Small pub but perfectly pleasant. Quite expensive but no more than other Westminster pubs. Does take quite a while to get served when it’s busy.

A relaxed atmosphere in this local's bar. You might have to locate the bar staff before ordering as they may be chatting with some locals. I personally find that very heartwarming, especially in this area where most punters are suited after workers but this pub attracts actual members of the community. Quite small but made to feel bigger as it's a bright and airy space. Feels cool on warm days. They may not be equipped to have a huge range or provide swift service but they have a lot of soul from what I experienced. Fair pricing, too. And nice crisps. Suggested improvements would be some plants inside and more tables outside if poss. They do cask but only 1 or 2 if I remember correctly.

Bei jedem Londontrip einen Besuch wert! Ich war schon mehrmals hier: Preis-Leistung stimmt, der Service ist super. Die Küche (wenn geöffnet) ist traditionell Britisch. Wenn die Küche nicht geöffnet ht ist es kein Problem, etwas ins Pub zu bestellen. Die Getränkekarte ist riesig, auf Nachfrage darf man sich durch das Biersortiment probieren. In keinem anderen Pub in London habe ich so viele Gespräche mit Einheimischen geführt wie hier, einfach toll.

Really great find, close to Tate Britain, Westminster and transport links. Cosy atmosphere, delicious food. The server was great, but today there was a massive protest in the area, so I think there should have been most staff on to support the crowds who came in afterwards. Indian inspired lamb burger and flavoured fries were very tasty, good portion, good value for the area. I'll come back 👍🏽 (toilets clean, but downstairs so I don't know if it's accessible)

Fab food - simple and delicious - we had the Singh burgers with the Calcutta fries and side salad - great value. Also loved the relaxed atmosphere and music worked well for us!

Had the Singh chicken burger and chips it was nice decent value enjoyed it both the bar staff lady and one that took my food order were nice and as a bonus they take taste card which makes it more affordable and means I will be back to try other things on the menu I don't really drink so can't comment on that but would would recommend for the food and it looked as if others were drinking in there and enjoying it so must be good

We haven't been here for 4 years but staying in the area with family booked in here for Sunday lunch. The food was warm not hot as if it was precooked and kept warm in a bain marie, barely warm potatoes and veg and the lamb was tough, all in all mediocre at best. Not one person in our party finished their meals. There are lots of lovely reviews on Google but we honestly cannot see why after our experience.

Un lugar tranquilo para comer y beber buena cerveza. Como turista, me sentí muy tranquilo cenando aquí y pasando la noche bebiendo cerveza. Sus cervezas son muy buenas y el precio no es nada excesivo, el trato es muy amable y súper atento. Recomiendo ampliamente el lugar. No le veo ningún pero… o algo desagradable.

The best service in Millbank. Evelina is running the culture of Westminster experience. Rich beer options, nice music, cozy atmosphere. The chess board presence is a plus - loving to play/win chess with locals.

Such a cute pub located so close to the London Eye! The food was par excellence and an absolute delight on a leisurely Saturday afternoon. Do visit if you wish to taste really flavourful and well-seasoned Fish-n-chips, you will most definitely give up on the other known joints in Greater London! Chill ambience and a great collection of drinks too. Will keep coming back on my days off, thanks guys!

Had lunch there today, burger around £15 and hallomi fries around £8 and two draught cokes for £17??? Took ages for food to come as well.

Good little bar in Westminster. Found the setting quite cosy, although lack of space means it fills up really quickly with the after work crowd. Price wise, similar to others in the area - not a rip off but it's a London bar so... expect to pay a little bit more than elsewhere! They have a limited food menu which we didn't avail of, but vegetarian options were available. No music is played - would rather have something low in the background but that might not be to everyone's taste. One of the issues that's holding me back from really liking this place is limited opening hours - often closed in the evenings and weekends, perhaps due to lack of demand but a shame as I live close-by Overall: worth a visit and spending an hour or so.

We went to the Royal Oak almost by chance since we were exploring London and we got hungry, being this the only Pub opened nearby that accepted card payment. Staff was super friendly and the food was sufficient for us to go from 10 am to night without eating (We ordered a pie which comes with chips each). I was surprised when I saw the rating it has due to bad reviews from years ago. If you have the chance to go here, do so! You'll have friendly service, decent food and a space to rest from all the walking one normally do when exploring.

A good place to grab a meal and a drink in Westminster. They handled a group of 12 of us with friendliness and ease that sadly isn’t common. The outside of the pub looks traditional but the inside is funky in a good/modern way. There’s a lot to look at but it doesn’t overwhelm you or get in the way. A good selection of drinks with about 10 taps so you’ll find something you want quickly. As a relatively small venue it’s unlikely the queues will be long. Food is -as they say on the tin- traditional pub fare. It all looked pretty good and tasted ok. The sauces (ketchup and mayo) come in fancy-looking packets and added a touch of class to the experience. Not the cheapest but great for a casual bite with friends or colleagues. The tables are also big enough to eat on and the bench seating along the outside comfy with bar stools and high padded chairs.

Stylish and lively pup hidden away in the heart of Westminster. Amazing place if you’re looking for something not terribly crowded on a busy Thursday evening 😉 The hostess at the bar was awesome, friendly, and helpful. She was so lovely, offered her recommendations, a sample of Prosecco and didn’t skimp on drinks ;) Way to go!👍🏻 Definitely coming back with my mate next time!

Cheeky. Called and asked if I can use the taste-card, was told not a problem. Eaten, asked if I should present the card, was told it’s already signed in so no need. Went to pay, didn’t check the bill, walked out then realised tastecard wasn’t applied. Not cool.

Nuestra primera comida en Londres, fish and chips, era tarde, hacia 15h, quizás demasiado tarde para comer allí. Tardaron unos 20 minutos en traernos un plato combinado con merluza rebozada, patatas fritas y una salsa. El pescado olía mal, estaba en mal estado y al final sólo nos cobraron la mitad de esos platos pero me dió la sensación que la dueña sabía que lo que sirvió era incomible pero le dió igual. Consejo si coméis aquí: primero oled la comida.

Great pub if you get there early and leave before the ‘after work’ channel 4 crowd arrive. They can be quite rowdy and ruin it a little bit. Especially naomi. Dog friendly.

Gone very expensive all of a sudden

Regular customer here, staff are friendly and the food is great for a small local pub, However havent tried the rest of the menu yet but I'm sure its great. I always enjoy my time here and had no problems. Still want to bring my friends here from down south one day as well.

Looked nice! Ordered food and drinks. The draught coke and beer weren't very nice. Had a funny taste and smell. The lamb burger didn't taste fresh, left half of it. The fries were good, though not as described on the menu. We were overcharged, but the bartender changed it straight away. Best thing about the place was the staff, they were really nice

We were staying in the neighborhood around Christmas and the kitchen was closed and they were closing early. Wasn't worth the visit.

This was our very first meal in London (first time travelling to the UK) and we were excited to enjoy our first experience. Not ever having been to London before, we didn't understand that you have to order at the bar. I think it was obvious we were tourists and it was uncomfortable that the person behind the bar completely ignored us. I finally went over the bar to ask to order drinks and to ask how to order - so again - we're tourists and she was quite rude. it was an unfortunate experience for our first time. The place itself is cute and was comfortable. You can enjoy people watching as there are large windows. The washrooms are downstairs which was a little scary due to the steep stairs.The food was ok, they didn't have our first choice so ordered something different. Lots of different types of drinks.

Full of locals, cabbies and civil servants, cheap beer, friendly environment, bare interiors. Seems to change hands frequently, so good quality varies. In my experience, never great but always good value for money.

Service was awful always on her phone not paying attention to the customers,quite rude. Didn’t have avocado so had to pick other dish which was an omelette , which came out wrong as well . I didn’t bother anymore just wanted to eat and leave . You gave me bacon when I asked for veggie options , imagine if I was vegetarian . Not coming back although I would love to try all the burgers.

Found this pub via Taste Card after visiting the Tate Britain its a 15 minute stroll, but very charming interior and a good mixture of traditional pub grub and some really interesting burgers full of asian spices, veggie and chicken choices too. The toilets were very clean and the pub feels like it has been recently refurbished.

The place and hygiene out of sigh is disgusting. I live facing it A food manager Chef and inspector.

Stopped for lunch and a beer. Ended up having 3 beers. Lunch was gre a y. Mrs tried some of the Gins and loved them.

Unfortunately will not be visiting this establishment again ok staff were helpful but Food not great mushy peas served up stone cold my son in law requested burger without mayonnaise and lo and behold served up with mayo which promptly got returned and then waited another half an hour for replacement However did get a 50% discount for the burger and the service charge was waived sorry won't be visiting again

Pimlico real ale pub, with breakfast, good food and good service. The Royal Oak can be very busy after work times! Craft burgers from 8.50 GB Pounds are well worth the try and cocktails go from 8.50 or Moktails at 4.50. . Breakfasts are very good and go from 5,50 to 9,50 for a Full English Breakfast. The Classic Menu is also good going from 9.50 to Traditional Fish and Chips at 12.50.

Nous sommes retournés dans ce pub après une visite à la Tate Britain. Situé dans un coin tranquille, ce pub est très agréable et beaucoup plus lumineux depuis sa rénovation. Visiblement fréquenté par une clientèle locale d'habitués, les plats sont très bon et il est agréable d'y rester un moment.

This is a nice back street pub which sells a good range of drinks although very expensive. I didn't order or taste any of the food on offer but it smelt very nice. But I still think that charging £6.20 for a pint of Founders IPA is expensive

Was interested to see the pub after its refurb. Seemed ok as we walked in , ordered two pints which came to nearly £11! . So then we went to sit down.....what is with all the seats being extra high ??!! Feet dangling!! Is it a pub for giants???!! Not very comfortable .
