The Sandbrook in Rochdale

I recently visite this sandbrook crown for breakfast, and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The food was simply awful—poorly prepared and lacking in flavor. On top of that, the prices were unreasonably high for the quality offered. Considering the combination of bad food and high cost, I can confidently say it’s not worth visiting this place. There are far better options available in the area for a satisfying and affordable meal. Save your time and money and look elsewhere.

Food was ok. Not enough staff, one staff member was really nice, the rest not so much. Everything took ages. Tables weren't being cleared. Customers were moving other customers plates so they could sit at the table. Had to request kids ice cream twice, took about 40 minutes to get strawberries and ice cream. Staff looked offended when we asked the second time.

Food was cold on carvery on Sunday 19th and prices have gone up. Staff were friendly though. Improvement needed cover food when not busy or replace please.

Great service the staff are lovely

Carvery was nice could just do with being a little warmer. Offers on the app are good and fact we can collet reward point.

Faye is amazing at her job, love coming here for see her Beccy and the team.

Very friendly staff, great food and atmosphere

Never ever again I spent nearly £100 for 4 of us that includes two kids meals, they lost 2 of my tickets which meant I waited nearly 1 hour for my drinks and the same for my dessert... we went to the bar 4 times and when it finally arrived the brownie was the size of my little finger(the brownies was adult ones)

The sandbrook is my local and is always hospitable and friendly. Great sports playing throughout the day. Chilled atmosphere with quiz nights on a thursday. Carvery is great as well as bar snacks. I usually go after work with a few colleagues occasionally and the staff are brilliant. Always friendly and welcoming :)

Visited for Xmas dinner with the family and it was lovely. Food was great and the service was amazing we were served by Judit, Micia and Skyla they were lovely and a credit to the restraunt! Thank you :)

Had a fabulous time at the Christmas Pizza Party. Our girls loved it. Katie and her team were amazing and ensured all the children got involved. Plenty of activities such as a disco, games, prizes and of course Santa and the Grinch. Thanks again guys we will see you for your next party. Highly recommended 🤩

Great food the turkey was amazing the staff were so friendly and both my kids had the bast time.

Absolutely 💯 disgraceful no meet and greet your staff are so stuffy dressed the carvery had only 2 kinda of meet we had to wait 15 minutes before someone came to c to us and the food for cold I was so annoyed never again will we eat there again also the tables were not cleaned it was so disgusting 🤢

My go to place every time. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. The food is good pub grub. The fresh made pizzas are a dream!

Not often I give a 5 star review for everything but credit where credit is due, firstly the staff was so attentive. My partner wanted carvery (as always) and I was unsure what I wanted, I got a recommendation from the girl on the bar and chose the philly stack burger and my o my wad that the best choice! My food arrived at the same time my partner had got her carvery and we got to eat together that usually unheard of at other places. So wanted to leave this review to say a huge well done to the staff tonight you made our visit very enjoyable and we will definitely be visiting again.

The service was amazing from the staff tonight and the food was excellent🙂 will definitely recommend and will return next time.

Starters are great for the picky bits the cheddar jalapeno donuts are lovely great staff pleasent atmosphere

We come as family often on a Sunday and we have enjoyed every single visit. Staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. We highly recommend it. Special thank you to Faye for attention to detail and brilliant customer service.

Dried up food today and extremely rude arrogant chef serving the carvery. Says hes worked ther years and the food is always like that.!!!

Reasonable breakfast for seven and a half quid. Slightly shabby furniture but you get what you pay for.

Breakfast was fabulously delicious, love the fact that mushrooms are now included in the breakfast. Food was hot and tasty, great service. We will be back again.

Waiting ages for a plate, to then get a plate and ask if he would be getting mushrooms which then took another 15 mins to come out, by this time the rest of the food on my plate was cold. Too busy doing internet orders. Not enough staff. Absolutely awful. Tables not been cleaned after people have left

Absolutely freezing. Doors wide open. Told by a young member of staff pub was too warm. So everyone sat in their coats. Terrible.

Shocking been here a few times before and ok, but today meat was all fatty food luke warm Roasties warmed that much inedible , the bottomless ice cream now consist of ice cream and sauce no topping unless you pay a extra 50p each for toppings

I have just been for a breakfast and have never been so disappointed. The bacon looked uncooked, not everyone likes raw looking bacon. The beans swimming in what appeared to be a watered down sauce, tomatoes freezing and sausages were cooked on one side raw on the other. These views are not just my own as there were people in the queue who had the same opinion. The standards have dropped dramatically . I have been refunded because it was not edible 🤮

Never had a worst carvery . The portion of meat was an absolute joke . When I complained the guy serving laughed and said “well it was worst last week we was made to weigh the portions “ he was serious . I will never go back x

All you can eat breakfast for £5.99 awesome. Also have free refills on the hot drinks. Was paying £7 previously to go somewhere else and it was just what you got on the plate. So bargain. Food was delicious. Will definitely be returning for more

Really cheap nice place to eat good carvery on the weekday ,the Sheff is very friendly and takes pride in his food and speaks to his customers, the guy is top notch 👌, food was nice to what I like for the price ,playground was good for the kids above 5 year old tbh otherwise they might nit be able to get up the climbing frame ,overall nice place to eat amd have time out if you live in the areas near 😋

The all you can eat breakfast is nice, but could do with scrambled eggs. Also could do with individual Nutella pots for the waffles.

Good hot food, reasonable variety. Not sure why the mushrooms have to be paid extra but other than that would recommend. Unlimited tea / coffee and toast etc is worth the price.

The place was severely understaffed, and the staff were frantically running around. We ordered our food using the QR code and paid for it. However, when our drinks arrived, we were informed that it would take 90 minutes for our food unless we opted for the carvery. We reluctantly chose the carvery, but the food was either burnt or undercooked. The atmosphere was disappointing as some parents seemed unable to control their kids. I definitely won't be going back there, considering the price I paid, I could have dined at a much better and more established place.

You pay extra for mushrooms, which wasn't mentioned when paying for the breakfast, overall the food was quite dry. The rotisserie toaster had to go round 3 times so when's it busy I imagine it's a nightmare.

Been here a few times now after downloading the app to get the deals,breakfast all you can eat(and we do) does not disapoint and the staff are happy and welcoming.

The Stone House pizza & carvery... Was no less that perfection! From the highly trained staff, the high quality food and the greatest value for money I have ever seen in this day and age! My team and I were here to feast before watching Beatle Juice Beatle Juice. Which is the sequel to Beatle Juice. None the less. The team, the food the brilliant service made our cheeky Friday movie night out a dream come true! We can only hope the movie meets this high standard! 11/10 Would recommend feasting here before your night at the movies! X ✨️👍

We were very disappointed on the state of the food from the carvery, hardly any meat given and the veg was dry, the roastie were way to crispy and actually had no potato inside. When ordering we were nit given the option of pigs in blacket or any yorkshire puddings.

Waste of money ..the food was cold and hard..seemed like it had been sat there all day.. everything was running out no gravy, no mint sauce. The potatoes were as though they had been deep fried rather than roasted and the Yorkshire puds were like cardboard. The place was filthy food and bits all over the floor. Only one person serving on the bar..and had to ask for the chef to come out of the back to serve us . .. after just standing around for over 5 mins while the girl cooking the pizza was just looking at us . Don't bother wasting your time of money here

I just wanted to say the cocktails at the bar were so delicious and james at the bar was so efficient and speedy with his cocktail making. Service was amazing, would highly reccomend.

Nothing to complain about - food is fresh and tasty. Service is quick and friendly. Drinks seemt o be pricier than they used to be, but that's just life now. Toilets could do with a refurb, but they seem to be clean.

Called in for pre bike trip to Isle of Man race weekend. Big biker breakfast for two. Just the ticket, to set us up for the ride to Liverpool port.

Started off okay at the till ordering and paying for our food. Then we went to get our carvery and there was no queue but had to wait for nearly 10 minutes for someone to come out and slice our carvery meat. He hardly put any meat on both our plates. Everything was bland, no taste at all. The roast potatoes where hard and difficult to cut and had a very strange flavour to them. Overall a bad enough experience for us not to want to come again or recommend to anyone we know.

Came ere for a carvery 25/8/2024, staff was lovely, carvery was awful, potatoes was like bullets, rock hard, I asked for turkey, so stingy on the meat, I basically paid for peas, green beans, carrots cos that was all I thought was abit edible

Great way to celebrate my belated 18th birthday with my family. Our server Skylar was second to none. The food was delicious, leaving our appetites satisfied. The only negatives were the roast potatoes being overly dry and dense from being left under the heat lamp for too long and the ice cream machine kept running out due to its popularity with the other customers. Overall, a great evening and we will definitely be coming back in the future.

I go with friends on Thursday nights for the quiz. We eat there. The food is good and 90% of the staff are pleasant. My problem is, every time I have ordered a desert, I have had to ask for it to be brought to the table. Last night we ordered food at the table on the app at 730. The drinks came straight away. We waited an hour for the food but it didn't arrive so we asked how much longer. We were told that they hadn't got our order although an email was received saying thank you for the order. We had to wait another 20 minutes for our order. We never received our deserts. Somebody needs to keep on top of the orders. If this was done, I would be very happy with the service.

Smashing place for a good breakfast, WiFi and plug sockets for laptop working, all you can eat for £6. Hotel style help yourself. Friendly staff what's not to like.
