We’re visiting from North Wales and this is by far, the best Sunday Lunch we’ve ever had. May have to drive the 200miles every weekend now! Fantastic service. Great vibe too.

We came back to the Rose after a long time and oh boy not good. We had to wait a long time to get our roast and when we finally got it, it was disappointing to say the least. I had a mixed roast with chicken, pork belly and beef. The pork belly had hardly any meat but a big slap of fat, the beef was bland together with the chicken.the potatoes were a disaster and the veggies undercooked. A waste of money..

I’ve been pestered for a review but regardless thank you to holly for a truly memorable time at this London pub. I did order some chicken tenders and they did come without cutlery so I did use my hands and felt dirty for doing so, but everyone makes mistakes.

Great place for Sunday lunch great service get there early as it gets busy

Chose this for my 50th party. I haven't been to this pub in over a decade but all looked good when we booked. Communication was excellent, easy to book and very quick responses when we had questions. Everything was set up when we arrived, with two managers, sorry I did get their names, making sure we were all set up. We had our own server, Jessica who was amazing. She was always around to help my guests and everyone was impressed by the speed of service. The food was also excellent and they were very flexible about the time it was served. The only negative was the £1600 minimum spend was a bit steep, and as I had a few last minute drops out, it ended up costing me more than I'd hoped but it was a great night, and I would totally book here again, great venue!

I really like this pub because I usually come here when I’m really hungover and all the staff are also really hungover, therefore it makes me feel better about my life. Also the roast dinners are unreal.

The food was actually decent, but since there was a piece of metal in it, which is extremely careless and dangerous, I have to give it 1 star.

Ordered a roast on Deliveroo! Was such an Amazing roast dinner, it was restaurant quality as a delivery which is unheard of! Almost too much food and all great quality! Would strongly recommend! Will be visiting in person next time!

Elliot was exceptionally warm, smiley , welcoming, and attentive, making us feel completely at ease. He consistently checked in to see if we needed anything and ensured we were well taken care of. I would highly recommend this place—the service was truly superb.

Even on a quietish Monday, atmosphere was great. Welcomed greatly by bar staff, spent a while in the garden and then sat down inside, before our drink had finished Elliot came up to us and asked us if we wanted another which was a great surprise, which made us stay. Amazing service.

Jessica was very friendly and attentive. When the moment came for my last sip of beer, she appeared in the nick of time ready to take our order. When it came to taking the food order, unfortunately my partner had got caught up at the pub and was running late, via catching the wrong train, and therefore wasn’t here to give her order. Jessica took the initial orders and then returned only five minutes later to take ours and ensure the entire meal was delivered seamlessly. Fantastic food, delightful atmosphere, just a shame there’s no Forest Road Brewing Co beer on tap.

Service was good and friendly. The Sunday roast was just okay. The roast vegetable tasted like it had been there for a while.

Food was OK and we got a decent glass of wine. Perfectly acceptable for a spontaneous bite.

I really enjoyed my visit here last week- lots of people enjoying the amazing weather, watching a steaming of the Olympics, drinking together. I came here with friends and we had a lovely evening. The food was excellent, we all ordered different dishes but they were all really yummy and presented nicely. The food that the Rose offer is quite varied and caters to different diets. It’s bit more on the expensive side of things but not too bad - and the lovely energy of the place is worth it! The service wasn’t terrible but perhaps a bit disorganised - it was busy so that makes sense. It was a great pub to hang out in and relax.

I came here to celebrate my son’s 45 birthday on Christmas Eve 8 years ago. We were sitting in the top room and initially we were having a wonderful time. However things took a turn for the worse when I gifted my son a bottle of beer from my trip to the Netherlands. He swiftly opened it, excited to try it and had a few sips from the bottle. It was at this point that a man who said he was the manager came out from behind a curtain where he had been watching us the whole time, confiscated the beer and kicked my son and myself out of the pub, leaving my much confused and dismayed wife and daughter to sit without us. As I was consoling my son, who was crying, outside the establishment, the same man jumped over the garden fence and screamed accusations that we had “called up the pub and called [him] mean names”, and then jumped back over the fence again. In the end I was told by staff that the man we interacted with was in fact not the manager, and a disgruntled tourist, and so we finished our drinks and went home

Incredible service and beautiful Sunday Roasts. Love this place. Always have. Really happy to see it’s being looked after and the staff really make an effort to interact with you. Beautiful back room dining area, fairy lights and screens should you want to watch any events.
