Teodora was great. The roast was nice but the beef was not pink as promised. The potatoes were also very large and not flavoursome. We put our own music on as it was silent

This was a great pub, 8 of us dined on 13/08/2021 and the waiters and bar staff were very attentive and added a personal touch to the experience, my first time here and I'll certainly be going back !

Food was delicious, the fish and chips was huge and really well cooked! Staff were polite and helpful and the young man who brought us the check gave us our drinks on the house because he said we were a nice family! We really appreciated the service received and would definitely come again and recommend to others.

Such a shame to be writing this but the food was awful husbands steak was tough as old boots overcooked. Cocktail I requested from list not on waitress iPad so not available. Both our meals were under par a very expensive evening for not good food. Won't mention the seating plan was moved twice! We've been to sandpiper before and had lovely meals but unfortunately won't b returning.

My wife and I called into the Sandpiper for a late lunch on 14th August just after 1445 or thereabouts and the restaurant was not especially busy at this time. We ordered a 2 course lunch which included 2 mains (smoked haddock & spinach fishcakes/chicken, bacon & avocado salad) and 2 desserts (mini blackberry & apple crumble with 2 hot drinks included). The lattes were good when they eventually arrived some 20 minutes later. We then had to wait at least 30 minutes for the main course to be served. The fishcakes, which were described as ‘crispy ’ were definitely that and the tenderstem broccoli, which was very ‘al dente’, was mostly burnt black, both had obviously been left unattended under a grill and were, to put it politely, overcooked. I had problems cutting the broccoli with an ordinary knife and would have found a Stanley knife a more appropriate utensil! Next came the desserts, or, to be more precise, they didn’t come for at least 30 minutes, after we finished our meals, even though our plates had been taken away and several waitresses were continuously going backwards and forwards to serve other tables. We eventually had to ask when we could expect to get our desserts which, judging by the total time they took to arrive must have been lost in the ‘mists of time’. At no time throughout our meal were we approached/asked if the meals/everything was all right - it certainly wasn’t fine by any standards! I am not blaming any particular member of staff for this debacle just the general ‘ethos’/lack of co-ordination/communication between your staff/management! I didn’t bother raising my dissatisfaction with your staff since I doubted that it would have achieved a positive result and then left feeling somewhat aggrieved at about 1610. Returned for lunch with friends, one needing gluten free food. We were served by Chris again who was so polite and very knowledgeable about what our friend could have. The roast dinners were lovely and Chris checking on us regularly in case we needed anything. Looking forward to going again.

A lovely meal was had by all when we visited on a Sunday, last month. The food was excellent and our waitress Isabelle was superb and very efficient. We will definitely be going back in the future as our experience was very positive, good value for money and delicious food cooked for us.

Chris, Joanne, Louise and the rest of the team are absolutely amazing. Can’t do enough for you. I don’t think we have had one bad meal at the Sandpiper. We’ve even booked for Christmas dinner this year.

The food was very tasty. We had the Sunday roasts. The staff were friendly and helpful, bringing the meals pretty quickly and clearing away the dirty dishes once we were all finished. They checked consistently that we were ok and if we needed anything else. Thank you for a pleasant visit for a birthday meal.

Isabelle made us feel very welcome always made sure we was okay. The food was lovely really nice 👌

Had a lovely meal, price was reasonable. Staff were helpful especially Kieran who was very knowledgeable about the food and even gave some highly recommended menu options . Will be coming back.

Best fish and chips I've had in ages! We love this pub. It has a really relaxed atmosphere. My husband had a burger which he thoroughly enjoyed and our daughter was very impressed with her pasta. Apparently it was better than mine 🤷 Jacqueline (sorry if I've spelt your name wrong) was a really attentive server, couldn't fault her. We had a nice chat with Amy too, who was incredibly welcoming. We'll definitely be back.

Food quality was good but time of waiting for was one hour. I did have to ask manager about my food. Also, I did ask about salt and ketchup one lady on the desk She doesnt help for me ! I did hear only APOLOGIZE. It wasn't enough because I spend there 1.5 hour and about £70. I don't recommended !

Handy location just off the motorway, stopped in for food after a long journey. Nice pub, good selection of beers. Good quality food and friendly service (think his name was Ross). Will definitely be back to make use of the voucher after signing up to the app too!

Had a family meal here. A birthday celebration for my daughter. Food was great & the drinks were served in the correct glasses. I hate it when you get a beer in a different branded glass! We had an incredible meal here. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was just right for a lovely day out. Our waiter, Andy, really stood out with his friendly and attentive service. He made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us great recommendations.

Had a lovely meal here with my partner and doggie. Lovely staff and the food was amazing. I had the bre bites to start and seabass for main and my partner he had the crispy chicken and a burger and we both really enjoyed it. The staff where so friendly especially Ross. Came a few weeks ago and Chris who was the host showed us to our table was very accommodating, I believe it was Phoebe who looked after us and she was amazing and very helpful, the lamb was amazing as well as the sea bass. Have not been for about 4years decided to come today for dinner. Weather fantastic. So really nice sitting outside.waited about 30 minutes for food which we didn't mind. Had the steak burger. And my partner had the buttermilk chicken burger. Thee frys were cold .and did not think much of the burger for the price £17.00 for cold frys and a burger that's loaded with gunk. Had better in MC Donald's . 😔 Sorry but that's my opinion and certainly won't be back. Don't mind the price if the food is good. But did not enjoy did eat half of it as was hungry but very disappointed.

Went last Monday. The food was amazing, really tasty and came quickly after ordering. I also felt that it was value for money in terms of quality and portion size compared with other restaurants in the area. The staff were really helpful and attentive. Our server was Ross who recommended so items and obviously had a real knowledge of the menu when we told him what we liked. I felt like he couldn’t have been more attentive and we never went without a drink for more than 5 minutes which was great. Will be coming again and would definitely recommend.

Had a lovely experience here today. Weather was so nice so fancied a pub lunch. I have a few different allergies and the guy who served us (Ross) was so helpful and advised me what I could have etc. I would definitely recommend here. Atmosphere is great.

Fabulous restaurant .last minute booking for 10 service was excellent knowledge about what was being served gluten and dairy available and even worked another meal to suit this . Could not recommend this restaurant highly enough . 2 minutes easy access from m58 .

Stopped off for a drink when on the road. was warm, welcoming, staff friendly and great service. Food looked and smelt great so will be back !

Upon arrival my wife and I were shown to a table and the lady took our drinks order. They didn't arrive for a good ,20 min and only then after we chased up the order. When the soup came we had to send it back as it was luke warm. Would you believe that when it came back it was still luke warm so had to be sent back again. How can you get soup so wrong? When the main meals came they also were only just warm. We didn't send these back as we were just fed up by then. All in all, extremely disappointed with the whole event and won't be returning. We are not awkward people, just people out for a Sunday meal without any hassle.

Went on a Friday night, there were 2 of us and we had 3 courses and a total of 4 drinks ,total bill £92.00. The food was tasty and very well presented, the staff very friendly but the service on the slow side. In all we enjoyed the evening.

Absolutely amazing ! Food was great and our waiter Michael was very efficient and accommodating. My daughter loved that the bottle of ketchup was called Josie ;)

Food was not good. Steak tasted awful and sauces were not edible. Calamari were suposed to be salt and pepper they wernt but we're still ok.

Had a staek sandwich chiabatta over done steak over done chips over done. Poor only ate it because we were hungry won't be back disappointed 😔.

Upon arrival was told that seabass was unavailable upon ordering was told that Lamb (which we both wanted) was also unavailable, just seemed such a shame when the restaurant wasn’t that busy and it was early in the night that the menu was selling out so quickly, did put a dampener on the night truth be told.
