Quite simply our favourite place in Swanage to spend a few hours, watching the view , listening to the sea, creating memories and with Molly and her great team. The food and drink are first class and the atmosphere is unbearable

I had a really lovely time up here, amazing food menu, I had the venison burger which was out of this world. Service was attentive. Great selection of cocktails to enjoy - the mojito was amazing. Stunning location and had a wonderful time.

Stunning views with fantastic food and drink with excellent friendly service. Visited on Tuesday 17th September which was a gorgeous sunny warm day. Had crab linguine which was fantastic and my wife had salt and pepper squid with salad and fries which was equally fantastic. Two large glasses of pinot grigio and stunning views. Instead of a pudding we both had cocktails of frozen lemonchillo and vodka which were yummy. Would definitely recommend and will return on our visit next year.

I really cannot understand some of the negative reviews which Gee White's delightful alfresco seafood restaurant on Swanage seafront has been getting recently, as in no way do they relate to my personal experience of having lunch there on a busy Saturday afternoon in early September. There was a spare seat in the rooftop Terrace Bar, which commands extensive views across Bournemouth Bay to the distant Isle of Wight, so I settled down to enjoy a reasonably-priced (and very tasty) three-course meal with a 250ml glass of zingy Sauvignon Blanc wine (GBP 10:70) to wash it down. Table service from the team of young, smartly-dressed waitresses was attentive, prompt and friendly. My Starter was a dish of Red Peppers stuffed with Cream Cheese (GBP 3.75) which went very well indeed with a bottle of locally-produced Craft Cider (GBP 6:00) made by the Purbeck Cider Company from locally-grown apples, just up the road in Studland. For my Main Course I opted for a plate of pan-fried Scallops with Skinny Fries and a Seasonal Salad, which set me back a very reasonable (these days!) GBP 17. The food was cooked to perfection and the portion sizes were more than reasonable. My Dessert comprised a bowl of Chocolate Posset (GBP 6:50) which, once again, was absolutely delicious. So, all told, I paid GBP 43:95 for a meal which I could not fault in any way, whilst enjoying the most amazing panoramic views across Swanage Bay. Prior to the Covid-19 Pan(ic)demic I'd patronised Gee White's Roof Terrace and over the intervening period it seemed that the establishment's high standards had been well-maintained. I'll definitely go back for more in 2025 when, yet again, I make my annual pilgrimage to the Swanage Steam Railway! One slight caveat - as Gee White's doesn't have any in-house toilets you have to use the public conveniences a two-minute walk along the Promenade!

I have reviewed The Roof Terrace' four times over the past six years, each time because of new ownership. It's the must visit restuarant for any trip to Swanage. The food now is the best it has ever been, now matching the views that surround this very special restaurant. We just love it . . .

This is always a highlight of our trips to swanage. Drinks, food & atmosphere is always good. We bring our dog too and there is always a bowl of fresh water for her. The food is not to be missed.

We popped in for coffee and tea. And ended up having cocktails and lunch as well. Staff were great!! And they had plenty in to make sure everyone was happy and served quickly. Food was amazing. We watch our lunch being cooked and prepared. And the view from the roof top over the bay was amazing.

Probably the crispiest batter I have ever tasted. Chips good too. Fish portion small for the price. £9.90 with chips. Very busy so had to wait 10 minutes. Staff could do with smiling .

We're not local, just climbing and paddling along the south coast. After a long day on the sea, we decided to treat ourselves to fish and chips. The chips were golden and how chips should be. Phil was happy that he got to eat haddock, I went for cod. Both our meals were respectful portions. The staff are excellent: the girl on the till noticed that we had been overcharged, so gave us £4 back. We didn't realise, so thank you for your honesty x
