At last ! A Man size Sunday lunch that was awesome .

Fantastic place to eat with great food. This is a more traditional pub that hasn't been spoiled becoming 'gastro' service is very quick, well presented food, good menu selection and nice atmosphere.

Had a lovely time and our food was great as always service excellent.

Brilliant service, food was hot and tasty, would recommend.

The day we went there it was freezing inside service was slow, gave up came home without a sweet, waited 20 minutes for server, no show

My elderly parents, my teenage children and I went to The Robin Hood for Sunday lunch. The food was beautiful; lots of dishes to choose from to suit everyone’s taste. The staff were friendly and polite and couldn’t do enough for us. The service was swift too. Highly recommend the Sunday Roast…. Delicious!

This was our first visit since it had re-opened. There was a lot to choose from on the menu, the food was good, everyone enjoyed their roast. The service could have been better, there seemed to be enough staff, they just didn't appear to be as attentive as they could have been.

Met up with family for a Xmas lunch. The staff were lovely, the food scrumptious. The only downside was it was freezing inside. It was below zero outside and it would have been perfect if the log burning fire had been lit. Will definitely go back - but in the summer!!

So pleased to see Robin Hood back up and running again. Limited hours but worth visiting. Fabulous Sunday roast. Massive portions and all fresh nothing frozen. Stack of onion rings starter was about a foot tall !! 3 dips too. Was delicious. More than enough for 2 people to share. Didn't have room left for a pudding but what I saw coming out looked yummy!! Well done all staff. Good luck with moving forward and hopefully local people will support you. We have been twice in a week!! So good

We visited the Robin Hood Buckingham last night, after being turned away at the Green Man Inn (which was empty!!!) All good things happen for a reason, as this was the first time we have been to Robin Hood (we are from Suffolk) and what a meal it was. Unlike the Green man it was very welcoming as soon as we walked in the door, the lady behind the bar was very friendly too. The stack of onion rings and cheddar rings was to die for, the food was extremely hot and served in good time, and the burgers were outstanding, home made and dare I say but the best beef burger I think I have ever tasted. A real proper beef burger. We had so much food we couldn’t move after. All cooked to perfection. We definitely will be back if we are in the area again, for anybody looking for a nice place I can’t recommend it enough, we only wished we were closer as we would be here all the time! A warm welcome and fine pub food. We always have a lovely meal at the Robin Hood and tonight was no exception. We enjoyed fish and chips, ribs and slaw, scampi and chips and homemade steak and ale pie. Glorious food and really great staff who made us very welcome and kept us entertained for the evening. A local pub that we always enjoy visiting

Lovely Family walk at Stowe, needed somewhere for lunch. Managed to get a table in a dog friendly area for 6. Only just over a mile from Stowe excellent food and lovely service, recommended

Stopped by on off chance as never eaten there before, was not dissaponited, Best roast potatoes an gravy ,new go to place for Sunday dinner, an friendly smiling staff ,pleasure to eat there

The Robin Hood is a traditional village pub with a rustic feel. We had a fantastic meal, homely food with quality ingredients at a good price. The service was very friendly.

Arrived for a quick lunch to celebrate our local’s reopening! Staff were friendly, very welcoming and apologetic for any delay - the tables had been rearranged and the old rehired staff were still getting used to it! Beer was cold and refreshing, food was lovely, the puddings were AMAZING - totally worth the visit!

We went for a special breakfast treat! The tables were a little sticky but that’s the sign of a great pub! We were the only people there so had excellent service! Yummy breakfast and nice service.. We will be back..

I popped in this pub not being from the area the young waitress was really nice to me took time out of her day to talk to me and make me feel comfortable :) really polite and funny can't wait to pop in again next year :)

Popped in for breakfast and to catch up with a friend and had a lovely time. Excellent service from friendly staff and had an great fry up.

This has always been a great go to pub for a meal or a get together. It has been shut for several years, so when I saw the place being repainted and rebranded I was very pleased. They currently are not offering evening service, but it's great for lunch.

Had a Sunday roast here I have not gone out to eat a Sunday roast for a long time. Was disappointing the gravy was like water, the beef wasn't great and the roast potatoes tastes like they were frozen! The Yorkshire pudding was good but the veg was limited would have been lovely to have some parsnips or something too. We was asked to give our details for the covid check in thing whilst we were eating this would have been better whilst we were waiting for food.

A dingy pub made even worse by what looks like years of dirt on the windows. Food, bars to find a poorer carvery.

Third time here unfortunately will not be going back. First time I tried the liver it was tasty but over cooked so asked for it to be pink. This time it was cremated &tough as old boots.

The Robin Hood is always a lovely place to go, the food is lovely, the pub is small and cosy and the vibe is really friendly! It is definitely somewhere we always consider when thinking of going out!

Called in for Sunday lunch after visiting Stowe, only 5 minutes away. A good selection of traditional pub food and carvery, served hot and in good time. A good selections of beers at the bar.

So sorry I have been so slack with this review, but you are amazing people at Robin Hood you have been accommodating myself and my family which is always around a table of 20 twice a year for many years. You have never let us down, food is outstanding, service is top notch delivered all together we are amazed how u do this, we are also grateful with how you give us our own space to celebrate my passed sister bday and anniversary as a family and my dad absolutely adores your food, you guys are just the best with a caring manner and we will continue to celebrate at the robin hood for as long as u will have us!! cause you guys are amazing, so thank you from the bottom of our hearts xxxx

Had lunch today at The Robin, excellent food & service with reasonable prices for wine & beer. Large portions for the bid appetite but will definitely be back. I had the Liver which was very good but slightly overlooked for me.

Loved it had meal with my wife here as we stopped off for some lunch hands down the BEST home made chillie con carne I've ever eaten the staff were lovely and the food was great 100% would recommend it here

We popped in to the Robin Hood for lunch today and as usual it was very good. My husband had the steak pie and the filling was so tender and tasty. I had the beef roast and it really hit the spot on a chilly Saturday. Good simple pub food done very well.

Taken to the Robin Hood for Brithday lunch. Vegie roast and beef roast, got it so right, lovely. For pudding dime bar chocolate tart and ice cream yummy, yum, yum, and treacle sponge custard and ice cream was also yummy. Very friendly, warm welcome always a treat to visit, thank you.

Friendly staff, reasonable price and food was nice

We only stayed for an hour or so as they close at 3 on a weekday afternoon but the beer was excellent, Greene King I think, the staff were all very nice to chat to and it is dog friendly there. The menu looked good and fairly priced but we never made it back for food.

Wasn’t expecting to enjoy a roast lunch on a weekday! The choice on the pensioners menu was was extensive and very good value. The quality and quantity of the food was extremely good. Pleasant staff. No complaints at all. Would recommend and return for sure.

Been twice in a month and can recommend the rump steak, falafel burger, roast chicken and veggie curry. All cooked freshly and well. Would go back again to try more.

I visited the Robin Hood for lunch today & I had an extremely good meal. The staff were very friendly & helpful & my meal - the veggie roast of the day (stuffed butternut squash) was absolutely superb. I was part of a large group & although we had to wait a short time for our meals, they were served at the same time & were all piping hot. I have visited here before & I've always been impressed with the extensive menu & the delicious food. I'm looking forward to a return visit soon!

Let down with table booking for 10 people for birthday dinner

Lovely little country pub. Will be returning for sunday lunch, small beer garden, children's play area. Quiet setting and friendly staff.

Once again stopped here on the way to silverstone and took advantage of the pensioners lunch, great food and even better value plus some really good beers.

Called at the Robin Hood for a meal tonight after reading the positive reviews-very disappointing. Ordered Salmon with mango rice-salmon was dry-grossly overcooked together with dry rice-unable to eat it. They offered to take it back to chef but as I'd tried to eat some of it I didn't fancy another one and my husband was half way through his meal! After refusing to pay for this meal I could hear the chef shouting at the bar staff "tell her not to come back again"!!! Chef if you can't cook a piece of salmon and take criticism-get out of the kitchen!!!!

Had a great meal here and the service was excellent.

Return visit to the UK, used to eat here regularly. Still great food and very good value. Would highly recommend.

A lovely friendly welcome. Ordered drinks and the 2 course lunch for OAP's we had beef and nut loaf roasts excellent and puddings, good portions and very tasty £10.95. The flowers are beautiful in the hanging baskets and tubs, shows the owner makes every effort to make it very welcoming on first impressions.

Always go here when visiting family in Buckingham, never had bad service, good portions size and top notch food, definately recommend.

Charge adult prices for an old lady of 95 who could only just manage a child's portion even though we ordered 6 main meals and explained she was disabled.

Taking here by friends for lunch, great place to eat. Two of us had burgers they were great and portions of all meals was generous. Waitress very pleasant not only served food but also our drinks. Well worth a visit.

Food was delicious, plates came out nice and warm, cutlery and cups were not very clean.

Fabulous food tonight, we were a party of six. The fish & chips were superb and food was 'hot' the best i've had for years. Staff really friendly and efficient. Well done Robin Hood 👍👍👍👍

I highly recommend it to everyone. Nice and friendly service. Good and nicely served meals. A good place to stop and eat something quickly, or spend a few hours trying this or that.

I was surprised upon entry at not having a choice of flavoured gins- as this is currently very popular. Most pubs stock at least a rhubarb gin these days.....

We met up with family for lunch, menu is typical pub food at reasonable prices. Service was stretched getting our food was not a problem but it took ages to clear tables and get deserts, and again tables was not cleared. Not staffs fault just not enough of them

Had a meal there yesterday and have to say it was one of the nicest ones I've had in a long time when eating out - I had turkey which was so moist I could have eaten a whole one - plenty veg, stuffing, roast potatoes, etc - the staff were lovely and gave my little grandson pencils and a colouring book whilst we were waiting for dinner - our starters were soup which was lovely + hot accompanied by crusty bread. The desserts were delicious and the staff were very attentive and explained all that was on the menu - would definitely go back asap though I live in London - excellent atmosphere even if you just wanted a drink it's a lovely pub . Went there again 10 days ago food still excellent I had a roast but after tasting the Steak pie I wished I had ordered that - it was delicious I can't wait to go back

We have eaten here many times over the years, it's a nice pub with a varied menu. As we weren't in the main restaurant, we were tucked around the corner by the bar we felt that the service wasn't up to usual standards as we were easy to forget about. The food was good, but I prefer to visit in the summer when there are lighter options on the menu. Having said that, our party of 6 all enjoyed their meals and the service was friendly.

We've been told about this place by a lot of friends so we thought we'd check it out on Friday lunchtime as we had the day off. We was not disappointed. Warm welcome, lovely food and well kept premises. Starter x 1, Main x 2, Side x 1, Drinks x 3. All for just over £30. Very good value.

My wife and I visited the Robin Hood because it was conveniently placed for our visit to Stowe Gardens. I went for the Lamb Shank and my wife went for the Chicken Tikka Marsala. Both meals were excellent and the service was friendly. e were also offered a bowl of water for our dog. We'd be quite happy to go again.

Good food and helpful staff - will be visiting again!

My wife and I dropped in for lunch after visiting Stowe Gardens (very convenient). From a fairly extensive menu I choose the liver and bacon with mash. The portion was huge and the quality good. My wife elected to have the 'over 60 s' menu (2 courses for £9.99) She had the roast chicken which was substantial and came with stuffing, 6 roast potatoes and a Yorkshire pudding.
