Very good indeed very friendly accommodating staff fantastic atmosphere and decore what a building fabulous stain glass windows and lovely character. Food very good and wholesome; Tiptop and friendly landlord/

We visited for some lunch on a Saturday approx 1pm. Pub wasn’t particularly busy and got a seat ok. Ordered some basic side plates and waited for 30 mins without them coming. I asked the young girl who served me and she vacantly told me she didn’t know and would ask. 5 mins later, two of the three plates arrived - one was wrong. We told the same girl and she asked what we’d ordered. Then transpired the wrong plate was for another table. No problem - mistakes happen. Then she disappears and brings back a tiny plate containing 4 small haloumi fries (no chilli jam as advertised). Fine for a three year old, but not suitable for adults. I asked her where the nachos were that we’d ordered. She replies with ‘we’ve run out’. I asked why that wasn’t communicated when we ordered. Her response was ‘this is so stressful’. She asks me to come to the bar and walks off. I go to the bar and no staff are there…..for 5 mins. Many customers waiting at this point. In the end I put the measly plate of child fries back on the bar and wait for another staff member to ask for a refund, which she did eventually. This whole episode was down to a lack of training/willingness for one staff member to do their job. We won’t be going back there again.

Called in for a drink while visiting the jewellery quarter with my wife. A lovely pub with friendly staff. Will call again next time we are in the area.

A nice pub on the centre of the Jewllery Quarter with the classic pub style decoration inside. Friendly staff and a clean ambient. The food is great and the price is ok for the size of the plate. There are burgers and sandwichs available and other smaller dishes like chips and salads. I miss the old Fish and Chips on the menu tough. The drink selection is great with things for all tastes. It's a great place to go out at night in the area.

We had the nicest time. Popped in fir a drink with our children whilst on a city break in the jewellery Quarter. We had the kindest lady serving us, kids got Halloween masks and husband given a beaver town t-shirt. Great advice given for our trip. It's an absolutely stunning pub outside and particularly inside, beautiful stainglass windows, tiled walls and high ceilings. We would love to go again

Banging menu, banging service, best food in Jewellery Quater and amazing service from Tim. Spicy Meditarranean Salad is to die for! All they need is a sunday menu now :P

Soooo Im a happy member of the team but also an even happier customer. I have worked here for coming up 9 years and to say it has come leaps and bounds since under new management by Kate is an understatement. Heineken has gave us the tools to grow this old boozer back into the beauty she really is! The menu caters for all if I fancy playing the quiz with my friends, taking my daughter for dinner or to get slaughtered on margaritas. You May say I’m biased but far from it my friends I say it how I see it! Having a bad day go and see Tim! Need a comforting go and see Kate! Need to get coaxed into buying tequila at any point of the day come and see heather !

Popped into the rose villa for a quick lunch was very impressed with the range of items on the menu. Had a banging burger with a side of skin on fries and the worlds crispiest onion rings yum yum Quick and smiley service Perfect all round guys keep up the good work!

Ordered food most of the stuff was already gone, ordered fish, wrong item came, told manager, was informed no more fish, it was only 1.30, manager very rude didn't want to help. My experience of this bar was very disappointing and won't go there again.

My lunch at the Rose Villa Tavern on Friday 4th August was top notch with fantastic service. Following an incident at the door the previous week the manager invited my sister and I for lunch. The food was delicious and cooked by the manager, herself. We had the mango coated prawns and the squid for starters. Both piping hot and beautifully cooked. Very tasty. We followed with a steak with fries and a burger with onion rings and fries. My steak was lovely and came medium rare as requested. My sister enjoyed her burger and had a Belgium waffle with ice cream and strawberries for desert. We had a lovely time as the staff treated us so well. The manager even gave me a lovely bunch of flowers. I would like to thank Kate, the manager, for her superb hospitality and we will definitely be returning for more food. The prices are very reasonable too.

I host sip and paint events with events organiser Pop Up Painting and we regularly use the upstairs function room at Rose Villa Tavern, which has been and continues to be a pleasure and one of our favourite host venues! The staff are friendly, accomodating and supportive of the events we run and our event guests always love the vibe there! I definitely recommend visiting this venue as a guest just for a drink/food and as a business!

Calle din whilst having a look round the jewellery quarter. Had a couple of drinks and took advantage of the 5 small plates for £22. Everything was cooked.to perfection and the staff were fantastic. The atmosphere was relaxing and didn't feel hurried in any way. Will definitely be coming back here😁

Había estado aquí para comer y beber, el tipo grande con el pelo corto y gafas se acercó a nosotros y dijo que estaría con nosotros en un minuto y que si podíamos soportarlo. La Taberna Rosa Villa es un pub fantástico en el barrio de las joyas de Birmingham que se encuentra en un fantástico edificio victoriano catalogado de grado II. Con un interior soberbio que tiene baldosas de pared a piso y ventanas de vidrio grabado y candelabros de asta y muchos otros accesorios y características interesantes en todo este increíble interior de pubs. Un pub excelente con una gran variedad de cervezas artesanales y de barril y un menú de cócteles excelente. Este es un pub que, en mi opinión, es imprescindible en el barrio de las joyas. Después de visitar algunos pubs y bares excelentes en esta área, fuimos a este pub después de que dimos nuestros detalles de seguimiento y rastreo.Un pub excelente con un excelente personal que fue amable y tomó nuestro pedido de unos vasos de sidra de frutas de la cervecería Strongebow Se sirvió una sidra excelente Frío y a buen precio. visitamos hoy después de un año más o menos lejos de la Rose Villa. Las cosas han cambiado. . . . el menú en su mayoría es diferente al menú de hamburguesas y alitas de antes. El servicio fue muy amable y el personal detrás de la barra fue servicial y muy atento. Esta fue una buena noticia ya que este lugar necesita algo de personalidad. Es un pub grande y siempre solía estar muy ocupado, espero que vuelva a eso.Uno del personal del bar, Hope, fue muy servicial y nos hizo sentir como si deberíamos volver. Fue bueno verlo. Sería bueno que en algún momento pudieras volver al menú anterior. :)

Cogió un anillo y le apeteció un sándwich. Entré y vi los códigos QR en cada mesa para que la aplicación los ordenara. ¿Se tomó el tiempo de registrarse y no pudo hacerlo funcionar? !Así que fui al bar para hacer un pedido, la chica que nos atendió parecía estar mirándonos como si tuviera 2 cabezas, también nos dijo "oh, sí, la aplicación aún no está activa", finalmente tomó el pedido, sirvió las bebidas y se fue tomar mi dinero y decir "oh, lo siento, olvidé que no hacemos comida entre las 3 y las 5"? ? ?¡Estás en el barrio de las joyas justo al lado de Brum! ! ¿Por qué tener los códigos QR sobre la mesa, cuando la aplicación no funciona y no estás comiendo? !Además, cuando salimos, una mesa tenía una porción de totopos con queso en su mesa.

Popped into the pub by chance whilst shopping in the Jewellery Quarter, had a really nice lunch, the staff were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble, all covid hygiene rules were applied but it didn't impact us at all.

I visited as I had heard the pub is dog friendly. My Maltese X was very happy to be welcomed into the pub. He was even given a cup full of gravy biscuits. Food was great to.

We were very hungry and we just wanted to eat some chicken wings and drink some beer. We ordered a big portion of chicken wings (16 pieces), two small size fried potatoes and some nachos for 2 people. Based on previous experiences we expected that we were able to eat all of them, but chicken wings aren’t as small as in other restaurants. We stayed more than 2 hours in there and we left the Rose Villa Tavern absolutely satisfied (and on a full of stomach).

Went here with a group of friends after a tour of Key Hill and Warstone cemeteries and was pleasantly surprised. I was expecting a youngster hang out but found it suitable for all ages. There is a limited amount of choices on offer but all were satisfied with the quality although the chips were a little salty. Would I go again yes.

Was greeted pleasantly by the bar staff for a visit over the holiday period. They have a superb selection of gin - many of which I tried today. Got a good recommendation from Kane to try the deaths door gin and tonic - was really nice and well made. Would definitely come again.

Where to start, everything is sticky tables, bar and toilets the place needs a good clean. Then the food it’s the worst such poor quality and taste awful. Would stay away from this place. No wonder is got a zero on EHO dirty dirty place.

What a better way to feel the Christmas spirit than a walk around the Jewellery quarter and stopping at this lovely pub just as the twilight was reflecting through the stained glass windows. The atmosphere really makes you feel like Christmas came early.

Not only the venue is incredibly beautiful reminding me of a church, it's also filled with extremely professional and friendly staff who never had an issue with my requests nor my tipsy personality! The food was lovely and served promptly!

A wonderful place to visit. My partner and I enjoyed a lovely evening with with our dog in this quintessentially Georgian building. The burgers we ordered arrived quickly and were delicious. The bar staff were very friendly, professional and did a great job of accomodating us despite how busy it was. All in all, outstanding service coupled with a great atmosphere will definitely ensure we'll be visiting again. Top marks from me, my partner & Benji.

Recientemente contratamos la sala de actos de arriba en el Jewellery Quarter para nuestra fiesta de Navidad y fue genial, el personal fue muy servicial, DJ organizó un gran espectáculo y la noche fue inolvidable, ¡aunque hubo algunos dolores de cabeza esta mañana!

Since reopening last month, the RV is cleaner and no longer has bad smells. All new staff but they seem indifferent, distracted and slow. Shame this place cant get it all together at once!

Have regularly visited RVT when been in Jewellery Quarter and noticed a deterioration in service. Menu reduced, real ales limited. But won't be returning after last visit.

Have been coming here for years and noticed a deterioration in service and atmosphere. Nearly an hour wait for average food. Staff did apologise and offer free drinks but my experience had already been ruined. Won't be recommending or visiting again

I will never return to this place. Used to be really good but no money being spent and food is awful. Beers taste off and mice literally run around the place. Toilets have feces on the floor and whole pub smells of sewage.

I see the Rose Villa has been closed due to mice infestation. I go there several times a month. I suppose this can happen to any pub or restaurant, so I hope they take it as a wake up call, and that they get the problem sorted and open it back up ASAP!

I’m a local , the place is run down and smells like a subway toilet .... mice running everywhere. The cellar keeps flooding and toilets back up and over flow with human waste . The owner won’t spend any money to repair the underground pipes that have collapsed?? Fact !! It’s a decent beautiful bar , alas needs sorting with a good manager who cares about the custom and staff . I have photos of mice in the bar and and floating human waste on the floor in toilets , only last week . Mid September 2019 . Shocking , I wish ide phone environment health myself .It’s been done now and closed . How can the owner have so much disrespect for the public who pay good money ??? He had no interest in the industry, just a money man .

Myself and my partner came here for food and drink after a day of shopping. MASSIVE mistake! We sat waiting for food and ended up heaving to the smell of sewage! We finally got our food AFTER waiting forever for it to look down and find MICE running around!!! I have never been so disgusted to go into a food place like I was at the Rose Villa! We was thinking about booking a 65th after all the good reviews I’d read previously but I won’t be returning never mind spending my hard earned money in a dive like this! When I say it was the worst pub I’ve ever been too, I’m not joking! If I could give it minus stars I would!! Even one star is too good!!!

I enquired about private function room twice and they said room was free and took the booking.

Held a suprise 30th birthday party for a family member and it did not disappoint. Venue was lovely and spacious. Bar staff very very friendly and polite. Everyone including the birthday girl had a wonderful night and will most certainly be using this function room again. One happy customer and an even happier birthday girl.

I came to eat lunch at this place, and first impressions were great! Lovely old decor, it’s makes you feel really relaxed. Looking forward to enjoying a nice meal as I was very hungry. The menu sounded great!! I ordered the ‘Crispy Taco Salad’ which was £7.00, alongside this I ordered the Halloumi with it. The Add on cheese was amazing! When I received the salad it looked okay. Whereas I was very disappointed when I came to eat it. My lunch was ruined because the rocket wasn’t even washed. It was thrown on the plate with no real care! The worst part about it was the canned sweet corn! I’m not what you call a fussy eater whereas, after receiving this it was different. They also made a mistake with the order, after someone misheard one of the dishes. Can’t wait for my homemade dinner at home. I think this place is more for drinking as a family or as a couple.

First visit and absolutely fell in love with the place. Opted for the back room which was quieter on a busy Saturday afternoon. Nice cocktails, good range of drinks and food was fresh with a good variety.

Real ales back on really good form especially the Wainwright’s so an easy recommendation for a place to drink in the Jewellery Quarter.

The food was NOWHERE near as good as described on the menu. The nachos and cheese was missing one thing.... cheese! The nachos were far from authentic and tasted more like the casing of a samosa. The "Buffalo" wings were soggy and had a meagre drizzle of buffalo sauce and cheap blue cheese sauce and the Korean wings basically tasted like someone accidentally spilled too much soy sauce over the soggy wings. Disgusting.

Excited by what seemed like an interesting vegetarian menu - however the beets burger tasted mouldy, the chips were undercooked and the nachos weren’t ( they were tortillas instead) the vegetarian chilli was tasteless and overall very greasy.. great shame as the service was good, staff friendly and a beautiful venue albeit slightly grubby and tables sticky

I hired the function room for my wife's 30th birthday, Jake the manager was incredibly easy to deal with during the booking process and he and Ricky were fantastically friendly and helpful during the event itself. The highlight was definitely goading the two of them into competing to set who could make the best espresso martini!
