Carvery was cold,Husbands chicken burger was dry,Daughters burger was burnt,Father in law and mother in law both had stakes and said were a little dry

Firstly, from the outside the place looks a regular pub. Once inside, the setting is completely different. Your soon realise that you have stepped into a cosy and tastefully decorated Thai restaurant My wife and I went for Sunday lunch . All you can eat for £15 per person. We were shown a menu with a large variety of Thai dishes. All the food is to order and arrives promptly and hot. We chose a selection of starters and a few mains. The portions are small which is great because one can sample their menu and decide on what one likes or not. We enjoyed the Golden Bags, Thai fish cakes, spring rolls, Tom Kha Soup with fresh prawns, everything we ordered tasted fabulous and not too spicy hot either. Our favourite was the Crispy Duck 3 Taste. The staff were very friendly and responded quickly to empty plates and glasses, always ready to refill and make suggestions for us to try other dishes. The drinks were extra but for the amount we ate it was incredible value for money. We will definitely be going back to try the many other dishes we missed out on our first visit. Highly recommended.

The Royal Oak is not that welcoming from the outside but do not be put off please give this Thai restaurent a chance! The Royal Oak at the bottom of the rabbit run near Claverley is well worth a visit, the food is auhtentic, tasty and a fabulous choice, the service off the young lady is second to none, we have been on 2 seperate occasions now and tried numerous dishes to share and every one has been tasty, fresh and full of wonderful flavours not spicy (unless you order a spicey dish), the young lady has converted half the pub into the restaurant and has really made an effort to make it feel welcoming and authentic - the only area that needs to be improved is the gentleman that manages the bar as he comes over as a little rude, not intrested and cant be bothered with any small talk which is a bit of an issue in the service industry BUT the young lady makes up for this and will go the extra mile so please give this place a try and take aways are also available x

We tried the Royal Oak last night, my wife coming from Thailand was wanting something familiar. As one pulls onto the car park a banner proclaims English & Thai food. Sadly this is not true. The menu, although extensive has no English dishes on it whatsoever. The restaurant is in fact just one half of the bar set aside with tables, thus one has to accept the sort of language which comes with a pub lounge. In short if you don't like Thai food, there is n other choice. I asked for a pint of mild and got bitter, not a good start, the chicken sartay was so poor I left the saray and just ate the chicken. Sadly the entire meal was disappointing and my wife although wishing to support her own country folk agreed we would not eat there again.

Visited for the second time and so pleased we did...lovely food choices, big portions and fab customer service...you really feel valued here, and the food is amazing...would recommend to anyone who loves thai food

Very good quality authentic Thai food. The owner used to live in Thailand. Food is cooked fresh. We travel from Shrewsbury to eat here because the food is excellent. It’s also great value on a Sunday evening all you can eat. Very friendly staff. Thank you!!

Had a takeaway after all the comments we were getting from local people, and we weren’t disappointed at all. Super food and a 10% discount if you collect. This is going to be a regular venue for us now.

I've been several times in the last 12 months - and each time its better! I acquired a taste for Thai food in many holidays in Thailand - and then to my delight a Thai restaurant opens in Shropshire countryside.!! No only great food but a wonderfully warm welcome!

Driven past this place as Telford to Merry Hill road but never been in however signage saying Thai so we gave it a go..what a fantastic surprise. As reviews have said place needs a bit of updating decor wise but do not let that stop you. We will definately return. Warm friendly service, very resonable prices and most importantly,fresh authentic thai cuisine.

we live in Telford where there are restaurants galore but tonight,, after finding and eating in this place a month ago ,,we went the 20 miles to eat here because the carvery is so good ,best i have ever had anywhere ,service is great and very friendly . just short of £18 for 2 meals and 2 drinks exceptional value .. other peoples off the menu food looked great and big portions sorry cant tell you menu prices ... From what i can gather the weekends are very busy so maybe be best to phone and book in advance ... Well worth a visit

Rarely do you go to a place in it's infancy as a business. Here, if the presentation, quality, and flavours of the excellent food are any standards to go by then this must surely be successful in due course. The premises and the general overall appearance are in need of a good marketing helping hand. But don't worry. You will not be disappointed the very reasonable food is good. Your hosts Pom and David are very welcoming and helpful.

My daughter and I visited here today .... it certainly didn't look like a Thai restaurant .....just a pub serving a carvery ... meat delicious ... some of the veg was a little watery .... but on a large scale it must be difficult to get it perfect .... as everyone has different tastes ...we will return ....

Loved everything about this place,friendly efficient service,wonderful menu with a good choice of food. The carvery was beautiful with a good choice of meat and the vegetable selection was really good. Excellent place to dine

We came here for a Thai meal and we weren’t disappointed. The starters were presented beautifully and the main courses were hot and tasted lovely. Would highly recommend can’t wait to come back

Stopped for tea on our way home. The service, food and prices excellent. Husband had carvery he said the meat was so tender it melted in your mouth, Our daughter had chicken and I had fish both meals were also amazing. Would highly recommend and we will return. Thank you to all the staff this is definitely worth 5 stars.
