The Royal Hotel in North Somerset

Without doubt this is the noisiest hotel Ive ever stayed in. Unable to sleep at all, constant music, yelling, screaming glass bottles being emptied, more music, more screaming and it is relentless. I spoke to my wife in the phone, who was convinced I was actually stood outside a night club, when I was in fact in my room. Attempted to change rooms, nothing available, attempted to book another hotel but failed, so ended up sleeping in the car down the road. Horrific experience and will be demanding my money back. Avoid this place at all costs !!!

Room was great, breakfast tasty and room service was fantastic, staff friendly and happy to help they even found us a launderette. The rooms was spotless every day cleaners were fantastic. Great location and parking brilliant. To the front you have the sea and the back you have the town. Bed was comfy didn't mind giving extra pillows and duvet. Shower fantastic and relaxing and the bath was lovely. Price was superb will be staying again. 2 nights turned into 5 we liked it that much.

Awesome value for money, feature rooms. Excellent staff, bend over backwards to help. Definitely worthwhile for the visit. Was only there for one night but was made to feel at home! Absolutely appreciated!

We were lucky enough to come to a fantastic salsa event at this hotel and can honestly say we had a lovely stay. The staff throughout were just great at helping us and so friendly. We're coming back as it was a great weekend.

Great location right in middle of High St area and very nice building, in fact Westons front is adorned with some nice buildings and appeared to keep the trasher seaside shops hidden. Free parking at hotel which is huge plus, plenty of eateries and bars around

Estayed in Prince Williams room. Beautiful room. Could do with a bit of extra dusting, but still very good. Mirrored furniture added to the extra luxury. Ironing boards, a hair dryer, and a little fridge were a bonus. Minutes from the beach, pubs and clubs

When I was there, it was the weekend of the beach race, and the hotel were full of syncretism welcome riders and their families and the holiday makers enjoying Weston Super Mare for what it is. Cracking location on the front and right in the edge of town with the shops and bars. Staff were very nice and friendly and couldn't fault the place.

Popped in for a pint with brothers, had to ask for a clean glass on a couple of them then the 2 after that the barmaid picked up was quite dirty so hence we only had 1 pint and left the hotel

Amazing staff, room was small dated noisy and bed was really uncomfortable, breakfast fabulous... unfortunately it's very dated and restaurant smelt of smoked fish...staff can't do enough deserve a medal go above and beyond so apologizing for sleepless night... would return but only in Seaview room as so so so noisy at the back...

The hotel it's self is ok , our room was very nice , BUT and it is a big but , I never got to sleep until just gone 3 AM , we had a room on the front and across the road was a pub which has a licence until 2 am , the music , screaming , shouting , arguing, fighting and taxi's beeping there horns, it was a nightmare, finally got to sleep but got woken up again by the road sweepers and the bin men . We were there for a wedding and only stayed the one night thank goodness and we will not be returning , I know they can't do much about the pub across the road , but the sad point to it all is we went on to there website and complained but we have been totaly ignored , no reply what so ever , and it wasn't a cheep room , if you ever go to the hotel please be mindfull and do not get a room at the front of the hotel 😔

We stayed at the Royal for 2 nights and were very impressed. The rooms are large and very comfortable beds were amazing. Car parking in the shopping centre car park at £10 for 24 hour period. Food was absolutely amazing and reasonably priced. Breakfast our table was reserved for our 2 night stay and help yourself to a 7 items of choice plus fruit juices and cereals. Staff were extremely helpful and couldnt do enough for you. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return 👌

Hardly disabled friendly - think only one supposedly accessible room on an upper floor. The lift is right through the dining area!! Menu basic - wouldn't want to dine in more that one night although we had the impression that the menu did change.

We had my daughters Disney themed wedding here and exceptional doesn’t even come close to the experience we had. Everything about the day was fantastic. Kerry the coordinator was so brilliant and really made the whole thing a day to remember. Every single member of staff we came in contact with were great. The food too was fabulous. Nothing was too much for them. The care and exceptional service is clearly an integral ethos build into the hotel. Thank you all

Cost effective and comfortable. Could do with a make over, and not impressed by charge for late check out. But overall just the job for a short stay.

We had our Disney themed wedding here on 31/08/24 and exceptional is not enough to describe it! Kerry was an amazing coordinator, took time to understand our needs and really got invested in our wedding. The staff on duty that day were there if you needed anyone but never felt like they were in the way or intruding. The food was absolutely delicious and all our wedding guests were more than impressed with the service, quality and quantity. Breakfast the morning after was no different, the variety of pastries were to die for. We would recommend the hotel for weddings to anyone! Our grandparents have even booked to stay here now for Christmas and we will definitely be back for food at least!

Went here for our Annual RBL Seminar for Poppie Appeal .. but buffet provided was excellent. Very pleasant staff very clean.

I do like this hotel. Some of the rooms need new beds, as they are very uncomfortable, the mattresses have seen better days. Do not book a room above VAULTS, end of the hotel ! it's very noisy, hence above a bar, and a karaoke bar opposite It is very clean. I don't recommend breakfast, it is pre cooked, luke warm, and overcooked. The staff is very friendly, The hotel is very central, excellent location Free parking

Lovely relaxing g short break.. Pity the main restaurant wasn't open for dinner. The staff are courteous, friendly and extremely helpful.

We celebrated my granddaughter 10th birthday weekend there along with her friend, mum & myself, what a brilliant.fun time with had ,nothing too much trouble, lovely staff, a beautiful well run hotel, lovely food, beautiful rooms, we can't thank the staff enough,just keep doing what you are doing. 😘

A well presented, clean and comfortable hotel situated on the edge of the town centre and only a short walk from the beach. Warm, comfortable rooms with a good shower & clean bathroom. A reasonably priced menu with a good selection of food that caters for most. Large car park - be sure to register your vehicle at reception though to avoid a ticket. I stayed on a Sunday night, which was quiet, but the advertisement in the lobby suggested entertainment on a Saturday. Friendly and helpful staff.

Went for a friend's birthday, bottomless brunch. Lovely area and service! Good drinks, amazing portion size. I got the fish and chips. The fish was massive and tasted lovely. Would recommend.

We only popped into The Royal for food & drinks. It was great value & food was good too.

Room needed a makeover as well as a new carpet because it was a bit worn in places. Two nights was ok.

Returned to the Royal once again. Love the place and the location. Will be back.

Nice hotel but in need of some TLC, mattress was very old and uncomfortable, staff were lovely and great location apart from screaming women at kick out time (front of hotel rooms).
