The Royal George Old Shotton in County Durham

Food good - £35 Thursday steak night for 2 steaks and two drinks. Rib eye steak excellent, sirloin steak good, chips average, salad and presentation very poor. Service good and quick - unfortunately all I will remember is that the food was served on a plate that was too small and this spoilt our experience. Plate was an inbetween size, half way between a dinner plate and a side plate. Either way it was very annoying and all I will remember in 6 months time is that we were served on baby plates.

We often come here for food, the menu is extensive, plenty of choice, always cooked perfectly, the staff are just brilliant, so very helpful and friendly, always prepared to talk and advise in choosing your meal.

I have recently had bariatric surgery so explained this to the lady serving us and asked if I could order a child’s meal as could only eat a little bit. I was told I could not do this. It wasn’t about the price but the wastage. If we hadn’t already ordered our drinks o would have left there and then. Very disappointing that they would not accommodate my preference. I have added photos of what I got and what I left, such a waste

Food is very nice but disappointed with the limited vegetarian choices. Will return on a regular basis when there are more vegetarian options.

Visited on Monday for friends birthday , lovely room pleasant atmosphere , waitresses very pleasant and friendly , drink and food orders taken promptly and food delivered nice and hot . Podría haber sido mucho mejor. El personal era muy agradable, educado y hablador pero aparentemente ajenos a tiempo o nuestro grupo tratando de agarrar su atención. Y aclaro que empezar hecho estaban listos para el evento principal. El lugar no era quizás un cuarto lleno y ocupado una espera de 30 minutos para los platos principales empujando la credibilidad. Durante todo decepción por desgracia. Por consiguiente, Luke placas cálido con comida al borde de ser demasiado frío. Mala calidad de la carne, pero más como medio supuestamente bien hecho. Más decepcionado en el colgando kebab. Surf y turf había pedido y las olas, langostinos, eran encantadores. Sin embargo, la carne estaba quemado. Voy a tomar parte de la culpa por no solicitar una rara a medio raros, pero sirve briquetas de carbón es algo que no debería estar haciendo la chef. Yo y mis clientes trataron de primera clase, con refrescos gratis wifi, en una de sus salas de reuniones de arriba. El personal era atento y discreto, el ambiente era elegante y propicio para nuestro encuentro. Recomiendo el lugar, y sin duda regresaremos.

Disfrutamos de una excelente comida en el pub pueblo inteligente. El menú era extenso y parecía estar muy buena relación calidad-precio. Elegimos en el menú principal, que nos ofrecieron dos platos principales por 14 libras y los dos estábamos satisfechos con las opciones. El servicio era amable y eficiente, y sin duda recomiendo este pub para el almuerzo!

Me encanta ser absolutamente este lugar! Lugar perfecto para una noche! Vienen aquí regularmente ya que está justo en la puerta. La comida es fuera de este mundo. Hacen ofertas fantásticas durante el fin de semana y durante una hora de la cena. El servicio es estándar, y podría ser un poco más rápido, pero el minúsculo siempre ha sido taaan ocupado cuando hemos sido y son siempre tan amable. Sin duda merece la pena probarlo!

We have visited the Royal George several times and the Three Horse Shoes owned by the same company on a number of occasions. Enjoyed every visit. Don't hesitate to eat here.

Fuimos el pasado jueves por la noche de carne. Gran relación calidad-precio y ninguno de nosotros se puede quejar de la comida. Las setas como entrante de ajo fue genial fue la salsa de ajo macizos de hongos. bistec Los filetes y patatas fritas también estaban muy bien.

As a group we've gone regularly for years food and service has always been excellent but over a period of time we've noticed the service has gone back some the tables never seem to be completely set even when it's not that busy, and some of the time you wait a length of time to place order but then as soon as you've finished meal they want you to place a sweet order, found staff to have no wine info for recommendations as told I don't drink it !!!!. Think there's too much menus choice and since the refurb you're struggling to see it if you sit along back wall due to dimmed lighting the wooden chairs are absolutely terrible to sit on you can't get comfortable and are bad for posture you leave with aching bones - so if you go take a cushion. Don't think we'll be returning for our next night out.

Así, nos decepcionó en otro establecimiento, ya que había cerrado y no te molesta para informarnos, llamamos a la Royal George y les dijo de nuestro predicamento, nos preguntaron cuando nos gustaría hacer la reserva, la respuesta, ahora ya estamos sentados fuera de los otros restaurante y está cerrado! '. La respuesta fue "sí, vienen aquí y le encontrar una mesa". Era una mesa para ocho miembros de la familia, para celebrar el cumpleaños de tres!

Fuimos como un grupo grande de 24, y sólo llamó reservar media hora antes de llegar, y nos pareció que el personal era de lo más servicial. Comencé con morcilla en salsa de uso que era magnífica. He seguido este con carne asada, que estaba bien preparada y una capucha de tamaño de las porciones. Terminé la comida con queso, que estaba muy sabroso.

Visitamos aquí el sábado 4 de febrero para una fiesta de cumpleaños para mi cuñada. No sabía que tenían habitaciones de arriba para grupos más grandes. Nos dieron una de las habitaciones y me quedé agradablemente sorprendido con la calidad de la habitación, el servicio y la comida. Después de haber estado en el pub comercio yo en el pasado y tenía pubs de nivel similar, me gusta decir lo que es, y me alegra decir a todo el grupo estaba contento (10).
