Had a family Saturday evening meal and drink. It was busy but service was good.

Food was excellent and server was amazing

Great food and reasonably priced. Love the fish and chips. Nice atmosphere with lots of seating. Small car park (with disabled spaces) and ample on street parking.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Particularly the sea bass. Delicious Aperol spritz 🍹. Lovely welcoming atmosphere and perfect for families.

Been coming here for several years now, the staff are so welcoming and helpful. Love spending our Wednesday evenings here having a meal and doing the quiz, even though we fail to win most weeks.

The food they serve is simply disgusting. No other way to put it. If anyone from Robin Hood is reading this please look up felafel on YouTube. What you serve is not felafel, it's a sticky snut. Otherwise it's a nice place, but please stop serving food

A warm welcome awaits from the team, the table set up created offers options for prospective privacy and open access for larger groups. A local pub feel with chain credentials. Food is delicious and reasonably priced.

I visit regularly with my friend, usually Friday night and it is always exceptional. We receive great, friendly service, even if we're only in for Friday Fizz!! The food is good with great choice. The decor is very nice and looking forward to the new outdoor area. Also enjoy the quiz on Sunday.

It's okay. But it seemed odd that my 16 year old wasn't allowed a alcoholic drink with a meal in here, yet everywhere else its fine and the law....👎🏼

Haven't been in here in 20 years but it's typical Ember Inns to the point you could be in The Rising Sun on Abbey Lane or The Sportsman on Benty Lane. And I like both of those pubs. The Robin Hood is warm, welcoming and reliable for food and drink. About to relocate to Millhouses so I'll be paying more visits. I like familiarity. UPDATE 22.06.24 It's even nice following the recent refurb. Cracking little beer garden to the rear.

Had a lovely meal here again today. First visit since the refurbishment and will be back for many more. Food was really enjoyable with a nice welcoming atmosphere.

I met a friend for lunch on Monday. I ordered soup which left a lot to be desired. An Oxo would have been better. I had Calamari. Batter was great. Calamari was non descriptive. A bad day I thought as I have enjoyed meals there for many years. Then I remembered that I had posh fish and chips, didn't enjoy it. Grilled sea bass with potato and asparagus spears. Now changed asparagus for broccoli spears. Tonight I ordered sausage and mash potatoes with onion gravy. I ate 2 sausages that tasted of nothing but the gravy which had no onion in it and no veg at all. I obviously don't enjoy eating at your establishment again but I will continue to go as the atmosphere, staff are excellent. I will make sure that I eat before I come

Today, the pub finds itself as part of the Embers Inns chain. As such its former character and charm have been swept away in favor of bland, generic decor and mediocre service. The biggest crime perhaps is that the equivalent has been allowed to take place in the kitchen. In previous iterations of this establishment, diners could have been assured that the Sunday Roast would be an experience to be savoured with high quality ingredients, well-cooked and served alongside fresh Yorkshire Puddings being the order of the day. The Roast I was served recently, however, fell short of this high bar. The meats were okay, but that is as close as I can come to a compliment. The microwaved veg was bland and served too hot. The "crispy" roast potatoes were dry, cold, and hard on the inside yet soft on the outside. The frozen Yorkshire Pudding was an insult to the county where the pub is located and served cold. I'd comment on the gravy if I'd been given enough to taste it. My criticism does not go quite so far as to say I wouldn't have served the meal to a dog. However, I easily could have as our table was surrounded by these animals straying from close-by groups and barking and yapping sufficiently to annihilate what little was left of the atmosphere. In all, a poor experience I do not recommend and one that I will not be repeating.

Lovely evening out with our 2 of grandchildren plus, we got to know our grandson's girlfriend better! Great night out.

We go to the Robin frequently for drinks and occasionally eat there. We ate there last night and had 2 sirloin steaks which were cooked to our liking. With our steak we enjoy French mustard, but you only had English mustard. The last time we had to endure Dijon but to have no French mustard when offering steaks is inexcusable. Please, please make French mustard available even if it is in sachets. it isn't a lot to ask!!

Lovely family pub, good prices for decent pub food. Dog friendly too!

First time in this pub today and I’ll definitely be back. We were met by our lovely server Vicky, who helped us find a seat and went through the whole menu with us, was nice to be helped by someone so cheerful she made us all smile. We went with posh fish and chips this time but will be exploring more of the menu next time as we will be frequent visitors now. The pub also looks amazing and welcoming exactly what you’re wanting when going into a pub setting. 10/10 from us.

Have been coming to the Robin Hood for over 20 years now and have to say the place the best it has ever been. The refit looks wonderful and seating much more accommodating and has a really lovely feel to it. I visit with my adult son every Thursday night and the service is always impeccable. Most weeks we have been served by Ruth. What a fantastic example of someone who loves their job and really cares about the customers and her service. She is non stop and a real gem for any workplace team to be lucky enough to have. To be honest - all the staff are knowledgeable, friendly efficient and work hard. Watching them up and down the restaurant serving they must do thousands of steps a day! The two lovely younger ladies with blonde hair are also fabulous. A really great team who obviously work well together and it really shows. This will always be my favourite “go to” pub for good classic pub food, value for money, lovely atmosphere and superb service all round. First time I've been to this pub, the staff where lovely, the decor was perfect for my taste, the food was the best I have ever had in a pub and most restaurants, more remarkable the gents toilets smelt fresh and clean 😁

Called for Sunday lunch - walked past many times - sadly all food was frozen potatoes cold , but very tasty still didn’t feel it was fault to complain as it was just so for £12 feely light on gravy and gravy also cold although wasn’t very busy so maybe that’s why ! Gammon very good 👍🏻 service was good some staff better than others drinks good too and good music playing , very clean juts a shame about the food being frozen when it does state fresh veg.

Great pub friendly staff with good service and I can take my dogs - Prosecco great price at £14 and pub grub very reasonable prices - I enjoyed the chicken bacon and avocado salad!

Great place, lovely staff. I must say I consider myself to be quite a connoisseur when it comes to full English breakfast. I’ve tried most places but this always comes out tops. The taste is so fresh, the sausages and bacon nicely grilled, eggs perfect and the butter is second to none. Why 4 stars?? Only because it’s usually barely warm, so ask for it to be hot or at least warm the plates, maybe would be a good idea to go back to pots for the beans. Saying that you would have to go far to get something as nice and so reasonably priced although I wish they would do a small breakfast as 2 of everything is a bit much for some people.

Steak beautifully cooked...chips mediocre, frozen rubbish, peas Definitely not birds eye...grilled tomato good...mushroom very poor quality. Meal was let down by every item barring the Steak which was delicious. Not the chef's fault. I'm sure he/she is just cooking the ingredients provided.

Service was a bit slow and the staff seemed a little disgruntled over something, pity because the food was excellent.

Well they changed the menu so had to change review from 15 stars. The sea bass salad in the photo is no more and wasnt going take a photo of lettuce leaves and sliced tomato and onion. Still nice enough but nothing special, the wowser salad is now something average that can easily be made better and fresher at home, more of a side salad now. Still nice atmosphere for food. Service was great until halfway through some younger member of staff decided to start clearing the table, they seem to decide after a few steps I did need to keep one napkin out of the 4 on the plate which got nicely thrown back at the table???????, plate would have been nice to use for fish skin. Guess they were having a bad day.

Nice fit out. Ember Inns which is ok. Ran out of lime for drink (limes are cheap, schoolboy error). Good local pub but just buy more limes. All other stuff was very good

Dreadful food. Cheap, nasty and definitely not worth the money. I don’t think my dog would eat the food served there. Sunday roast is only meal I would eat again as it wasn’t too bad

Updated decor appealing and staff as friendly and hard working as ever. Food poor quality and took 50 mins. Constant stream of Deliveroo drivers picking up food didn't help. Good drinks selection.

Absolutely dire service waited 2 hours for food when told it was a 45 minute wait and then waited further for main courses. Manager was rude and dismissive of the issue. Food was basic at best.

Booked a family birthday meal for 13, really amazing food and service, very accommodating with allergies and adding extras onto our orders! Only downside was a woman sat playing Mahjong who thought it would be nice to talk about the children at our table (one of which is autistic) by saying she wants to throw buckets of water on them and cheering when we left, other than that the place was amazing:)

Not at all bad, but food for vegetarians is quite lackluster. Staff were great and very accommodating of a delay we needed to make to our food order. But food was not particularly hot and missed the mark. Atmosphere was let down by a large group of mahjong players making noise and interfering with others - wouldn't allow windows or doors to be opened, glared at diners who made any noise at all.

At first it seemed really nice, I had the Sunday duo, which was really nice, hot throughout and the gravy was amazing. However when I ordered my dessert that's when thungs went down hill, I ordered the apple pie and custard, I took 15 minutes and when it arrived it was Luke warm on the outside and stone cold on the inside, the custard was too thick and not pourable, had to scrape it out the jug. This was disappointing as some of the staff were really nice and made the experience really enjoyable.

1st time trying here definitely not the last. Had roughly 5min to order food as kitchen was about to close but managed to get last orders in went for the steak 🥩 with options to add on another stake for under a fiver. Very impressed with the potions and taste and presentation given the time scale the kitchen was about to close eaten everything even down to the garden peas would have ordered it again but missed out on the timing was thankful they still served me. My now new to go place for a great meal thanks 🙂

Love this pub, love the fireplaces and does habe have a classy look to it. Got a beer garden as well. Food is piping hot and tasty. Would definitely recommend and will return!

Great service, great food, good atmosphere. Good choice of drinks and also dog friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff, Sophie one of the staff was outstanding.

The food was lovely and tasty and the bartender was attentive and helpful (we messed up using our vouchers and he amended it for us). However..we presume she is the bar the manager...she was loud obnoxious and conducting and interview in a forthright manner near tables who were dining at the time. Found this really u professional...plus she was complaining about being on shift til 12 by herself. I understand the stresses of working in a commercial environment, as I work in that sector to, but you should never impose ir feelings on the customer. If it wasn't for ur delicious food and attentive bar tender we would not be returning. She was also rude to customers asking for a table. Understand ur fully booked due to the 33 percent off voucher but never address them saying oh I don't think we can accommodate u...but u can sit there if u want. Shame on her. (Description...blonde hair...glasses and stripy top).

It's a nice enough looking place, but certainly not cheap. The steak was very tough and there were about 10 very dry chips and the fish was very greasy. Won't be going again.

The Robin Hood in Millhouses, Sheffield, is a welcoming, dog friendly, pub managed and run by attentive and friendly bar staff. The premises are nicely furnished and fully carpeted ensuring customer comfort. Bar meals are tasty, extremely popular and well priced with regular special offers. There is even a table offering free dog treats. A wide range of beers with cheap beer nights on Monday and Thursday. Best of all, the pub stocks John Smith’s beer. Who could want any alternative? Well recommended.

Ruth, Molly and Sophie working on our visit. They was excellent as always. All the staff are. Helpful and fun to chat with while working hard and constantly providing a good service and making time for banter with customers and at the same time not letting it affect the speed of service to others.

If I could give part stars, this would be a 4¾* review. Absolutely lovely. The staff were quick and friendly, and they didn't come to check two seconds into our meal, so we actually got to taste it. The food was lovely - small downside: the only reason it's 4/5 stars is because some of the food portions are too small for the pricing in our opinion (e.g. the caramel apple pie dessert), but I understand that today's economy is brutal with its prices and money needs to be made at the end of the day. This happens at a lot of gastro-pubs we've been to, so it's not just The Robin Hood that has this issue. Maybe scale desserts back a pound or so? The atmosphere was calm and comfortable, and the fireplaces weren't too hot - we sat at the table next to the fireplace further from the front door (Table 6) and it didn't feel like we were melting, which was good. We could still feel the heat, but it didn't overpower the table. We also managed to easily book my grandad's birthday here as he likes the place and seemed to recognise at least one of the staff, so it must have made a good impression. Also, for dog lovers, The Robin Hood is dog friendly!

On arrival there was a large party sitting nearby. The children in the party were crawling about on the floor round tables, shouting and screaming. Adults in the party and staff made no effort to control said children. We ordered a meal. Service was prompt, polite and very good. My wife's meal was really good. I ordered sirloin steak, rare. It arrived cooked perfectly and nicely presented. It was when I tried to eat it that the problems started. It was as tough as old boots and required more chewing than I could manage. When the assistant manager saw how much I had left she offered me a free pudding but no reduction to the bill for an inedible steak. I am a very regular customer, I like all the staff @ the Robin Hood and I seldom complain but to pay £16 for an inedible steak is not acceptable.

The food was absolutely amazing even the to-go box my friend got was beautiful even after a few hours the only thing I could really complain (if anything it was my own preference as i am a pastry chef) about was that the brownies we got were made with dark chocolate and it made them a bit tarte but overall we would definitely recommend the service and food and we'll definitely be back again.

Late lunch from the Christmas menu with friends. Even better than last year! Portions were an excellent size. Moist slices of turkey, rich gravy, great Yorkshire pudding and lovely vegetables. A real plate full. Christmas Pudding did not disappoint either. Service good. Nice to see the place so busy.

20 of us went for a meal last night and it was smashing. The staff were very friendly, food was hot with warm plates and very good. We would highly recommend for a Christmas party/ meal.

Superb Christmas Lunch, beautifully cooked and ample portions couldn't fault it. Blackberry and Apple crumble was slightly over done as the crumble was a tiny bit burnt on top. But still a lovely lunch.
