Go on, 'ave a parmo Get the Bermondsey parmo. I return here just for these and the Only Fools and Horses piped into the Gents'. Guys behind the bar and friendly too.

Nice enough boozer, barman was a bit grumpy, but we weren't there long enough to know if it was just a one off. The beer selection though is a bit of a let down, clearly catering for the fizzy lager crew (there was one real ale pump, but it had Doom Bar on it, so pretty dull). Shame, as the general vibe of the place was nice.

Love this pub, go there lots! Always a good vibe, far less London than lots of other local pubs. Food is good, good selection of beers etc, staff always friendly. I do miss table service though ha ha.

Fun place for a pint. Serves food & has tables for groups to sit in. London Bridge tube stop. Close to the Shard, waterfront & shopping market.

Nice boozer off the beaten track at the back of London Bridge station. Nice layout and decor , great vibe and nice clientele, prompt bar service , and even a reasonable enough price point for pints given the location and current climate. However all kinda ruined by the quality of the beer. The Guinness was really really poor and there is no excuse for that in this day in age. Left my group after a couple of pints because of it. Shame

Surreal experience, we had two rounds of drinks and then the manager refused to serve us more for being drunk. The lady serving us seemed confused why he had banned us. Don't know if he confused us with someone else maybe but made us feel very unwelcome

A bit expensive, but a nice place to have a drink

As a pub it is really nice. However being Boro lads and hearing somewhere in central(ish) London does a parmo we were buzzing. Only to be served an overcooked, dry bit of chicken with a slice of cheese put on top and we had the pleasure of paying £16 for it!? No garlic sauce either. Don't bother getting your hopes up, you'll be disappointed, besides manjaros on brick lane has opened up now so just go there for a proper parmo. Would probably come back for a drink if I was in the area cause like I said, it was a nice pub to drink in.

Rudest and most baffling experience in a pub. We visit the rose quite frequently however yesterday we were frostily refused a second pint. When we asked the barman why, he indicated a tea light containing a match which had been on our table and suggested we had been playing with matches… we had not however the barman’s mind was made up and we were shown the door. I remain confused and am sorry to say that one entitled and power brazen barman has lost the rose three happy punters

Very cosy traditional pub with reasonable pub food and ales and festive mulled wine...a nice buzz to the place!

Young brunette server was rude and showed us zero warmth the entire time we were there eating. I get it, she wanted to be doing other things with her Sunday, but it was really noticeable by all of us and soured the experience. The Caesar salad was inedible - absolutely drenched in dressing with sodden lettuce floating in it like a soup! Server didn’t come and ask how everything was, so when she came to clear the plates away at the end we mentioned it and showed her the soupy salad and she just said “OK.” Nothing offered.

We arrive in later then had supper no rost dinner but the food was ok but the boy that served us could not have been nicer looking forward to go back

It sells beer, you hear voices while you go to the toilet (not sure if that's me) not as pretentious as other pubs in the area

the rose has often been a stop off for a lunch time / post work pint, but i recently went down for a client lunch and tried the parmo. absolutely sensational food - random thing to have on the menu but i was a big fan. chicken schnitzel covered in cheese / bechamel and even chorizo. spotted they have poutine on the menu too, which i'll be getting next time

We came across the rose pub by accident on our visit to London Bridge the other day. And what a beautiful pub it is, A unique mix of old and contemporary art pieces to be found there. The pub itself is highly maintained ,cleanliness seems to be a top priority at this pub and much appreciated. The flooring is beautiful throughout parkque and highly polished. Once again we were very impressed with the service, And the politeness of the staff, All in all a beautifully maintained pub. We will certainly be going back for a pint the next time we're in the area.

Decent food for lunch on a Thursday. Good selection of beers. All our food though came out at very different times. Also I was asked whether I wanted to change my order as it was running really late. No money taken off the bill or even a suggestion mentioned to reduce the tip. Not a great experience, not sure would go back tbh, plenty of other good options in the area

Negronis from the barrel are excellent, really rich full flavoured taste.

We booked for lunch today and the food was amazing! I had one of the Parmos and it was so tasty and a great portion! The service was also incredible. Really friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend!

Very decent pub, friendly staff, lovely food. We wanted to take our American friends for pub grub and they delivered. Had fish and chips but sadly they don't do bangers and mash. Cocktails were pricey but unique and tasty.

Not much more to say other then a nice pub ,as some who can't drink there do have a couple of decent AF beers options which I was surprised with , all in all definitely go in there again if I'm in the area

OK pub near London Bridge Station. Only one cask beer on handpump when I last visited. A few outside tables some of them covered. Very expensive - £6.00 for an OK pint of Timothy Taylor's Landlord.

Had a lovely meal there. Served quickly and the food was delicious.

Can't fault the place. Street fighter for free, Food is affordable and very good. The chips are the best I've had in a very long time. Proper British pub feel with a geeky modern feel about it. Lovely staff and I love the atmosphere here. Definitely coming again

Great roast dinner. Not quite hot enough but nevertheless very tasty! Loved the stuffing too. Best roast I've had in a long time! Of course the brownie was good too, my mum's favourite! Staff are super friendly and attentive. We'll definitely come more often. Thanks

This place was amazing. Proper London boozer with typical pub grub, but even better. A stones throw from the shard but tucked behind in the back streets. It was busy as it was a Friday night but we reserved a table, good job we did. The food was amazing, did I say that already. I had the Parmo and it was huge, piping hot. My son had the pie of the day, which was chicken and chorizo and it was soo tasty. Can't fault this place and would recommend to anyone not wanting to go to your typical restaurant chain which london is flooded with.

Run down and neglected feel. Chips were disgusting, only edible if extremely hungover.

Popped in for a drink on the way home this evening. The barman was so rude. A friend ordered a wine and a glass of water and when she misheard him he really aggressively replied and eye rolled, we then ordered two brandies and they came with noticeably different pour levels and when we questioned it were told in a horrible tone “I can pour between them but it’s just a mispour - or you can do it yourself”. The rest of the team were lovely but this guy was so rude and unwelcoming it was so uncomfortable, like he didn’t want customers in the pub. A shame because we’ve had other nice experiences in the pub

Great little pub with character. Staff tried very hard to ensure that a dietary allergy was catered for. Bit disappointed with the desert menu, if you don't like chocolate brownies, you're done for! Would happily go back again.

Drinks do not come cheap here. The atmosphere is lovely, the staff are fantastic but the drinks are relatively pricey!

We stopped in for happy hour and it was great. Very busy around 6pm but the staff was friendly and the drinks were good. Everyone was happy.

Our third visit to The Rose and again everything was excellent. Very tasty food, fish and chips, burger and a chicken dish. Good service and in my opinion good value for money. Will certainly return again

Dropped in for late lunch and a few pints on a Saturday with friends. Looks as thing they’ve turned a fairly old school pub into a slightly quirky bar and it worked for us. It’s away from the busy areas around the market, so is a relief from the crowds and worth the short walk. Kirin on tap isn’t super common and that was a welcome drop. Fairly unusual modern bar food menu, so worth checking if that’s to your preference. I went for one of the burgers which was excellent. Friend had a parmo which was topped with cheese and Wotsit dust - sounds ridiculous but it worked. There’s a single desert option - waffle and ice cream - and that was surprisingly decent. The decor and menu is definitely slightly off kilter. Probably not for everyone but the burger and beer were great for us and we will definitely return.

Popped in for a quick pint today. Was friendly and cheery from the word go. The staff were great and made us feel at home. This is what a proper pub should be like. There’s nothing like this up in our way in Harrow anymore all gone now. I’d be here every day if we lived locally, but am going to make an effort to come again nonetheless. Thank You

Best chicken parmo I had in London, yummy, well presented and big size. Not to mention they have 4 chicken parmo options in their menu, if you love this dish like I do. Staff is friendly and they have a good selection of beers. Bonus: there is a Street Fighter 2 arcade, which is free to play 🤠

I don’t want to give a bad rating, because I like this pub in general, but I ate there for the first time last night and the food was awful. I had the macaroni cheese and it tasted like it came from a tin, it barely tasted of cheese and the texture of the sauce was very odd, quite clawing, sticky on the roof of my mouth. It came with two slices of garlic bread that could have come from a value supermarket frozen garlic baguette. So by all means stop at this pub for a few pints, but don’t go for a meal.

Love this place. A really traditional Victorian London pub with lots of the original fixtures and fittings. Good prices, great cocktails and the BEST chicken Parma ever!!!! I love the original Bermondsey Parma with chorizo but they now do a truffle one which is equally as good! They aren’t for anyone with small appetites! They are HUGE!!!!

We were visiting London and staying at an airbnb nearby. We picked up cocktails from here every night. Their Mai Tais and Manhattans are really good. Boozy and hit the right spot.

What a disappointment! I used to work in the area and loved the Rose for its unique character and atmosphere. The pub is now rather average looking with basic pub furniture and booths. Some of the old decor was still there, but the place didn’t look well looked after and was in fact a little messy. We didn’t order food, but our drinks were a tad expensive side for somewhere average and a bit run down. If you knew and loved the old Rose, I would suggest you don’t go back. It was so sad to see it become an average place.

We were looking for a quick meal and a beer between touring locations. This place worked well. I can imagine it's quite the place in the evening when locals descend. The beer and cider were as expected and the pie and fries were good pub food. Would visit again.

Lovely unpretentious pub near London Bridge - like your local! Service is friendly and food is excellent value for money - we went for the Sunday roast and it was really tasty and generous. Quick tip: try and book one of the booths as round the corner the tables are tiny and near the outside space which can be a bit chilly in the winter and is also the smoking area. Recommended and we will return!

I used to like this pub but a pint of Peroni has gone up from £6.40 a few weeks ago to £6.70. It's not worth that price. Shame they've got too greedy.
