which is no problem. The drinks came first as is normal and patiently sat down to enjoy them.A very long time had now passed and no sign our food which was strange as the restaurant had only got a handful of customers in. Eventually the meals arrived and we ate the chips and peas first before cutting into the battered fish and was met with a lot of oil coming out of the fish.Worst to come was after having a few mouthfuls we found the inside looking pinkish instead of the usual white.The texture was oily and slimey.This is usually an indication of uncooked fish and should not be consumed. We called the waitress over but she didn't seem to be at all concerned and didn't even offer us an apology never came back to us or offer something else.We definitely will not be returning.

Big breakfast is not a big breakfast at all, we left still feeling hungry and asked for a refund for my daughters meal as it was soggy toast and over cooked poached eggs, very slow service will not be returning

I think the chef has changed hands here? I came 4 months ago & food everything was very nice! However visited twice since, and will be the last for us. The sausages are very pale & not cooked right, I had to send them back! Food was tastless, and for a big breakfast, you are joking! Their tiny and not even close to a proper breakfast! You get x2 slices of toast cut into x4 for two people. Drinks are not included, and quite pricey for what you get. Sorry to say not returning such a shame. The food use to be delicious!

Microwaved food £2.90 for a tea bag and hot water. Pay for sauce the big breakfast is a small breakfast. Best bit was the beans and the toast.

This cafe is a little gem. Has a large selection of cakes, desserts and savoury bites. It is well worth a visit. Bispham tram stop 2 mins away.

Called in for breakfast 26/04/2024 as we had been before,but unfortunately was very disappointed with the meal,bacon was hard /crispy,and the toast hard,will not be returning 😡😡😡

When in Blackpool this is our favorite restaurant to have lunch. Always travel up from Blackpool on the tram and then a walk back. The weather today was perfect for it. Never managed or had room to eat one of the delicious looking desserts. One day I will.

Good food for a reasonable price.

We often visit here when we are over seeing relatives. Their mini fish(haddock)and chips deal for £5.60 is good value and the fish is quality. I am nit-picking but they charge 20p for a little sachet of sauce which I think is a bit mean .

The staff appear to be less welcoming than they used to be, and failed to get the orders right. Extras such as ketchup which you would expect to be included are extra. No low alcohol beers/ciders. The only saving gave is the spectacular deserts, which I not longer feel like having.

Food was horrible with no flavor and obviously microwaved. One person's food took forever to come to the point we had to remind them twice it was missing.

The steak pie is the best I've ever tasted, absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend it.

I've been visiting Bispham Kitchen for years. Always had a positive experience. However, this visit was very disappointing and has really put me off coming back. I ordered my usual of fish and chips. The meal arrived dripping in oil. My plate was so oil filled that the bottom of the fish went so soggy from sitting in the oil and all the batter fell off. Even my chips went soggy from all the oil. My mum's meal was also the same. I ended up sending then back because the food was inedible. 🤮 The staff were nice and brought out new meals, but the second attempt was only slightly better than the first. Such a shame. Not a cheap cafe so won't be risking visiting again. 😞

Been coming here for years, it's the first time the food wasn't up to standard. Chips were barely cooked, fish was oily inside and the batter tasted of bicarbonate of soda, peas weren't great either. Sad to say this but I don't think we'll be coming again.

It's always a pleasure to visit Bispham Kitchen! Haddock and chips was great and felt like a fair price. Strawberry Tart was lovely, tea was cracking too...

We have been going to the Bispham kitchen for fish and chips since it opened and always enjoyed it. Today we were served the most disgusting meal, fish did not taste fresh and was in slimy undercooked batter. The chips were hard in the middle to the point of raw. The cafe was almost empty and I am not surprised.

What a miserable guy serving, felt like committing Hari Kari ! Fish was swimming in grease and was very pungent, and over £5 for a very small piece. Next day was ill not saying it was that but is it coincidental ? Rubbish.

Called in for fish n chips. Very nice fish . Parking limited,but available on the side streets. Under five minutes from the tram stop.

Chips where hard small fish and the curry sauce taste like it been waterd down so many times no taste to it at all paid for 2 pots of tea got one and one pot of hot water what a saving this restaurant must be making

Have used their takeaway fish and chips was good. The restaurant was so poor chips were clearly frozen ones. More batter than fish on the fish, which was over cooked.

Great traditional seaside place Good food

We came to Bispham kitchens a number of times whilst we were staying in Blackpool as it is just around the corner from where we stay. The food choices are very traditional but the food is always very good and the prices are cheap. It was always very busy in the evening so we were lucky to get a seat. Street parking available or Bispham tram stop is just over the road.

WHAT A RIP OFF!!! i had steak pie.. was lovely but not worth £8.50! Fish isn't great bit tasteless batter is very light however Lovely place to eat but the cost is sky high... even charge 20p for sauces... non free with dinner .. and £2.70 for a small coffee ! Also served stale bread with fish n chips Would come back , but only of they reduced the prices !

This was nice fish and chips and I do recommend it. However I did feel it was a little naughty to pay for expensive extras like mushy peas beans and sauces. Normally these would come free. Hence 4 and not 5 stars. While you are waiting for your food, have a read of the walls, a nice history of Blackpool.

Didn't like breakfast..cheap sausage like rubber,thin bacon eggs overdone.

Was looking forward to eating here after reading some of the reviews but unfortunately I left disappointed. We ordered two sausage and chips , a small fish and chips, peas, curry sauce and a gravy. Menu states it's a gravy boat but ours wasn't. They presumed both the sausage meals wanted gravy so they came with gravy on them. I don't have gravy with chips hence why I order curry sauce. Didn't send it back as we had waited a while and wasn't prepared to wait again as we had a 7 month old baby with us who had had his food whilst waiting. The chips were very disappointing. We all thought they were dry (as if left under a heat lamp but I'm not say they were just how they came). Sausages were OK and lacked colour. Apparently the fish was good. We won't be back as we all felt it was expensive for what you got. Visited Saturday 06/JAN/2024

Dinner at Bispham Kitchen has been a regular family tradition over Christmas for over a decade now, but food quality and atmosphere don't seem to have recovered post pandemic. I have given it 3*s on all levels but in the past I would have given 4 and 5's

Bispham Kitchen serves the finest steak pudding chips and gravy that I have ever eaten.
