Absolutely love Browns of Brockley! Their coffee is hands down the best I’ve had in London—rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed every time. The croissants are a real treat too, flaky, buttery, and fresh. The atmosphere is always welcoming, and the staff go above and beyond to make every visit special. If you’re a coffee lover or just looking for a perfect pastry to start your day, this is the spot! Highly recommended!

The first thing you notice the grouping of like-minded warm people. My first cappuccino with an extra shot under the froth was the creamy texture, without the slightest hint of bitterness. And a residing flavour just past the middle of the pallet. Two coffees on Never Enough. And very naughty pastries.

Truly excellent coffee made by well trained, really friendly staff. Always made to feel welcome in the fantastic atmosphere. Food offerings are also extremely good, especially the bagels, lemon filled bun pastry and cinnamon bun and they also stock some very delicious Sour dough. Sadly I no longer live in the area and only get to visit London once a month but I make a beeline to Browns for a Sunday continental breakfast as they serve the best and most consistent flat white in town, in fact I am yet to find anywhere that can top them and I have tried a lot of places across the city/country and did I mention how good the pastries are? They stock great coffee beans (mainly square mile) and coffee making bits and pieces including papers for drippers. The cafe is small and intimate which is part of its charm but they also have plenty of outside seating which is great for those with families, dogs and cyclists and is perfect for relaxing and watching the lovely people of Brockley go by. A true gem and well worth travelling for

Browns is one of my favourite coffee shops in London. They don’t charge for extra shots; the service is great and the people that work there are friendly. The coffee is very good, always on point, whether it’s a filter; americano; flat white etc etc. The Pastries are very good quality too, sadly I am gluten intolerant so don’t eat pastries now. Contacted Browns of Brockley about hiring their coffee van for our wedding later this year. Hi I bought two coffees this morning from the van in Victoria park (Sunday) spent £7.60 I used to rate this van highly, maybe they have had a change of staff, who knows, but never again will we buy our coffee from them. After our group drank our coffees we asked for a little drop of water for our little dog? only to be told ‘no you can get it over the bridge from a tap’ what a rude jobs-worth, he obviously is not a dog owner and he obviously does not like dogs, let’s just hope he gets turned down when he needs a little water on a hot day. Just to make it clear, yes we could have walked over the bridge but our little dog was exhausted. He gave away free oat milk for a lady to give her baby but no water for the dog, maybe next time I’ll ask for free oat milk😂. Just to answer the guy from browns of Brockley. Firstly there is no need for your rude sarcasm. One knows that one does not need oat milk to wash there hands. Secondly in future we know where to get water from in the future, and we certainly know where NOT to buy coffee. There are plenty of vans and coffee places within the park. What a shame you treat people so rudely.

This place has reached iconic status for me. They serve the best coffee you'll find in South London (and its consistently very good), and like many others have said, the pastries (which they've recently started making themselves) are to die for! The staff are mainly very friendly and it is clear that feedback is valued by the owners. Their bagels are really interesting. My wife and I don't agree on how good they are. The fillings are great, but the bagels themselves have an overbaked crispy base (which I actually really like) and can be a little bitter. 'Purists' might find fault with this. Personally, I think there's still a little bit of work to be done to perfect their home made bagels but I know they'll get there! Well done to the team!

Firstly, I am writing a review of Browns of Brockley not as a customer, but as a local resident to my local park [Blythe Hill Fields SE23]. Browns of Brockley are co-sponsors to the 5th September 2021 Blythe Hill Fields 'Festival' organised by the park volunteer group called the Friends of Blythe Hill Fields. This group has been in existence since 2003 and the annual Festival is supposed to be a fundraiser event to raise funds for ongoing park improvements. The delayed Festival for 2021 has no specified park improvement fund raising objective and this follows on from many years of the same from the Friends group. I will gladly amend/remove my post if Browns of Brockley can outline to all what specified, scheduled and deliverable park improvement its sponsorship is intended to deliver for those who use Blythe Hill Fields for the other 364 days and 19 hours of the year. Blythe Hill Fields is a public park. Whilst private sponsorship for park events may have its place, the sponsorship should at least stretch further than advertising as a 'legacy' issue for a public park. I look forward to hearing back from you.

I felt like a pretentious treat, so Browns of Brockley came to mind as a place to indulge in coffee and maybe a vegan sweet (Broca next door is 100 times better for vegans just saying) I waited for a long long time to be paid any attention too, when I eventually was served the man behind the desk explained there was a kerfuffle going on outside that was the reason for the wait, he then continued to describe the goings on in peculiar manner, I wont repeat what was said...... but lets just say he blatantly associated knife crime to skin colour and uncomfortably told me he presumed a innocent member of the public was involved in the scuffle based on the fact he was black - all in all a odd conversation which lead me to believe he was a little bit racist .... gross I know ... the coffe was ok but the service was terrible and you know what instead of the awkwardness of potentially racist members of staff and ponsey coffee snobs im going to go back to the better coffee shop next door , a cafe who are openly inclusive, support BLM and are queer friendly !! i cannot adivse you enough to skip this bougie over priced establishment - and go to broca, a colourful and all round better place, :) :)

Me encanta este lugar y creo que es un gran activo para Forest Hill. La última noche, ya que estaba ocupada, que mencionó, hizo que el servicio y el tiempo de espera para la comida lenta. We ordered a burger and two sides for takeaway. The food was awful—the bun was over-toasted, making it crumbly and dry, the burger patty was tough, and the salad inside was wilted and old. The chips were okay, but nothing special. On top of all of this the system crashed meaning we waited for about 40mins for sub-par food. What was even more off-putting than the food was a certain curly-haired waiter. On both occasions we’ve visited the restaurant, he’s made my partner uncomfortable by staring unnecessarily. This time, I saw it myself. While we were waiting for our order, he stood about two feet away and, for a good minute or two, intensely stared at my partner. If you want good food without feeling creeped out, I’d suggest eating somewhere else!
