The Scone Larder in Perth & Kinross

Couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. From the moment we arrived till we left, Fernanda and her colleague provided a first class service. The menu choice was so good, we really needed to return to try everything! Can't wait to go back, thank you.

This place is clean, tidy and a pleasant to be in I would recommend it highly. We only went for a coffee but the food being served looked delicious

We chose this hotel for our evening meal when overnighting at the Atholl Palace. The setting is magnificent, as is the lounge where superb canapés were served. Unfortunately, the meal itself (not cheap at £65 for 3 courses) was disappointing, and the service was a bit haphazard. My starter (asparagus) was more raw than al dente, but my husband did better with his white onion soup. Both mains (pork roulade and featherblade of beef) were overcooked, dried out, and sadly lacking in jus. I skipped pudding, but my husband again did well with his ginger sponge. We mentioned our disappointment to the waiting staff, and the delightful receptionist deducted our drinks from the bill. Without being asked. Coffee and tablet in the lounge improved our mood, but we wouldn't rush back. Maybe the chef was having a bad night !

Best restaurant in Perth. Absolutely fabulous food and service.
