I continue to love this business. Its just so honest. Food is good, reasonably priced, you always know what you are going to get and local beers at super reasonable prices. Perhaps the best part of this place is the slick service, plenty of people behind the bar and a lady who goes around each and every table asking if everything is ok. She seems to `know all the people in there and enjoys interacting with the older punters. More like a social club than a pub. Really impressive all round, even the men's toilet is off the scale. Large and there is even a full length mirror in there. How many pubs have that?!

The Romany Rye, a Wetherspoon hotel, consistently impresses with its fantastic selection of drinks and food. The interior is spotless, and the food is probably the best presented and cooked of any Wetherspoon I've visited. The large space inside is welcoming, and the friendly staff add to the great experience. Plus, there's a beer garden for when you want to enjoy your drink outdoors. Highly recommended!

Had 2 pints and they asked for my ID first time but never did for the others fantastic service and drinks

Can't fault the food and the price is unbeatable. Not a great selection of ales, but most visits it's been good.

This is my second stay at this hotel. All good except for breakfast. On 3 consecutive mornings breakfast was cold.

Enjoyed a 2 night stay at this hotel. The staff were exceptional, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

Good value, some rooms looking slight tired now but perfect if you need to be central to the area. For example house hunting.

Amazing atmosphere and lovely scenery food is good too

I am reviewing this as pub/restaurant as I didn't stay there. It was our first visit and we were pleasantly surprised. Lots of seating. Clean. Excellent staff - first time in a Wetherspoons we have been asked if everything was ok. We were there on Thursday Curry night which is excellent value for money. Top marks!

Ordered over an hour ago still no food even a separate drinks order came to my table asked for my food and still nothing after 20 mins bit of a joke I get the foods cheap but this is taking the piss even for cheap food

Didnt stay at the hotel, but the pub satisfied my craving for a juicy cheeseburger very quickly. Plenty of tables on a Sunday evening. Also plenty of tables for a Sunday breakfast. Not much parking outside but there are free car parks in the town.

We have just been there for a birthday celebration for my son & 6 year old Grandson and would just like to praise the staff there especially Sarah who sat and played on the floor with my very active Grandson . One member cleared 2 tables nearby as 10 of us and food & service was quick and good but Sarah went over & beyond by making my Grandson feel so special . Thank you 😊

It's an okay place to visit. The atmosphere is decent, and the food and drinks are satisfactory for the price. However, the cleanliness could definitely be improved. It's a good spot if you're looking for a casual outing, but don't expect anything too fancy... Breakfast is good tho 😋

Nice atmosphere, good menu choice

Well talk about getting kicked out of weatherspoons because of there no kids after 9 rule which i appreciate but when we had food on the table and my mums order arrived late after they messed it up!! The manager come outside to apologize and for me and my daughter to come back in but it was too late guess the upside was getting a free double rum and a can of lemonade out of them as an apology… I love a good old spoons but my mum is adamant she won’t be returning!!

Food was great, so easy the service but as there were 2 disabled people in the group of friends it was impossible to park outside.

Came in for breakfast only. Always consistent with Spoons food which is no bad thing. Big breakfast and latte ideal start to the day. Staff hard working as pub was busy with footy fans for play offs in Norwich, but everything ran smoothly.

Best Wetherspoons I've been in. Has old world charm

Typical Wetherspoons, cheap and tasty food. Just don't go in expecting too much and you won't be disappointed.

Good Friday breakfast very busy. The coffee machine was a 20 minute queue only 1 working. All due to the bank Holiday. The staff did as good as they could under the circumstances.

The first visit to this very busy and popular weatherspoons and it didn't disappoint. It's a really big place but plenty of staff working really hard to deliver good service all round. We had lunch here, two drinks, and a couple of sides, all for less than £30! How can other places compete with that. We were very happy with everything. Would definitely visit again.

Small portions on the fry ups but the curry looked plentiful.

Business lunch with client. I was pleasantly surprised. Excellent value regarding both the meal and pint! A pint of Doom Bar as of 2024 was only £2.60! It was well cellered. The food served was hot on arrival at our table, well presented, and very reasonably priced. The barman and waitresses serving our food were also attentive and polite. I have historically given a Weatherspoons pub a miss. However, I will certainly be back to this one. To everyone working there, well done!

First time here and had a lovely cooked breakfast,all the staff were friendly and enquiring if everything was alright. I will definitely go back here.

We just ate in the restaurant. Food was OK. Prices reasonable for main courses (excluding steak). Desserts seemed quite pricey. Drinks glasses weren't particularly clean.

Only went there for a quick meal and pint, always like it here. However, prices are getting way too high so visits will have to drop.

Been to hundreds of Spoons around Britain; this is the BEST all round, and the ONLY ONE i've bothered to review... Always FANTASTIC service. Never a problem that isn't sorted properly.

I love Wetherspoons and the Romany Rye is no exception. The food is of a good standard, the beer very good. Staff very friendly, and the room were staying is clean comfortable and warm what more do you want!

All family lovet. The problem are no kids afther 9 at bar is understendabel, but wen are at restaurant with family they can't stay afther 9 at all nead go home. Are the only thing all the rest are amazing the food great and the price of very good, big thanks

I've been many times here and I always had a good experience. I had the orange juice, latte and the chicken basket. Quick and friendly service and great value for monies. Kid friendly and has baby change facilities.

Everything went well, rooms were clean and comfortable, nice and quiet overnight, well located in the middle of town. Great for a one or two night stopover. A family room with enough space for 4, rather than 2 separate room bookings would have been great, but apart from that no complaints.

My husband and I had a nice dinner on curry night. Service was quick and staff very friendly and attentive.

Nicely furnished, helpful staff & value for money. Didn't stay in a room as I'm local.

Rooms were OK. Air conditioning was a bonus and it had comfy beds. The 2 major problems were, 1. Shower head leaked badly and all the rubber was perished, so water came out in all directions. And 2. The sink water drained so slowly. It took half an hour to empty. Sometimes not at all. Overall I was happy with my stay and would recommend it. But the plumbing needs serious attention.
