Called into the bell on our way to a hospital appointment, although the food was good, a choice with some meals, small or large. I was disgusted at some of the cleanliness, I used 5 baby were wipes to clean highchair, I could see leftover food on their before I cleaned it and the tables were disgustingly sticky from the build up of spray and wipe clean. Shame the pub up the road was shut, have always looked forward to lunch their.

Had read some good reviews but wow... the place is a gem! Friendly and attentive staff and the thai menu is to die for! All obviously fresh and cooked to order and very reasonably priced. Portion sizes are just right. We used to go to "the other place up the road" but feel it's gone downhill a bit recently with its "bikers welcome" sign outside. This is our new place to go!

Primarily this is a very popular village pub with a small area for sit down meals. Yes they serve a small selection of Thai dishes but also a small selection of British dishes. The pub side which can clearly be seen and heard was justifiably busy on a Friday night. It appeared that there were just 2 oriental men serving both the pub and the restaurant clients and thus the service was very laboured. Our table was booked for 7pm and we left shortly after 10pm. The Thai food choice was limited but nicely cooked though if I'm picky, it would have been nice to have strips of chicken, not roughly cut chunks! The cost was quite reasonable, £70 for 2 courses for 3 people + 3 glasses of wine and 2 pints of cider. If I'm honest, I think I will try to find other Thai restaurants dedicated to being just a Thai restaurant before returning to this 50/50 split.

Great customer service and fantastic food and rather than stick to tried and tested starters this time i had the Tom Yum soup it was light, fresh and the perfect starter before my main course. We noticed that this pub serves Thai food a few weeks ago when we dropped in for a drink, and decided to give it a go the Saturday evening just past.Firstly, it is a small pub, with a layout that is split in half; one side for the drinkers and the other side for the restaurant. The restaurant has about 6 or 7 tables and all were full when we entered at about 7.30pm.The team behind the bar were working very hard to serve the Saturday night drinkers and customers in the restaurant; however it seemed to get a bit too much for them which lead to fairly slow service. But they were very apologetic, polite and helpful - which goes a long way to helping you forgive the slowness! We were a party of 4 and ordered starters of vegetable spring rolls for 1 and the starter platter for the other 3. Everyone enjoyed the starter and commented on how it was a large portion served with a nice range of dips - I had the spring rolls (you get four) which were cooked well and generously filled! For main course I order a Red Thai Vegetable & Tofu Curry with coconut rice; again the portion was large and very well cooked! The vegetables were cooked through not too crunchy but not at all soggy and the tofu was great! The others had Beef Massaman and Red Thai Beef Curry and everyone finished their meal and said that they really enjoyed it!Overall a great meal out and we will definitely be returning!Much better than all of the other specialist Thai restaurants in the Aylesbury area by a long way.

On Sundays they only do roast dinners, but have a choice of beef, lamb, pork or chicken all with fresh vegetables, roast potatoes and yorkshire puddings. They also do two sizes (small and large). The prices were very good varying from £7.95 to £10.95 which is very competitive. Once ordered the meals came quite quickly. I had pork, which was slow roasted belly of pork which was utterly delicious, extremely tender with very little fat. The others also enjoyed their meals. We will definitely be eating here again.

Relatively small inside, but charming service. Very well kept beer. We had the "small" servings off the Sunday menu - thankfully, because they were perfectly adequate portions. The food was very tasty, piping hot, lovely fresh vegetables, great roast potatoes, perfect Yorkshire pudding. For meats we had chicken, lamb, and pork belly and all were unanimously declared first class. A great random find - we look forward to going back to try the Thai menu.

Our small group of ex work colleagues, which meets every couple of months, decided on a change from our usual Italian restaurant and, after some internet research for something different, I came up with the Bell which seemed to meet the criteria we had set and we decided to give it a try.Set in a small village where many houses seemed to be for sale, the pub is on the main road and has a fairly small car park. The interior gives an impression of being quite dark but there is a light and airy table which we took in a corner with two windows. We had selected the pub because of its mixed Thai and English cuisine. The menus for both varieties are fairly short but offer reasonable choice We all had the mixed Thai starter, which was good. One of us then had scampi and chips and the others Thai sweet & sour fish and Thai green prawn curry (unusually this contained a lot of peas). I accompanied my choice with garlic and spring onion rice which was very nutty. All the food was considered to be good. We finished with coffee, a bit on the weak side for me.Service was friendly and efficient. We dined alone until a couple of men, who had obviously been before, came in for a meal.Beer is Fullers. All in all a very pleasant experience. We may well go again

Prices for either Thai or English meals are very good however, the only downside is the price of beer but as it is a Fullers pub and tied it was not unexpected.

This was a new destination for us and we thought that it look quite nice from the outside and they were advertising both Thai and English food. When we entered we found that we were the only customers there despite it being a Saturday lunch (13.30). We were shown the menu straight away and asked what we wanted to eat. This was before we had even ordered a drink. it wax then that we were told that there was no Thai food served at lunchtime and were given the choice of 6-7 dishes and we also told that one of the dishes had sold out and another had only one portion left. We order and got a drink and asked if we could set up a tab and they were not keen on this. The meals themselves were alright and it did not take them long to serve us. When we had almost finished the meal a local couple came into the bar and ordered Thai food and were told that would be alright. The price of the meal was alright but the price of the drinks were expensive, it meant that we spent 3/4 of an hour there and spent over £20 on two meals and 2 pints of carlsburg. It was not somewhere that we would recommend to others.

In our opinion this is one of the best places to eat in the Aylesbury area...the quality is excellent at a price that makes it incredible value for money. The beer is always well kept...I've never had a bad pint in there. It's great to have a pub in walking distance that knows how to look after Fullers ESB!If you want 'quiet' then Tuesdays and Wednesday's are the best bet...other than that there's usually a convivial atmosphere provided by the the 'locals' in the bar that doesn't impose too much on the restaurant area.Always advisable to book at the weekend and especially on a Sunday for lunch.Looking forward to Thai again on Friday!!

I had passed it by on many many occasions and following a disastrous visit here around 8 years ago when it was under precious management I swore I would never visit again. We arrived this evening without booking and were greeted with kindness and the utmost courtesy by the Thai waiter. He was attentive without being overbearing and simply appeared as if by magic whenever he was needed. The restaurant delivers both English and Thai food and this evening we ate Thai . Just delicious and would highly recommend to everyone. It's SUCH a joy to actually have KING prawns as stated on the menu as opposed to the overlooked unappetising "bullets" I've had in most other restaurants !! I was actually tempted not to put a review on here as if too many people know about it we may not be able to just visit ad hoc and get a table. Firstly I hope I'm writing review of The Bell in Bierton as the photo is not correct! Visited this pub last night for the first time as heard it was now a Thai Restaurant. Smallish dining room very well decorated and good atmosphere. The food was delicious and tasted authentic Thai although staff were English. Maybe the chef was Thai! Thoroughly recommend this friendly pub and also very good value for money. They also do takeaway which we will using in the future.

Ellie was our server. We had a group of 30 odd for a retirement party. She smoothly took all our orders at different times as people came in dribs and drabs. We mostly got our food at the same time. I

I was a little nervous about my first meal out since lockdown but needn't have been. The tables are quite a way apart and the staff all wear masks. The food was fresh, very well prepared and tasty. I
