The Royal Fish Bar in Birmingham

El 13 de diciembre pedí una comida de kebab de cordero por casi £ 13. La carne de kebab fue cocinada sobre brasas en un pincho. Lamentablemente la carne no se cocinó correctamente y la mayoría de las piezas eran muy duros y masticables y no se podía comer. Malgasto de dinero.

Volvería, pero como madre con tres hijos, debe haber más ofertas de comida, ya que es un poco caro.

Bien se veía bien desde el exterior. Se detiene allí. La legislación sobre alimentos e higiene establece con seguridad que cuando se trata de alimentos, usted cubre su propia ropa con un delantal de alguna descripción. Pude ver comida colgando de su ropa. Lo más desagradable. . Nada en absoluto en los 3 miembros del personal o incluso en una redecilla para el cabello, aunque uno tenía puesto un sombrero. No es una idea de guante. Casi ninguna comida preparada y los 2 miembros más jóvenes del personal no parecían tener idea de lo que estaban haciendo. El piso estaba tan grasiento detrás del mostrador que los pies de las chicas no se quedaron quietos mientras cortaba la carne de kebab. La comida estaba bien, pero no lo mejor. No se apresuraría a volver con seguridad. .

Paso por delante de otros dos chippys para obtener mis fichas de aquí. Sin duda lo mejor de la zona, no hay papilla empapada aquí! El personal es amable, gran selección, precios razonables. También tienen un bar / comida para llevar del desierto adjunto que también es muy sabroso.

Sólo un poco sofisticado, pero los kebabs que hacen en un pan Nan son lo que vale la pena. hay mejores tiendas de chips en el área

Revisé los horarios de apertura como lo hice la vez anterior y pedí un pedido para la entrega. El tipo me colgó para que puedan meterse fichas. No deberían querer más comercio. Volveremos a Sophies.

The fish I ordered was freshly cooked on order. The chips were not greasy and tasted great. The service was excellent and would highly recommend them.

The food was nice however it was slightly overpriced and it was a nightmare trying to park. I would definitely avoid in rush hour traffic!

Went to Royal fish bar 4 time in 5 weeks first 2 times fish and chips ware to high quality. 3 time chicken curry and lamb doner was rubish and chip not bad average. Fenced some fish and went there wished I had gone some where else the chips were rubish fish was awful. Chicken I got for the cats was rock hard it felt it had been in heat for 3 days. The whole lot went in the bin which was waste of money. I thought it had improved from the days of Queens fish bar. It's Same old same. I say avoid this fish bar and keep your money in your packet

Just poped in today Wednesday and they were doing the red chips , the same ones you get in the Black Country they were delicious the best in brum

Had been meaning to visit this place for a long time but parking not the easiest. Finally took the plunge tonight,with family, and so glad I did. The chips were amazing, fresh tasty and not greasy. The fish: don't think I've seen one as good even in Padstow! Beautiful fresh with a light batter. Chicken kebab, one of the nicest I've had for a long time and curry sauce: again fresh and tasty. I wouldn't usually quite a review on a chip shop but this deserves it. Will definitely be back.

Been living in China so long, what I really missed was a saveloy, been here twice already and I love the saveloys Good place

I came back....this time with 8 French friends who I was determined to introduce to the delights of traditional Fish and Chips. I cannot really add much to my previous review as it was still a good experience. I was a bit surprised how quiet it was on a Saturday evening but in fact that suited us as we wanted to be seated. Nothing was too much trouble, the manager even ran up the road to get some Tartare Sauce for us! Don't know when I'll be back....but I will!

As an ex-pat Brit living in France there are some things that I do miss. So when on my occasional trips back to the UK I try to take the opportunity to catch up on them. One of the things I miss is good freshly cooked fish and chips so I was pleased that last week when staying in Longbridge there appeared to be a relatively new (part of the major post British Leyland redevelopment) Fish and Chip Shop close to my Hotel. I was with a Dutch friend and was keen to introduce him to this very British dish. However experience has taught me that Fish and Chip Shops can vary as much as any other food premises. First impressions were good, the exterior was clean and it had a bright frontage showing the traditional fish bar on one side and a seating area for probably about 20 people on the other. The welcome we received was good and friendly and the staff seemed glad to see us. In addition to Fish and Chips they serve a variety of other fast food, burgers, kebabs, chicken, pies etc. We ordered two large portions of Cod & Chips to eat in. The order was called through to the kitchen so I was pleased that it was going to be freshly cooked for us. After a short wait during which time the counter staff chatted to us between serving other customers our meals arrived. We sat down at a clean table and really enjoyed our meal. The batter was crisp and light and the fish cooked to perfection. I have a healthy appetite but even I could not finish all the chips. There is a unisex/disabled toilet that was clean and tidy. The Royal Fish Bar is open every day lunchtimes and evenings except for Sunday when it is only open in the evening. I am returning to Longbridge in a few weeks with a group of French friends and will probably introduce them to this great British dish there!
