The Robert Kett Meet and Eat pub in South Norfolk

Beautifully refurbished pub with super friendly staff. Greeted with a smile, and served by the knowledgable and bubbly Emily. Special shout out to the lovely Daryl & Dan for your hospitality, you really made us feel welcome. Highly recommend the Katsu Curry Tempura Prawns - never had salt & vinegar mayo, but was not disappointed. My husband had the Halloumi Fries and the Beef & Ale Pie, safe to say he cleared the plate! We will defo be back! Looking forward to sipping a cocktail or two in the beer garden.

Beer: There was no real ale available for sale at 12.00 when we visited, we were told it was still resting. Not a great example for a pub. Food: The Hunters Chicken was very dry, the bacon over done and burned. Texan BBQ sauce tasted burnt, not a pleasant flavour. The dish had obviously been sat under the heat lamp for quite some time or had been re-heated. This dish was ordered without salad or onion rings, but was served to the table with onion rings to make up for lack of chips on the plate. The Korean Chicken Burger was also very dried out, with very little sauce. The brioche bun was totally unsuitable, doughy and soggy. It was discarded after one bite. The burger was served with lettuce, onion and tomato in the bun, not the herby topping with fresh chilli as described in the menu. I also had to ask for the pot of Korean sauce that should have been served with the meal. There is better Korean chicken from Kongs Fish and Chips opposite the pub, cheaper too! Our overall impression was poor, the staff are very friendly and helpful, but they can only serve what they are given and the facilities do not take the needs of disabled customers into account. An opportunity was missed during the recent expensive refurbishment to make main entrance wheelchair friendly. Greene King only needed to remove the concrete kerbing and create a shallow ramp on the repaved path. Instead wheelchair access is via a detour through the carpark. The Main door is difficult to open for a wheelchair user on their own, or even with a pushing companion. The seating inside is also not disabled friendly, benches with no back support and with very few chaired seating areas that do not involve steps for access. I don't like to leave a poor review but this is an honest account of our experience on the day. Our expectations of the revamped pub were not met.

So as a repeat guest, we had an average meal as new owners had opened. However only been one week opened with new furnishing and unfortunately same old issues with poor cleaning of tables Sticky surface shows that staff are not taking the time to properly to clean. Such a shame as its a case of staff standing about rather than keeping up with making sure it's tip top. Needs more attention from management to to keep.on top of this.

The revamped pub looks lovely so we decided to pop in. Its Monday lunchtime so not a busy time, but they were understaffed with one poor girl doing everything. We ordered a sandwich each which took 40 minutes to arrive. Nice food when it arrived but the wait is a little long, hopefully once staffing is sorted this may improve?

Well ignore any reviews prior to April 2024. This place has had a complete makeover from the toilets to the seating areas and wow what a transformation. The staff are friendly and the manager is interacting making sure things are as they should be. The menu has all the classics with extra variety for all food requirements. Fast service, quality food and wine at sensible prices. If you have been here before this pub / restaurant is unrecognisable. We had a lovely family meal and would highly recommend giving it a try.

So glad the Robert Kett has reopened and it looks great , we went for a meal I had Rump Steak and my husband had Hunter’s Chicken we both enjoyed our meals it was nicely presented and very tasty, even though they were quite busy we didn’t wait long for our food to arrive. Highly recommend a visit, and we will see you soon!

So good to see this community pub renovated, under new management, and open again. Refurbed with care and a huge nod to Wymondham's history the Robert Kett's new managers Daryl and Daniel are clearly keen to make a success of this place and become part of the local community. The team are friendly and welcoming. The new menu is well priced and - from what I tried - tasty and well presented. There are TV screens for watching sports events plus pool and dart boards. Comfy booth seating areas, children and dogs are welcome, clean and fresh loos. The hard work shows. Good luck to the team - you deserve to do well.

Wonderful! Just what our marvellous Town needed, a return to a family restaurant and real community local pub with pool, darts and lovely, attentive staff. Definitely worth a trip particularly because this establishment has been brought bang up to date with lovely surroundings, wide range of menu items and good selection of beers/wines etc.

Deeply disappointing. Don't go every week, but reasonably often. In these hard times I don't like criticising struggling businesses but have to today. This pub is not all new and spicy and span, or trendy. Its just an average pub with great food, both value for money and quality, along with friendly attentive staff. This time we ordered as usual, and after some time we're told there would be a delay. When the food finally turned up I have to say first impression was not very exciting. I had the all day breakfast, and my wife had the Chicken new yorker. I was not asked on ordering if I wanted toast or bread, so reminded the girl on the bar when she came to tell us of the delay. The toast was one somewhat flimsy slice with three packs of butter. Strangely it was all covered in a huge sprinkle of what looked like coriander leaves or chopped chives. The first half of the slice was OK, but didn't quite seem right. It was only half way through the second half that I realised they had only toasted one side. The sausages were dry and had a strange look and texture to them, looking somewhat like vegan sausages, and tasting what I imaging a vegan sausage might taste like. The meal just didn't look very appetising. My wife's meal looked similarly unappetising, and the fries were very dark, but not burnt. I tried some and they appear to have more likely been fried in old oil. The chicken was dry, and the outside very hard. All in all we always like going here, and always defend any criticism. This time, it was very poor, and certainly no where near their usual standard. I felt the young lady had no real experience in any form of front of house. She did appologise and ask what would we like her to do. We didn't want to cause a scene, and weren't trying to get any refund, but I asked her to relay our dissapointment and comments to the management. It looked to me as if the company has recently changed hands, as the whole dining experience had been very poor, and they need to be aware and deal with the situation quickly. This is constructive criticism, but the experience fell way short the mark, and certainly our usual expectations and experience.

I ordered a beef roast (£11.49) and a pint of St. Austell Tribute Ale (£4.30). The service at the bar was friendly and my meal arrived promptly. The plate was pre-warmed and the portions were large. There were 5 types of vegetables: carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, French beans and peas. Four roast potatoes, which were good, a Yorkshire pudding, a ball of stuffing and lots of gravy. I had three slices of beef, but half of one slice was just gristle. On offer today was gammon, beef and chicken and two vegetarian/vegan dishes - I'm not sure what they were. I was surprised that it was not busier. Apart from the ropey beef the rest was fine, but that to me is the most important part of the meal.

Friendly and quick service; we were able to just walk in and have a nice Sunday lunch roast without having to book. The food was generally good and generous in size - we supplemented the roasts with cauliflower cheese - highly recommended if you like this and we were then too full to try puddings; just to note that there are specials for dessert. We will definitely come again.

Came here with my family today, absolutely loved the food, compliments to the chef. Clean place, covid safe, polite staff. Definitely will be returning.

Two weeks running came for Sunday roast. Pork both times, cooked to perfection and plenty of it. Especially nice for us all the veg cooked through. Every member of staff friendly and obliging. Another lovely visit.

Had another great meal here for my daughters birthday ive eaten here a good few times in the last year or so since the new landlord and landlady took over and the food is lush the steak i had was cooked perfectly and our others meals were all spot on couldnt fault any if it 👌staff always friendly and the atmospheres always good the place is defo one my fave places to eat lately

Really nice family friendly atmosphere. Had ages from 2-62+ In our group. Pub food but also specials. Becky and her partner who run the pub are really hands on and a presence. The place has really turned around since they’ve taken it over and it really is family and friendly welcome.

Now Karl has taken over the food and service is superb I use the kett normally once a week . Give it a try

Nice friendly pub and restaurant facilities. Children very welcome. Food was very nice and tasty/ well cooked and service was good. Owners friendly and attentive. Price very reasonable for 5 of us. Will visit again.

Is an alright pub which I never really go in but was super disappointed with the service, we had our toddlers with us and and big group of 10. They served the kids mains and desserts last which was super frustrating as the kids got annoyed they couldn't eat I do like my deserts but had to end up sharing mine (mainly them eating it) and then by the time theirs came they didn't want it so if you are looking for somewhere to have kids prioritized on food, don't waste your time. Also the service wasn't as quick as I would expect especially for desserts

I feel having visited this place for years and coming across a review like the one below it was only far to give my opinion with it being completely opposite. The place has had its ups and downs over the years but the new land lord lady of the last few months have really changed it around, in regards to the white powder reference considering the licensing police have been in unannounced and not found residue of such substance anywhere I feel goes to show the turn around the place has had. Theyve had the seats recovered since taking over and all round really improved the feel good community public house it once was without the trouble. Every time I visit whether planned or not I eat off the menu and you get what you pay for. Cheap and cheerful. All round happy to have it up the road.

After moving to the area we thought we would give this pub a go. We'll, Where do I start, the facilities are disgusting. We ordered a drink at the bar and clearly the man who served us did not want to be there. We found a seat in a boothe which had sticky tables and ripped seats we were extremely put off by this and decided NOT to make ourselves ill by eating here. My husband used the toilet and saw residue of white powder over the toilet roll holder. Immediately he grabbed me and told me we must leave. How this pub is still running I don't know!If you like dark grotty dirty pubs this place is for you! I wouldn't like to come here or walk past this pub in the evening on my own you don't no what may be lurking out of them doors. Will certainly not be returning!!

The new management in this pub are really turning it around. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Our party consisted of two OAPs, a child and a vegetarian, we were all well catered for and enjoyed our meals.Great improvement.

WOW! Under new management but by previous staff and massive improvements in a matter of days, no more sticky tables lovely hot food and great smiles with service. Someone said hi before we even found a table. Massive improvement.

This pub is severely in need of decorating carpets horrible and sticky. Food is awful all microwaved rubbish, don’t bother wasting your money

Let’s get the negative points out the way. Had to wait 45 minutes for meal to be served and staff did not know what a vat receipt is.Now the good stuff. Great atmosphere, clean table, large portion of well cooked food at a reasonable price. The new owners deserve a massive pat on the back.I shall be back

Revisited here after new management apparently. food has definably improved for both main & kids meals. Service was good also. Only bad point was sticky tables

Family meal very good two mixed grills cooked to perfection one steak amazing and a hunters chicken which was good, bouncy castle for kids waitress polite and asked if everything ok, barmaid worked her socks off and very friendly. Great family pub

I visited for the first time after searching for a suitable family friendly pub I could take two 11 year old boys to watch football on sky tv. Right from when I phoned up to enquire, the staff went out of their way to accommodate us with a recommended private booth with tv booked. The pub is friendly and child welcoming. The food was very nice, and reasonably priced. The excellent service and friendliness of the staff really made the visit though. Although I don’t live locally I will certainly be visiting again. All people and ages will feel welcomed, just how it should be in a traditional feel pub. We were well looked after and the little attentions to detail the staff gave, including a warm welcome and goodbye made it a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.

This is now my go to place for drinks and food, as the food is really well priced and really good value. The portion sizes are really good.The drink is also a good pint cheap as-well. Offers a good range of food and drink so would recommend giving this place a try. The staff are really friendly and pleasant and always happy to help if you need anything. The only thing that lets this place down is no kids play area but not there fault as personally don’t think there would be enough space for one.

Eaten here a few times and the food has always been excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Great selection of drinks for everyone. Would defiantly recommend. Lovely family pub as well.

Me and my partner arrived here for sunday lunch 11 feb 2018, were we was greeted by a moody manager who seemed more interested in her phone then her job!

i recently stopped here with family and friends for a nice meal. havent got a bad word to say amazing food amazing staff excellent customer service would definatly recommend.

We often treat the granddaughters to tea here and never had a bad meal yet and the pint of guiness is spot on. The service is quick staff friendly even offered the children pens and paper so they could draw a picture as they wait for meals to come out . The beef wrap is out of this world according to hubby and sunday roast are well worth it. Will be seeing us all again especially when the entertainment on as just whats needed a good meal good pint and music. The only fault i find is the kids like the toy machines but now told them if light on means dont work lol as cost a fortune when got 4 girls to treat.

Well what can I say? Started with the lovely smell of weed drifting in from where the local dopeheads had been outside to smoke it.ordered meals 2 giant mixed grills 1 with skinny fries and a salmon on bubble and squeak. Mixed grills arrive both with chunky chips both missing items off the plates, spoke to waitress who went off and come back with 1 portion of missing items,which was still missing items. You’d have thought they would of got it right as they had already taken 1 mixed grill back and replaced chips with anemic looking skinny fries.2 of the popular lagers ran out.Steak luke warm I can go on. The only decent thing was the wife’s Salmon and the waitress who was very polite. Would I reccomend this place ? Not a chance in hell, won’t be going there again for quite sometime.

Me and my friends recently came in for a Christmas party and it was amazing. The food was lovely, no waiting and starters, main and desserts came out in good time, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Would highly recommend this pub to anyone fantastic food on the xmas menu and normal menus and as soon as you walk in it’s very welcoming. They also told me I could bring my Labrador in as it’s a dog friendly pub, can’t fault this place one bit, we are regular customers and will be visiting again specially over the xmas period they have a disco and prize draws on so we will be celebrating here

Have bean here frequent but the management has changed. We had 3 meals one of which was a kids meal, two meals sent back instantly due to cold beans one of which was a kids meal. Onion rings served on dirty crocks with an excuse of new chef who also does the washing and it the pots we cook our lasagne in. If temperature checks had also been done we would have not had cold food. Disappointing turnaround for what was great food under old management.

We visited the kett tonight 15/10/17 at teatime,although there was 10 of us we hadn't booked in but we're lucky enough that the young waiter moved a couple of tables around to accommodate out party.we only waited about 20 minutes for our food which consisted of 2 surf and turf which were cooked to perfection as was my sirloin . 2 of out party had hunters chicken and they said how moist and succulent the chicken was.other dishes we had were big daddy burger,scampi and chips and Ham egg and chips which my convalescing mother cleared her plate full.we done on excellent service,the polite lady behind the bar was very efficient.highly recommend for good cooks food at a reasonable price.

This pub is by far the best pub in Wymondham. The atmosphere, staff and local are all very welcoming and friendly. The manager was a very kind and respectful lady and she was very nice and suggesting certain meals to eat. The food was exceptionally cooked and I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. Would definitely visit again. One top of this the kitchen manager Billy is very good at cooking the sort of meals you want and also allows you to change it up to how you want.

We wanted a long walk, we wanted a roast. We walked to the Kett. As usual the service was very good. Largers and Ales were great. Football on was great. The roast was good. It wasn't great, but by the cost it was well worth the money. The options today was Beef or Chicken. I went beef. I loved it. The flavors were spot on. Beef was nice, plenty of veg was great. creamy mash. Roasties, Yorkie. The Broccoli was full of water I had to shake off every time and it made the gravy all watery, the stuffing was very salty. Apart from that, very nice. Well worth the money they ask for.

Fuimos para una copa con los amigos no me di cuenta de karaoke estaba en buena música y parecía que la gente de la emoción. Las bebidas estaban bien y barato pub parecía un poco descuidado y muy ruidoso, pero si te gusta ese tipo de cosas no es demasiado mala

Comido aquí varias veces, la comida es siempre fresca y caliente, el personal siempre es amable, y la sidra es frío como el hielo si su hambre y quieres una comida de pub barato no busques más comida fresca, y porciones siempre buena

This public house has a great way of making you want to come back with great service and great food twice in one weekend my family and I attended for food and we're promptly served , food arriving in perfect . Worth finding if you want good value pub food that is well prepared and well served. Good choice to suit individuals and families.

Just to say a big ' THANK YOU 'To the Chef (Nathan) I think ? for the best pub food we have ever had, everything was cooked to perfection, and also to the really friendly staff especially the new assistant manager who on our 2nd visit remembered what we drink.How good is that. Five of our family visited for the first time on Thursday 2nd June.We ordered at 1300 and accepted the warning given of a 30 minute wait.At 1340 we were told that one of the dishes was not available, so an alternative was selected. The food eventually arrived at 1350. Unfortunately one of our family was taking a lunch break from work. Good food not happy with the service.

The staff are very friendly and the pub has plenty of room ,always room to sit and enjoy the beer and atmosphere , the locals are friendly and they have just updated the menu . Unfortunately it's not to my liking its ok and the food is always edible . It's cheap and cheerful and the beers cold so for a cheap dinner on a week day it's worth a go but unfortunately I'm going to try elsewhere

I along with two dear friends of mine, stumbled across this eateree of a Sunday evening, maybe too late for any impeccable service or food for that matter. The opening of our short stay, was fine, served at bar, then moved quickly on to our 'un-clean' table, I placed our food order shortly after some self cleaning of said table, and it was greeted by probably the most unhappy (but incredibly tall), manager, who reluctantly accepted such order. Food very average, boarding cold, which ironically sums up the temperature of the pub itself, I was very conscious of this gentleman's need to rush things through, get us served, get us out, and close the place for the evening, all this at the late late time of 20:32 !!! We, as a group, now we have thored out, (it was very cold in there you must understand ), will try not to bother these people again with our miss placed business. If you are planning a trip to this not so acceptable eateree, may I suggest two weeks advance training, a week each, split on the eating of stuff from the I'm a celebrity bush tucker trials, followed shortly by a weeks stay in an igloo.

I class this pub as my 'local', although I live in Hethersett 5 miles away. Much prefer this to either of the Hethersett pubs as it's child friendly AND has Sky/BT Sports. Also, very welcoming and unpretentious too, which is great. Always a nice feel to the place.There's a big screen and a few smaller ones, and also 2 x 4 people booths with their own little TVs in too ... Ideal for eating and watching football undisturbed.Locals are very friendly (good mixed crowd), with many different teams being supported, so always good banter available. Saw Spurs win yesterday and Arsenal lose (28/2/16). Great day!The food has always been good in here too, with a wide variety of specials on offer and at very reasonable prices. You can get a 'Season Ticket' discount card for 10% off when certain matches are on, taking Strongbow down to less that £3. Pub has a pool table, darts board and and outside area for eating too at the front and down the side of the pub.

Visited The Robert Kett based on an app that said they would have BT Sport for the Arsenal vs Barcelona match (which they did with a couple of large screens and also other smaller ones for anyone similarly interested). Quick service at the bar with a good selection. Can't comment on the food as had eaten elsewhere but smelt good and looked to be of the cheerful pile it high variety.

The pub is large and spacious, generally with adequate seating. Plays a lot of sports on tv, with sky and bt available, decent size screens, and booths with smaller tv's in them.Drinks are pretty well priced,not as cheap as a spoons, but probably the best in Wymondham. The food is general "pub-grub", nothing spectacular, but good value for money, and good for a relatively cheap evening out.Staff are great, friendly etc etc. Would recommend.

We come here all the time with friends for Sunday lunch or evening meal. We can bring our kids and they are always welcome. The food is good and very reasonably priced.

thought I'd treat the son to a steak lunch .... tables sticky, barmaid a bit curt (but as she was the only one serving behind bar), food service slow to come out of kitchen (lady bussing was very nice and apologised), radio station too loud. Not an enjoyable lunchtime experience, which is a shame as had been in a year ago and a much nicer environment. There were several large tables (so no doubt kitchen busy but not full pelt) - friends, older and younger groups and mums with tots no-one needed the music up so loud save it for night time drinking crowd.

My favorite place to go for drinks in Wymondham. Is the closest we have to a Wetherspoons type pub we have. Good selection of drinks and decent prices. Show Football, has a few individual booths that have their own telly, which is a great idea. Food is decent, similar standard to Wetherspoons. Good burgers.

This is great place for families to dine, staff are helpful, always smiling :) and prices are normal. Highly recommended

my partner and I have been here a few times now as it ideal for a bit of football watching for him and some wine time for me! The food is very good and very reasonably priced. Also a nice place to take the whole family for a meal.

Visited today with my cousins, Aunt & Uncle as they go in a bit to this pub quite a bit.Food was excellent and definitely has good deals on all week, great value for money. Will definitely visit again

Family Sunday lunch. Food is good value for money, and the service was attentive so you were not left with empty plates or glasses.

We have visited here many times and went in April as part of a group of 10 on a busy Sunday lunchtime and had a great meal.However we visited on May 4th at 1 o'clock and it has really gone downhill. We ordered our food at 1.13 pm and had to wait nearly an hour. There was a group of nine and another couple waiting for their food, so they were hardly busy. A waitress went past saying is everybody happy, without waiting to hear anybody's answer. My mum started to say no we weren't, but she just wasn't interested in actually listening. We asked about the food and were told they only had one chef and a trainee on and it was being cooked.When it finally came out they had got my meal completely wrong, bringing out a meat lasagne when I had ordered a vegetarian meal. After about five minutes they brought out my Mexican Salsa Pepper salad, but the salsa was barely lukewarm. I took it back to the bar and they brought a fresh meal out but this time the filling was still lukewarm and the peppers were not even cooked and were raw and crunchy. I was fed up by this time and asked for a refund ,the first time I have ever asked to do this anywhere as I don't normally complain. The other meals were fine although the portions seem a bit smaller.They said we could have two free deserts as we had waited so long, although the waiter said we had been warned of a 45 minute wait and we said we hadn't as we would have gone elsewhere.He replied he had asked the bar staff to tell customers this.We got one desert brought out and had to wait about ten minutes for the other two to be served. We actually left the premises at 3pm so it took an hour and three quarters to be served two courses. I think for a Bank Holiday they were seriously under staffed in the kitchen.We have been here plenty of times before but I'm not sure I really feel like going back again.

We went for a family birthday meal last night, (20 of us including babies, toddlers and children). Good service and food, nothing to much bother for them. Good value food, most of us had all different meals and a good choice of kids meals. Well worth a visit.

I booked a table for 16 people when arriving I needed to add 4 more on to make it to 20. The staff where fantastic and added another table onto the end. We ordered all of our food in batches and paid separately but all for one table. Every meal came out fantastic no one had to sit and wait for there's to arrive so we all got to eat together. The meals portions were a great size and defiantly worth the money - 6 adults meals plus 3 kids meals included with a drink and desert for the kids meal came to £52 and it was lovely. I would recommend The Robert Kett to all my friends and family and will be returning!!

Last went to this local pub with a group of friends(couples) and had a great experience, a decent real ale on tap and food was excellent in both quality and quantity. Ok, it was a couple of years ago and we normally use Wetherspoon but decided to use this local establishment for a change, what a disappointment and now understand why many locals no longer eat here. Since the landlord/franchisee has changed, the quality has gone down, the presentation was just as poor and the staff didn't know what offers were applicable when they were queried having been overcharged. Was this just a bad day? As the tables were mostly empty I suspect not. When we raised the issue of poor quality of our meals, the other half's was left, no apology or attempt at redress was made. Does nothing for the image of Greene King either. We won't be eating or drinking here again

We had a lovely meal here on a Wednesday lunchtime. They now have a new Landlord, who is a trained chef and he told us he had got the Kitchen staff to improve the meals. He was friendly and chatty but not too in your face.My mum had Lasagne, my husband had Cod and chips, my Auntie and I had two meals for £8.49. I had Cauliflower cheese pie, jacket potato and salad and she had a cooked breakfast. Our portions were huge. Sadly we were too full for dessert as they do a lovely Mint Aero Sundae.We all enjoyed our food, even my Auntie who is notoriously hard too please.The décor is nice and the toilets were clean.Will definitely go back.

took the family for meal there, ordered a medium rare sirloin steak it came out well done and wasn't the best steak I had, seems more micowaved food not much bettter than weatherspoons ,which is shame as local pub for us, wont be going there again

Came for a meal as a large group, next to us were a roudy bunch of youngsters getting drunk. There were families in here, their behavior was unacceptable however they continued to be served and were not challenged on thee behavior in the pub!! This is only 8pm in the evening. If I was a parent this would put me off bringing my children

Pub is local to us so we do pop in at least once a month to eat. Would use more, but the vegetarian choice is extremely limited.Food is generally good, as is the service.We went in tonight and ordered food. A good 15 minutes later we were informed that there were no jacket potatoes, a couple of minutes later we were informed that they had one. Over 5 minutes later we were informed that there were no potato wedges, although I was offered chips or hash browns (I don't like hash browns, and find their chips tasteless).So nearly 25 minutes after ordering we ended cancelling the whole order as there was no other suitable vegetarian option. Not what you want to do at 8.00 pm on a Friday night.Apparently due to the pub being busy (and they were very busy), the kitchen staff hadn't informed the bar staff that there were no potatoes, so our order had been put through.Better organisation and communication is needed.

Used the pub for the first time and enjoyed a very generous sized and tasty Sunday Roast at an excellent price. Good friendly service, did not have to wait too long. As an earlier reviewer said it is a bit like a Weatherspoons, tables numbered and order at the bar system. Would happily go there again!

Nine of us came here for a birthday meal on a Saturday lunchtime. We all ordered something different.The food was served fairly quickly and looked very nice. My son and brother had ordered a Giant Plate Special and they were huge. We all enjoyed our meals.The desserts are lovely, especially the Mint Sundae, made with crushed up mint aero.Their prices seemed good value and the portion sizes were generous, even the children's ones.The toilets were really clean and the decor was nice in the main area. All the staff were polite and friendly.

We booked a table and arrived promptly for Sunday lunch. We were told that we would have to wait an hour for our food which we agreed to do. After an hour, two of our party got their food but ours did not arrive. When we checked, ours had not been cooked so we had to wait a further 20 minutes. Understaffed. Food was good though.

I was on a course nearby and this pub was walking distance. Typical of a 'branded' pub in the decor and set up and not much atmosphere on a normal weekday but the food was fab and really reasonable. I had steak two nights in a row - cooked to perfection along with a perfectly cooked egg (rare find these days) The second night there was football on so a few more people which was a bit better. They have several screens, dartboard and pool table. Best pub food I've had in a long time, staff were really nice too.

Basic pub, very reminiscent of a Wetherspoon's. Good priced food and drink, quality of both is good and recommended. Good to visit with friends or family. I think we are perhaps using it a bit too much! ;)
