Rooms a little dated, cleanliness is not great. Nice pub but few people. We arrived at 8:30 p.m. and the kitchen was already closed. Uncomfortable beds. In the bathroom a window that doesn't close... With the wind and the cold it was maybe 10°C in the morning, difficult to take a shower or a bath.

Had Christmas Dinner here. Was lovely food, amazing friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble. Food wasn't rushed and the manager was brilliant telling us about the history of the pub. Will definitely be back soon.

I come to the gaming club that's run here and have to say the staff are wonderful. As an Assistance Dog I'm welcomed with a fresh bowl of water which they will happily bring to my mums table (she often drops things). They make sure my mum is able to park her mobility scooter safely and have even charged it for her when she's been worried about how much life it has left. They have portable ramps so even areas with a step a wheelchair user can still access. While the gaming club meet in a room with 3 steps they are very accommodating, making sure that if my human was having a bad day, they would set up a more accessible table for her. In a world where so much us inaccessible, it means the world when people do everything they can to make an older building easy and welcoming. The quality of the food and lemonade is great according to my mum with the bar snacks being high quality. It's definitely not a whetherspoons, it is a traditional good old fashioned pub. If you want a proper pub with good food and kind welcoming people this is the place.

Excellent place to stay as very central to everything. Staff are amazing and look after you. Rooms are lovely, even if floors are uneven (it is an exceptionally old building) Will be visiting again soon

We had a one night stay here just recently. The parking is a little difficult to get to but this was mainly due to the roadworks nearby. We ended up parking in a carpark around the corner as it was much easier to get to. The staff were very welcoming and the check in was simple. We made our way through the winding corridors and eventually found our room. The room was 'OK'. The decor is very dated and worn and in urgent need of renovation. The cleanliness was just OK. The bed was comfortable. The location was perfect - we didn't have to walk further than a few hundred yards to get to where we needed to go. Overall I would say this is a cheap and cheerful place but don't expect too much. Can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there. The bar is attractive and has a pool table, arcade machine, restaurant area and comfy chairs.

Location is in the main town which is central, parking is at the rear and had to get a different post code to navigate to it's access, would be worth putting on the website. Can't fault the politeness of the staff as everyone was very helpful. Room I stayed in however was very dusty and tired looking. Bedding was clean though but the furniture all looked a bit poor. One thing I couldn't work out was the key to the security front door opened the room door so unless I'm wrong all the room keys must be the same unless someone comes back to me and tell me different. It it's the case security is a real issue. Would I go back, No, but it served a purpose.

My husband and I enjoyed our stay with The Vic and Bull. We stayed in an ensuite room and it was perfect. It’s an historic building so there are creaks and wear and tear. All part of the charm. Our room was big, very clean and stocked well with towels. There was a coffee and tea station and toiletries if you need them( shower gel and shampoo). Our room was made up every day. The staff were warm and friendly. And the bar was great to sit in and enjoy a drink or three. The hotel is within walking distance to the train station. Five minutes to shops including Sainsburys. There are markets right out front every Thursday and Saturday. Definitely recommend and would stay again 😊

Staying here as it has easy access to Brands Hatch. What a ovely little pub and hotel. Room was clean, and the beds were really comfy. Food was very good and staff were lovely. The bar area is really cool with some quirky period features, good ale and a pool table to play on. Will stay again. Thank you.

Room ok, apparently the bathroom had just been renovated. The furnishings are quaint. The smell of urine from the disabled toilet permeated the entire restaurant, and the food was catastrophic. Four out of eight dishes ordered were sold out three hours before the kitchen closed. The service didn't know about it. The hamburger consisted of two dried-out "bun" halves, a pattie that resembled the consistency of a burnt shoe sole, and a breaded onion ring that was dripping with frying grease. The pasta (finished product) was cooked for too long, but the contents of a tetra pack of pureed tomatoes were lukewarm. I couldn't find the promised mushrooms. The starter consisted of pureed tasteless shrimp, formed into small thalers, breaded and fried in fat that was too cold. As a side dish there were wilted lettuce leaves. The wine lukewarm. The friendly breakfast service won the point. This makes for a pleasant conclusion.

When out for drinks in Dartford, will generally pop in here for one. It's a good sized pub, but it always seems very quiet. The staff are nice and friendly and there always seems to be events on throughout the week.

It is a hotel with a lot of history inside. The rooms are more than correct, but being in an old building has its limitations (many stairs, corridors, low ceilings...). But the authenticity of the site makes up for these shortcomings.

We visit this pub a lot, mostly for drinks but also for brunch and dinners. The refurbishment that was done is great and the pub looks lovely. However, the management of the place feels unfriendly and a tad aggressive. The staff serving are wonderful but there is something off with the managers. We had brunch and my husband went out the front door for a smoke and one of the managers came racing across the floor really annoyed that he opened the front door. Total over reaction to a minor situation. Tonight we had dinner and decided to finish our wine outside at the front again as the moon looked amazing but being aware of not being allowed to open the front door we went the back way. Again, one of the managers came racing after us shouting you are not allowed to take glasses to the car park. I told her we were not, just walking around to the front. She then shouted bring the glasses back when you are done. We just spent over £80 at that pub and were treated like we were doing something wrong. The managers should learn how to communicate in a more professional and charming way.
