Ok we live a 15 minute drive away ,so decided to give breakfast a try ,went in to restaurant, roof was leaking onto our table , but no problem we sat on another table ,looked at menu and was a bit disappointed with the no substitution rule on breakfast (my wife has allergies ) so excluded what she could not eat ,but was not asked if they could put an extra sausage or bacon on instead.my breakfast arrived in a timely manor and piping hot unfortunately swimming in juice and fat so I quickly eat beans and strained off the goop on my plate into the bean dish , I then used 4 napkins to clean the plate , I then realised hidden under the bacon was tinned tomatoes! Really ? Then cut into mushrooms obviously deep fried cooked the inside dripping with water and fat , I then thought I’ll try a sausage ,awful cheap and tasteless onto the hash brown..tasteless then tried bacon and eggs they were good but for £10.75 I expected more than 1.5 scraggy bits of bacon and strangely this b/ fast came with no toast and no option on menu to buy toast on its own !but my wife’s small b/fast came with toast ! Needless to say we won’t be back

Just had a turkey bap with all the trimmings and chips as a takeaway It was superb, really well cooked and beautifully presented.. They deserve top marks for initiative in these difficult times. In normal times we pop in for a coffee and millionaires shortbread just to die for, all home prepared.

We have recently discovered this place and we were both pleasantly surprised by how nice the food was and how nice it was to eat in such a lovely setting. We have since become regulars after ditching our previous haunt after they hiked the restaurant prices (particularly the breakfast) recently up to an unreasonable degree.

My husband and I have visit here 3 times now for the greatest breakfast. Tracey and her team are polite, professional and nothing is too much trouble. The cafe is bright, clean and lots of variety. Well worth a visit with the added extra of the garden centre too.

Not sure why Trip Advisor have two entries for this cafe but just in case my review does not get seen I will post in here too. As we know we are in this crazy pandemic and this place has been our saving grace. You guys go above and beyond. The food is lovely and the cakes delicious. It must be so hard to make a success at this worrying time, but you guys are winning and service is always served with a smile and a happy welcome. We are definitely regulars now and it’s lovely being set with an independent garden centre too. Thank you for going that extra mile ❤️ Ps also lovely deli and gifts to buy in there too. Emily’s products are great. You really are working hard with local businesses and producers.

After living in the area for years we finally visited the Den. Tea and a panini was ordered by both of use. We were warned of a wait, but it didn't take too long. Good quality ingredients and tasty. Well worth a visit

We were staying in Upton and visited the Old Anchor pub, where we enjoyed puddings that had been made at this establishment. On leaving the pub we decided to find the shop in order to buy puddings to take home. Delicious homemade steamed puddings are available to buy from the shop or online. The puddings are all made on site using traditional methods and are big enough for 2 people to share. Currently they are £3.60 each or three for £10. We bought 3 of course and our only difficulty was choosing from the huge range available. They freeze well so no need to eat them all at once!

Nice place to meet for drinks, wide selection of craft ales. Bar appears to be too small for the demand and this results in long queue
