The cafe is lovely. The breakfast was delicious, very reasonably priced and good quality food. Dylan is very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back!

This cafe is a little gem hiding in plain sight in an old pub. The selection of food is very extensive and almost deceptively cheap but still of great quality. But that's on purpose as a charity backed offering that does great things for those down on their luck or in need of a helping hand. Staff were all so friendly and charming too! Highly recommended!

We stopped off for brunch & had eggs benedict & a pot of tea. Decent tea & really good eggs benedict (good sized portions too). The Royal Oak is no longer a pub & these days is run by the Emmaus charity. It has a nice community feel & children are well catered for. Prices are extremely reasonable, the quality of food is excellent & the staff (volunteers I believe) are really friendly. We'll definitely be popping in again. In case it matters to you, there aren't separate male/female toilets

I have been attending the Wednesday kids and carers group since my 16 month old Son Oakley was 3 weeks old. Such a supportive, happy and warm space. The food is absolutely amazing and such good value. The Oak go above and beyond to ensure all the parents and children are happy and looked after providing us not only a lovely safe area full of toys for our children to play but a lovely hot cup of tea to enjoy. Attending the Oak on a weekly basis is the highlight of our week.

A neat and clean dining place with friendly staff. Enjoyed breaded whitebaits with homemade tartare source and a salad with the pan fried prawn. The prawn smells tasty and the tartare source serves impressively for the breaded whitebaits. Today's experience echoed my last one with a juicy tender rump steak here. The place is definitely another gem in Ipswich I found.
