Came for the pub quiz with some friends which made for a good evening. Friendly characterful service - only drawback as the nominated driver was the limited range of non alcoholic drinks

Really weird that a pub doesn’t allow children AT ALL considering it’s in a village full of families. Was very embarrassed when the rude old lady working there spitefully made us feel like lepers because we had children! Was even scowling and unapologetic when I apologised profusely and clearly embarrassed because I didn’t know before I walked in! Being non family friendly is probably something u should advertise! Not even allowed outside on a sunny weekday afternoon to pass half an hour! Shot down by rod stewart before even got a chance to speak! Shocked and saddened to see a demise of a friendly place!

Having some work done on car at local garage. Thought we would pop in to The Saxon for lunch whilst work being done. Following COVID guidelines, went on line, got The Saxon's phone number and rang to book. Got through to a lovely chap who was pleased that I wanted to book a table at his house for lunch!!! He told me the Saxon had a new number and he had been re-allocated the old one. No sign of new number on line, so just checked opening times confirming open and thought we would pop in anyway. The Saxon was closed! I really don't want to be critical of any pub in these difficult times, but if we are to support pubs in safe way way, websites are vital, to enable people to book and confirm opening times. If its all wrong, what's the point! Bring on the Norman Conquest!

I went here with my parents, as we wanted to watch the a match on Sky Sports and whilst it has large screens and cheap drinks, I'd never go back here. The food is really poor quality but worst of all, we were sat down and I had to leave out of embarrassment for my mum because of how foul mouthed the patronage were - even Frankie Boyle would have been offended by some of the things being said from various people at the bar.

Iv been away for 2 years. When I got back I met some mates on the Saxon. Couldn't believe how bad it has got! Food was just average rubbish. Honestly go to the curry house next door. I waited at the bar only for some local everyday drinker to walk up and be served before me. Take my word for as a builder, the builders in there are the sort other builders don't drink with. They live for the weekend and getting trollied with the drugs. There's more cocaine in those toilets than a cocaine lab! Service was poor. Owners are new from what I remember. Clearly couldn't organise a piss up in a bury! You'll have a much better night with a curry and a few beers. Such a shame. Only pub in cheswick. It should be full and full of families. How is this pub not a family pub. Cheswick needs this! If your idea of a good evening is to spend it with loud swearing builders that talk loudly about what girl they did or racist rubbish and if you like mediocre food with suite service then this place is the place for you! If the guys at the Saxon are reading this, stop everything you're doing. That place is a very good potential money earner. You aren't making it be to the full potential it can be. All my family are very local and NONE of them drink in there and wouldn't.

Friendly staff, good selection of draught and bottled beers and one of the cheapest pubs in Solihull.

Nice little place, very clean and tidy, friendly staff and patrons, has Sky sports on. Drinks very reasonable, and a nice selection with specials too. Menu is limited and havn't tried anything as yet, but may on the next visit.

Went there on Saturday, nice atmosphere and friendly staff. It has been refurbished recently and is very warm Nd welcoming.

Been here a few times and defo would recommend. Food alway good also they do lovely buffets for special occasions like Birthdays.

Este pub ha cambiado de manos recientemente y aunque unchangef físicamente que parecían tener un poco más limpio y mejor dirigido. Acaba de empezar a ofrecer comida, pero no hay mucha diferencia de no parece el típico pub grub no hemos probado todavía. La cerveza está bien cuidado y usualmente tienen 2 o 3 cervezas. No está mal para unas copas pero no tiene mucho ir para itfor una noche de marcha.

¡Qué sombría, desamparo; para todos sin atractivo pub carente de ambiente. El porche es bastante pequeña, pero paquete a codo a codo con los fumadores. Por dentro es muy luminoso con una TV que es muy ruidoso, y actualmente hay una renovación en el lugar. El barman tenía problemas subiendo describiendo las bebidas no alcohólicas limitadas y sabía poco más acerca de la cerveza. Miramos en el menú y después fuimos a la siguiente puerta india.

Este pub, luchas en mejor para conseguir los números. De buen tamaño Village y el único pub que está en el pueblo, para acuñar una frase.Lo que me pregunto por qué es vacío incluso en un sábado por la noche?El nuevo director Simon el retorno en Bevan, ha hecho un pub, como una morgue.Sus angostos fisted y no podía cuidado maneras, ha puesto un clavo en el ataúd de un pub.El personal, aparte de Simon son geniales y me sorprende que trabajan con este hombre.Nos literalmente acabamos de regresar de allí y nos dijo que "la comida era difícil en lugares". Su respuesta fue" no estaba mal", me dijo "no era bueno " y nos dijeron lo mismo un par de veces.Gran formación de servicio al cliente por " El Westwood MSL grupo » para las sociedades de gestión.que puedo decir de pedir salsa como los pollos no siempre es la más sensibles ( porque a veces es pequeña y cocina a mucho ) y me dijeron salsa extra! Así que lo usamos un montón de rojos sobrecitos de salsa a 10 p un popno vamos a volver ahora hasta que vemos bajo nueva dirección.Le hubiera dado más, pero este hombre hace que sea difícil ya que es trabajo duro.Nettie Stuart y Jane, lo siento por lo que muchos

Vinimos para bebidas después de un paseo en bicicleta por un jueves por la noche. Gerente me dejaron probar dos cervezas. No estaba lleno, lejos de los días cuando tenían un karaoke los jueves en los años noventa. Los sofás son cómodas y hay un televisor de pantalla grande en la pared.

Long wait at bar, locals given priority for bar service. Full of builders swearing. loud music got the feeling of not being wanted in the bar. Verdict: scruffy pub down market.

Needs a thorough make over. Dingy decor unpalatable food Very cheerful bar staff but they are swimming against the tide. We will be sorry to see the demise of this hostelry. The best place in the pub is the toilet!

Visitamos para cumpleaños de un amigo, que regularmente ir allí porque de una buena relación calidad-precio para disfrutar de una buena comida. No tengo ninguna queja, tuve un filete y tenía cosas habituales, tan abundante como no pude terminar las patatas! No sólo que la señora que nos servía era muy atento a mis niños asegurarse de que estaban bien y se sirve su manera de comida antes de los adultos. Volvería otra vez con otros amigos si queremos una buena relación calidad-precio!

Fue un bonito y soleado domingo Ah no nos gusta cocinar así que nos fuimos a la Saxon cercano por primera vez. No nos decepcionó. Que hacer dos por 10 libras, que es una gran relación calidad-precio. Tres carne asador estaba bien preparado y sabroso. Como con muchas carveries, podría haber sido un poco más caliente. Estábamos demasiado lleno para las pudds que parecía bueno a £2,95 . El personal era amable. El pub en sí es bastante acogedor aunque un poco gastado en los bordes. Sin embargo no puedo ver el punto de pagar mucho más para comer en un lugar tarted como Victoria los bares Beckhams dormitorio. Sin duda volvería. Nos habían terminado por 2,00 y, aun así, fue agradable así que continuamos al sur de Henley in Arden por flan y el café en el Black Swan.( ver crítica aparte)
