A real pleasant surprise as we were passing the pub and saw it did Sunday roast so popped in and great roast had with excellent service first from George who found a table that was quieter for me being a hearing aids wearer so did not want too much back ground noise and from Jess who took our orders and served us excellent Sunday lunch thanks

I visited for the first time after work today and being a contractor I was in (clean) site clothing. The ladies who served me couldn't have been more standoffish although I was my usual polite self yet welcomed those in contemporary fashion with open arms. Even when I returned my glass to the bar before leaving and thanking them I was met with silence. Am I to understand that those of us who wear work clothes are not welcome in your pub? Regards Just a guy wanting to chill for 30.

Very good cocktails. Surprising selection of high quality spirits. It is a little noisy, but loooove the garden at the rear where you can smoke!!!! Genius

This is my local but I will never be returning after I realised they add service charge when taking drinks orders from the outdoor seating area. When you are already charging over £7 a pint this is an absolute liberty and not disclosed when ordering.

This is usually my favourite place to take all my hinge dates, but not anymore! Went there during summer, and ordered potatoes to the table. But what did I encounter? Three unseasoned potatoes for £6? What a joke. Anyways. I went a couple nights ago and asked for gluten free options for beer, and when the bartender asked which one I wanted, I asked for her opinion, into which she turned around to her manager or supervisor and asked. I work in hospitality and can understand that some nights are tiring, however, I felt such a cold and heartless response: “Well a lager is different from an IPA isn’t it”. Question mark? I am a very spiritual person and can pick up on people’s energy very quickly and today I am feeling extremely eerie, which I can only assume came from picking up on this supervisor’s energy. Me personally, I would recommend using incenses to cleanse her and her space. I do regret not saying anything about the service when I was there, but next time I will just ask if she is okay and needs to book a tarot reading, because the energy was not giving. You may not take this review too seriously, fair enough, but please fix the attitude before serving me and my dates again, as I will be back x

Incredible Sunday roast. Get the chefs roast with a bit of every, it's worth it. Best bloody Mary in town and the perfect sticky toffee pud to finish

Beautiful pub in New Cross, and the largest I've been to in the area. As we arrived there was a quiz on (Monday night). Very large bar area so lots of different drinks to choose from. I had an Amstel but my friends had a beer called Sunshine, which was a bit too meadowy for my taste, but if you like an IPA it would be up your street. A very large garden area out the back which had heaters and even little booths you could sit in! Seems like a really good place to socialise

Ordered 2 fish and chips and the fish tasted awful, like they were out of date or badly refrigerated. Felt queasy all evening. Never going back. Someone should have a look at their hygiene practices.

Huge beer garden with heaters and nice indoors too. Staff aren’t particularly friendly though so it doesn’t have a local vibe.

There was a Christmas menu on the website. I booked a table for Christmas lunch, and asked specifically for Christmas lunch at the note. When I arrived I was told they don't have a Christmas menu, even though it is on their website

I had a spectacular Sunday roast with the family here. We were served by George, who was incredibly attentive.

Lovely atmosphere, really nicely put together pub. Good range of beer on offer, and the roast was great - Elliott, my server, could not have been more helpful.

Excelente lugar para una noche con amigos. Tiendo a organizar una fiesta anual de fin de año de Navidad y cumpleaños para todos y esta vez decidí probar The Rose Pub & Kitchen. Recientemente nos habíamos mudado cerca, así que fue una puñalada en la oscuridad para nosotros! Nuestras expectativas fueron superadas. Tuvimos la sala Rose para el evento que era tan acogedor, combinado con el menú de Navidad que era a) gran relación calidad-precio, ser) sabroso como cualquier cosa y c) la cantidad justa de comida para marearnos durante la noche. El personal era increíblemente atento, comunicativo y nos hizo sentir tan bienvenidos durante toda la noche. En general, cero faltas y volvería el 100%. ¡Volveremos en el año nuevo, estoy seguro! Jessica 5 stars, cheese board 0 star. Food was lovely but having to pay a premium for a cheese board that contained cheddar, blue cheese and a bunch of grapes was a liberty!

Organizando la fiesta de Navidad de nuestra organización, el lugar volvió a ofrecer una magnífica experiencia culinaria que dejó a los invitados ya anticipando la celebración del próximo año. La comida comenzó con una generosa porción de parfait de hígado de pollo, acompañado de mermelada de cebolla roja, mantequilla de trufa y masa madre tostada. El parfait era tan abundante que requería algún uso estratégico de la masa madre para garantizar que nada de ella se desperdiciara, un "problema" raro y bienvenido para empezar. Si bien hubo una breve pausa antes de la llegada del plato principal, valió la pena esperar. La pechuga de pavo asado, relleno de arándanos, cerdos en mantas, arce - verduras de raíz asadas, patatas asadas crujientes y vibrantes verduras de invierno hechas para una imagen - plato festivo perfecto. Cada elemento fue cocinado a la perfección, con el pavo tierno y jugoso, y los lados ricos en sabor estacional. Un brindis de celebración con champán Veuve Clicquot se sumó a la sensación de alegría y reflexión de la ocasión, con un breve discurso del propietario destacando la calidez y el espíritu comunitario de la noche. Ninguna comida festiva estaría completa sin pudín de Navidad, y La Rosa no decepcionó. Combinado con crema de brandy sedoso, fue la máxima indulgencia invernal. En este punto, sin embargo, incluso los comensales más entusiastas admitieron la derrota ya que el gran volumen de comida deliciosa pasó factura. Una vez más, The Rose Pub and Kitchen ha puesto el listón alto para las cenas festivas.
