Brilliant pub for all the family. We all enjoyed the Sunday funday that they do. Lot of games for all the family.

We came from Grimston in Norfolk to the pub for a 50th birthday party. We found it to be a great pub, the beers were good plus they had live music on too! And we paid another visit today for Steve and Bevs wedding, it's still just as a good pub!

We hired the function room out for my Sons surprise 30th birthday. What a lovely pub, the room was plenty big enough and the staff were amazing, didn't have to wait long at the bar for drinks, plenty of staff on hand to help out. Would highly recommend hiring out the function room, good night all round.

I don't like coming to a pub when I have choose to like away from my home town for both personal and medical reasons and yet the second I get there feel its OK to share that with my fam

A fascinating re-visit to this historic town centre pub. Last time around was in the late 1970's, when I just about remember it being a very comfortable, rather upmarket, pioneering real ale hotel. A much different feel today, with the initial impression being one very much of a bustling community local. Enjoyed our family lunchtime pit-stop nontheless, especially the Yorkshire pudding special wrap with gravy which was totally awesome. Shame there were no cask ales, but the Guinness was nicely poured by a very friendly bar staff lady.

Reasonably priced beers with a good selection of drinks. Ideal for the younger person as music on at weekends.

All round lovely place, rooms are a good size and nice and clean and the food downstairs was spot on, atmosphere on a Thursday night is not to be missed.

The foods cracking, the drinks are cheap and the service is excellent. I would highly recommend the visit

Found pub by accident whilst working nearby was amazed at prices perfect pint excellent landlady an staff food was excellent and Thursday karaoke is deffo worth the visit

I rung up to ask for some more information about there food service to be told by the bar staff “find it out yourself” as the kitchen is just hired out. I then rung their kitchens phone number, the lady that answered was so kind and helpful. She gave me all the info that was needed and NICELY explained that the kitchen and the bar are 2 seperate buisnesses, witch is understandable but there was no need for the bar staff to be so rude when I only asked when they opened! This has happened on 2 occasions, one by the management and another from a young lad. As an older person who needs help with these things it’s very disturbing to be spoken to like an idiot. Thankyou to the kitchen for all there help and I will be ordering through you directly, as for the bar staff you have lost another Costumer.

We came in today met with some friends and the lady behind the bar was so nice, she was very friendly and we had a good chat with her. Would definitely recommend this lovely pub the lady called Bev told us about the DJ and Karaoke they have on tonight and also about Sunday Funday which sounds so much fun and you can win some money from Bingo and other good games think we will be coming back in as we are going to the light switch on so will be coming in here lovely place.

Come here every couple of weeks with family for a get together and some lunch and the service is fantastic, friendly welcoming staff, we all love it here thank you everyone at the rutland arms 😊

Stayed for a long weekend. David and Tash couldn't have done more to make our weekend one of the best ever. Rooms were spotless and service was fantastic. Can't wait to stay again. We would highly recommend this tavern.

My husband and I like to try different pubs for lunch when we're out and about. Today we went to Newark and went into the Rutland Arms for lunch. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. It's a Marstons pub so very well priced drinks but the food is by Newark Roast. The menu has plenty of choice. I had hot roast beef bap with roast potatoes and a jug of gravy and my husband had the braised steak in a giant Yorkshire with mash and vegetables. 10 out of 10 for both meals. They were great and served quickly. Definitely our new go to place in Newark. Give it a try and see for yourself.

Meal spoiled by youths playing pool and using obscene language police were called not what you want with your Sunday dinner

we went for sunday lunch, i had pork , my friends had roast beef .meals good and drinks fine.we would not go back because of the loud music, we all have different taste in music,

Was quite shocked to see a cat on a lead let to walk around on the tables, very unhygienic needless to say we won’t be returning

Me and the girls go to the Rutland most weekends for the music and kareoke and always have the best night in there we love the staff they are all so lovely and the drinks are very reasonable priced xx

Great atmosphere and bar staff are very friendly, the pub has a large beer garden that will be amazing in the summer, they have a large function room which is free to hire out, not many places now free. I met up with some friends on Saturdays and can honestly say that the place is buzzing at night, will definitely be going back regularly

Staff is great the vibe is awesome The drinks and special offers are worth exploring The music and fun activities are engaging ------We stay across the street and the loud music till late night disturbs our sleep and causes raucous and that should stop as a nuisance cant be tolerated at an expense of someone else/locality------ Otherwise worth going and chilling

I always have a great night here! And it's also great for a quiet little drink and quick game of pool during the day. It's dog friendly and the my children enjoyed coming in for a quick fruit shoot during the summer. Any time I'm out for a night out I always make sure to pop in at some point during my evening.

I'm leaving a review on the yagermister competition... As I'm the biggest consumer of yager bombs in the pub this surely has to be mine to win.... I regularly come into the Rutland and buy 30 yagerbombs.. they even stock up with supply's when they know Neil Ramrodreilly is coming... if the pub ever ran out of supply's I'd travel to Germany to fetch stock for them free off charge...

A warm, friendly, local pub at the heart of the Newark community! Drink and food prices are very fair. The Rutland Arms is also a great place to watch the World Cup and their quiz nights are great fun!

Amazing atmosphere today at the Rutland while watching England play staff amazing music played during half time and also the price of the drinks was a good deal. The staff was wearing referee shirts which actually set the atmosphere better will definitely be back in on Fridays for the next England game: thanks guys for a great day

Friendly staff, good atmosphere

We heard there was a fund raiser in this place. So we checked it out so glad we did because they had live bands called Under the covers rock duo and also Suburban toys, there was also a bbq and raffle. It was such a great atmosphere and the staff was amazing, the beer garden was full and so was the bar. We all had a great time and we will be back again soon, looking forward to seeing more bands and can’t wait to return

Nice boozer with a good outside space

We came across this pub which is down a side street and we was so glad we did. The pub has a massive beer garden which is a sun trap which is amazing their DJ was playing outside from their function room which was fantastic they even asked if anyone would like to request anything which not many DJ’s do. The staff was amazing the place was so clean and tidy. We had our pet dog with us which we was pleased that they was a pet friendly pub. Oh my god the amount of different gins they have is amazing, We spoke to some locals and was told that they have DJ and karaoke on Saturdays and also on a Thursday they do £2 a pint from 12 till close. This place is a little gem we told staff that we would be back again with friends who we was with and they also was amazed by the atmosphere in this place. The toilets are so clean and fresh smelling the staff are always going round collecting glasses and also cleaning the tables which you don’t see in a lot of places now. If I could rate this pub out of 100 I would definitely give it 1000 % We would just like to thank the member of staff who was on and their management that this pub is amazing

Town pub, might do food not sure, can be busy and rowdy. Toilets need work.

The place was very clean, the bar staff were very lovely. It can get quite busy, especially when footie is on (but that's expected). The atmosphere in there is phenomenal and the table service is great and quick. There is hardly any interactions with bar staff which is good, especially with the pandemic, but I feel like it should be more covid safe. There isn't a lot of space but could just be because I visited during footie and there are no screens between tables but aside from this, I very much enjoyed my night there and will 100% return.

Not used the hotel but regularly use the pub facilities. Very welcoming staff, great with the children too. Pool table, darts, music, all you need for an afternoon drink.

What a dive I assume the other reviews didn't stay the night. Rooms are set in the 1970s the floor was more comfortable than the bed. This place should have its hotel licence removed. Complete dive.
