Rose and Crown is my favourite pub in tooting!

Nice evening out with a friend. Definitely recommend. Friendly atmosphere and great service.

Great pizza, don't bother with the nachos

Came here for the AJ Vs Dubois boxing on the big screen with friends. They recommend the pizza here but I came here for gin and tonic and the atmosphere of the event. It's not difficult to get to as there buses and North line train stop within a short walking distance. There's a good selection of drinks options from beers, spirits, wines and cocktails. It was a great atmosphere here on the night, although it did attract some uni students who played WWE wrestling outside and they got moved on.

Having hosted my partners 30th birthday in the private hire section of the pub, I can’t recommend the team at the Rose and Crown enough! Everyone was super helpful arranging the area how we wanted it and helping put up decorations and, our pre- ordered food was brought out on time fresh from the kitchen. It’s a great local with friendly staff, delicious pizza with a nice area for hosting which I would highly recommend!

A group of us came here for our 30 year school reunion last night and we all had a great night. Food was lovely and staff very friendly. We will be returning.

In many ways, a good pub, it is a great pity that they could not manage offer a good draught bitter even at £6 a pint when I visited recently. However, a couple of courteous messages from the staff suggests that I was unlucky on that occasion.

Quality quality quality pizza and lovely atmosphere come night. Should you be there for food or drinks it’s rather hard to complain about anything.

Really friendly bartenders. They very kindly even held the front door open for my pram.

Local Pub! Friendly Staff, very good home made pizzas with fresh ingredients. Highly recommend if you are in the area. We will be back for sure.

Staff are just excellent! So lovely, friendly and warm - service is just impeccable. Doesn’t hurt that the pizzas are also amazing - fresh, tasty and choice is brill.

There's a lovely warmth at this local every time I go. I recently got a vegan pizza to takeaway which honestly had one of the best flavour combos I've tasted in a vegan pizza. I was a bit sad that the pizza was lukewarm by the time I got it, and with only 4 bits of courgette on it... But I'd give them another chance and get it again (maybe order in) because it was so tasty!

Saturday afternoon, sun shining, walk across the common and found this little gem. Just a few pints, but great atmosphere, lots of TV for football. Service was terrific, couldn't fault. Would make an amazing local if I didn't live so far away.

Aesthetically a nice place so decided to give it a try. Not worth the visit. Menu unreasonably priced for what is offered. Ordered food to our table which took 50 minutes to arrive, only to be delivered to the wrong table (a large group that arrived 20 minutes after us) along with all of their food. When we fetched our food back it was cold. The blonde waitress with bangs wasn't the most welcome or apologetic. I had to go find someone in order to get salt/ pepper/ condiments. Im not one to complain so we paid and left. Disappointing.

Celebrated my birthday with the Rose and Crown last Saturday and they were amazing! Super kind, friendly and welcoming! They even have a fantastic alcohol free style spirit that is a ginger lovers dream! Thank you to the whole team!

The iconic English pub! Hugeeee beer list and they had some of the best craft beer selection. Also the pizza was DELICIOUS. And lastly the service, especially our girl Liv, was fantastic. Highly recommend this spot for a fun, relaxed, sports TV watching hang.

Came and visited with my friends and the bar was thriving and very busy and everyone looked like they were having a good time. As the bar was very busy one of the kitchen staff a girl wearing a pink apron helped by bringing the food out that we ordered which was delicious and she was very friendly as well. The atmosphere was one of the best i have been to in London and would defiantly recommend.

Honestly, great pub and staff for a quiet pint or the start of a night out. The curly haired bar tender made my day and lights up any room she walks in. I think I might be in love but guess that's irrelevant for this review.

Kicked out by the assistant manager for having a tiny dog in a bag at the weekend despite it saying it's a dog friendly pub online, with photos of dogs sat next to pizzas on the website. Beyond rude woman who completely ruined my friends birthday. From the reaction of her staff I suspect she is not a nice person to work for and this sort of behaviour is not uncommon.

Used to be good but they’ve gone off the boil. Too much sport on the tv, wine not very good, not very good beers. Needs a revamp. Sorry guys. Nice pizza though.

Decent pub with excellent pizza. I was disappointed by the advertised "Duane's cocktail of the week - Espresso Martini" being, unknowingly at order, on tap from a keg. It tasted disgusting and was £9! Although replaced, a little begrudgingly, with an excellent Negroni this is still very sharp marketing imo. Staff were, ignoring the begrudging gentleman, absolutely lovely.

Absolutely love this pub. Only moved to the area recently but delighted to have this as the local. Pizzas are the best and my dog always gets some treats - she tries to lead me in the door every time we walk past! Super friendly and helpful staff.

Came in for a few drinks late on a Friday night, good selection of beers and a good choice of wines too. Bottle of red was very well priced at £22 and very quaffable. Cruzcampo on draft which you see a lot these days but is a good lager. Staff are very friendly and didn't rush us out the door after last orders.

Ideally situated near Tooting Bec Common, this pub offers a range of foods, but most of all, Pizzas. The pub seems to change its character during the day. During the day it offers food to pizza-loving children, but in the evening you can enjoy sports on a number of large screens.

Wonderful pub. It’s our favourite. Pizza Mondays are great, top choice beers, really fantastic team and atmosphere. Always a nice crowd of people there. Very welcoming and would fully recommend a visit.

A great local pub! Lots of places to sit, inside and out, a very well stocked bar with tonnes of awesome taps. Food looked great too, was showing the football. Came on the bank holiday and it was packed, which you love to see. Great drinks, good price, awesome atmosphere, what isn’t to love

Had a great experience here on Saturday, went with my family of 14 after an event, we had a lovely area reserved, the staff were attentive and the food came out quickly for some very hungry children. The pizza's were delicious!

Lovely pub right on the corner of the common. Dog friendly, good selection on tap and sports on the screens. What more do you need?

I absolutely love this pub: it’s a little worn around the edges (worn with love, I think, though could do with a revamp of furniture and paint), but it’s homely and local. The staff are incredible and the beer selection is great. Wine choice is okay. Super dog and family friendly. Only let down is the food, especially pizza. It’s super thin but often overcooked zero crust, and the dough is comparatively tasteless. Chicken wings tasted reheated, toasties sounded nice but only available during the week in the daytime, plus loads of veggie subs on pizza even if you wanted bacon. If I could transport the Wheatsheaf pizzas (same price or cheaper) it’d make the perfect pub. I go for drinks and atmosphere, as I don’t think it’s a destination for food as much as I want it to be which is a real shame.

Best bar in Tooting, great management and friendly staff with positive attitude, that’s the best thing about this place,,, they’ve got tv screens everywhere, we can request and watch anything we want … I’ve always had great experience in this bar and I cannot wait to go back there soon 😊

A great local pub. Right on the edge of the common. Great for a drink and to watch sports. Rugby, football, cricket, etc. Lively trivia night. Very dog friendly. Amazing staff. AFC Wimbledon supporters [update] but friendly to everyone.

Top pub. Lots of screens for those keen on sports - for big games it gets real busy. Lovely selection of craft beers at the bar with nice staff to serve it to you. Pizza isn't half bad either!

Good local with plenty of space

Popped into the rose and crown Tuesday afternoon I have got to say Its not a place i would rush back to, i ordered a toasted cheese and red onion sandwich Not very nice And it almost looked like the sandwich was cut in half with a hacksaw And just thrown on the plate, Would of been nice to have a serviette served with the sandwich aswell, Also the place felt soulless Wanted to have a nice experience with the view of returning as my work takes me near the Rose and crown But as previously mentioned Could do so much better in many areas.

🚇 Tooting Bec 🍺 £5.80 Estrella ❤️ A fantastic SW17 local. . The Rose & Crown is located in a residential area on the edge of Tooting Common. The nearest tube is Tooting Bec which is a five minute walk away. . This pub was refurbished around six years ago as the pub looked tired and in need of some life. The dark green exterior with a bit foliage here and there has made this pub an inviting place to visit. . The decor here is traditional with light walls, olive green panels and wood floors. At the centre of this pub is the servery with tap list above. There is plenty of seating in this medium sized pub, there are poser tables near the servery and low level tables a chairs around the edges of the bar. At the back of the pub is a snug beer garden complete with chesterfield sofa, out front is additional seating if you want to watch the local comings and goings. . The beer line up here is impressive, this pub has an excellent range of local London and British brews plus the usual keg stalwarts to wet your whistle. As this was pub two of my crawl I played it safe and went for an Estrella, it was a nice pint and cost under six quid. The food menu is served up by @flatboyspizza , like the beer there is a good selection, most pizzas cost around twelve quid. . I arrived around 1pm to watch the second half of the Liverpool v Chelsea game, the pub was packed which was great to see. I loved the atmosphere here, it had a proper local and welcoming feel. The punters were a mix of lads in to watch the game, friends having a lunchtime catch up and amongst the crowd was a woman having a large glass of red wine enjoying a good book. The staff were excellent, they immediately acknowledged my presence at the bar, served me in no time at all and they all had glowing smiles, I really felt welcome. . The @rosecrownsw17 is a brilliant boozer offering a great selection of beers, food and warm hospitality. My local pub and a lovely warm atmosphere. Decent priced pints - plentiful football and extremely friendly staff. They kindly gave me a bowl of water and a cup of treats for my dog.

Great pub! We've been before - but spent about 6 hours here yesterday so feel very equipped to give it a lovely review. Loads of screens so wherever you end up sat - you can see the sport. Lots of choice of quality beers on tap, great pizza that came out in excellent time AND not sure people always know they're there... but the Happy Endings ice cream sandwiches are not to be missed. It doesn't hurt that we won the pub quiz, so we'll be back super soon to spend our £50 bar tab! Thanks Rose & Crown!

Great Pizzas and Nice atmosphere

We were a family of 6 one child and had food and drinks here. Spent several hours and were served with a smile and the staff could not have done any more! The pizzas, garlic bread, nachos and chips all hot and delicious! The drinks were nice and cold! The atmosphere was festive and we will definitely be going back for celebrations again. Thank you all at the rose and crown, tooting. Merry Christmas!

Went there last night with my family and just had to write to say thank you! Delicious food, great table and above all fabulous team!! My little boy (5) was truly spoilt by the staff... nacho and icecream overdose but who cares when it's Christmas Eve!! Thank you so much again!!

The pizzas are £7 on a Monday which is a great deal! A pint costs £5.30 which is standard for a London Pub. Great atmosphere and music - would return
