Chips were soggy. Batter on sausages was soggy. Supposed to be new management. Everything tasted reheated. Won't be back! Placed order on app. Never put it on until we went to collect which is strange considering you pay up front! Who pays for an order to not collect it? 🙄

A soggy fish and greasy chips. Whoever was cooking tonight 13th needs to retrain. Have enjoyed food from there before and was fine. Whoever was on tonight needs to retrain

My order was put in & after 30 min wait the person after me with a similar order got served before me.I told young girl this & she apologised & offered me an extra sausage & chip! The young man who was frying food forgot to cook my original sausage so I had another 15 min wait and all while my fish& pastie were waiting! I was so looking forward to a crispy battered fish, pastie supper & sausage, sadly when I finally got home it was a very soggy fish & pastie with enough chips to feed an army to make up for the mistake but all I wanted was my original order! Get your act together as I won't be going back!

Ordered a ‘jumbo’ chip for £4 from the Rathmore road one. thought it couldn’t be that bad despite the terrible reviews… how wrong I was. They looked like they had been cooked over a radiator and there wasn’t even enough to provide side orders for a 6, 8 and 10 year old. Avoid… even for chips!

My husband went to collect an order placed on your app at the Gransha road shop . When he arrived he was told by a young girl that the order didn’t exist and it must have been placed with another store . The girl rang the other stores and they didn’t have a record of the order. My husband then showed a older “woman” my email confirmation that clearly stated collect from Gransha . The older woman then continued to be rude to my husband and kept saying it wasn’t her fault . My husband hadn’t blamed anyone at this point ! She continued to Be rude and unnecessarily conflicting. Miraculously the order suddenly appeared 20 minutes after It was due . To which my husband was asked if he still wanted it ! Of course he wanted it .!! The woman continued to give my husband attitude and was extremely rude and unpleasant. She told my husband he wouldn’t be served in the shop again and refused to give her name . This happened at 5.30 pm at your Gransha Road shop so shouldn’t be difficult to work out who the woman is !

Ordered online for collection. Order was missing a chip as part of a supper plus a 2oz dip. Food quality was good. No excuse if something is ordered in black and white!

This review is for Gransha Road shop as they have three in Bangor Co. Down. Frying Squad on Balloo Rd and Rathmore Salt House. None are good based on reviews but the Gransha Road is my local. Since it was opened a few years ago the prices advertised on the board are cheaper than the prices you’ll be charged at the till, roughly 50p extra. When I queried this explaining that it’s illegal, false advertising and against trading standards rules I was told I was ‘drunk’ in front of my 9 year old daughter. This was roughly 7 o’clock in the evening. Unbelievable. Stay away from these shops.

We arrived at the salt house around 7:50 and were told that they only had chips left to serve and that they were closing bare in mind this was 10 to 8 and they are open until 9 one of my friends was wearing an antrim GAA jersey which clearly they had spotted because shortly after 3 out of 5 of us had ordered the chips several other people arrived and ordered fish suppers, chicken burgers etc. The two staff members that were working the late last night should be sacked an absolute disgrace.

However, once I had ordered chips more customers started coming in and ordering meals such as fish suppers, chicken burgers etc. The staff clearly seen the Antrim top and did not want to serve us will not be back and do not recommend.

Don’t know if this is the same owners as salt house Gransha rd? But we’ve just had the worst fish we ever had. The fish could not have been thinner ,all batter which had obviously been fried a few times . Virtually inedible. You need to go down to chip shop inPortavogie to see how to make fish. . I hope Millers new fish and chip shop is better than this as we definitely won’t be back to Gransha rd for fish Ever again.

I use this 'Fish & Chip Restaurant/Chippie' once a month approx and have never been disappointed with Haddock or Cod supper. In my experience, any phoned in order is always ready as planned. Walk in order can be slow. The fifth star was missed on account of lacking consistency for walk in service - I ordersameeverytime and can wait 10 mins or 40 mins. Answer is phone in! Keep up the good work Salt House especially in these Covid19 times with many other Fish & Chip Restaurants closed; your efforts are hugely appreciated.

We visited twice on our holiday, once just for chips and once for a fish supper. Staff were friendly. Food was hot and there was a nice crispy (and not too heavy) batter on the fish and the pasty. It hit the spot after a very busy day.

So , we had come here before in February as a family of 6 adults - the staff were friendly, but my view was that the food was ok at best, the drinks were pricey and the layout meant people were always squeezing past - personally I could take or leave going back but wanted to try again to support local business. Roll forward to April - table was booked on the Friday for Sunday at 5 - got there only to find no booking and no space - even though evidence of the call was shown . Turned out better in the end as we went to Blue Chicago and had a cracking meal at about £50 less than the last one we had in Teddy’s - shame as would have liked to support a small local business, but unlikely to give this another chance.

Went to Jenny Watts tonight for dinner with visiting family. Lovely Irish pub, friendly welcome and good to see a coal fire lit on a chilly evening. Food arrived quickly and was very tasty, great fella served us, welcoming and brilliant to see a friendly Irish person after our bad visit to The Dark Horse in Belfast. Great night out and we would happily return for food or drinks.
