The Riverside in Lambeth

A really lovely pub on the edge of the Thames with a very welcoming team. The pub quiz on a Wednesday is good fun, and the host is great!

Really great setting, but left feeling rather disappointed. Disjointed service and the food for the price was just ok. Sorry 1665, but based on my visit, I am unlikely to be coming back.

The Riverside is a great location to meet, close to Vauxhall tube/rail with views over the river. Light and spacious interior with a varied menu. Food was very good and excellent coffee. Service for the drinks could have been quicker.

Had a team day at The riverside and they couldn't have been more helpful. Nice food, lots of biscuits and dirt drinks. Thank you!

It was a pleasant lunch and subsequent afternoon. Staff were very friendly. We had a lovely man serving us. Slight confusion about where we wanted to sit, but this was quick let rectified.

Tafsir who served us was amazing. We’d gone to Victoria to eat only all the restaurants were extremely noisy. Myself and my friend are hard of hearing so we took the tube to Vauxhall and this was the nearest restaurant. Tafsir cleared a table for us in a secluded spot usually used by staff. He also dealt with the music speaker nearest to us. The food was very good and we had a wonderful evening without having to strain to hear one another. Thank you Tafsir, you were brilliant!

Went to this restaurant for drinks and dinner with some friends and was very disappointed. It was too hot and crowded outside so we sat indoors where only a couple of tables were occupied. The food was awful - the ham hock terrine was absolutely tasteless and didn't look like anything similar a terrine; the meat platter consisted of tasteless pork sausages and rolls, insipid chicken wings, Coppa that was hard & dry and pieces of bread that tasted old and stale. The Camembert was overly melted, so much so that it looked weirdly watery.. and it was served with more of that awful bread. The burgers were okay-ish but sloppily assembled and messy to eat. To define this place as being a 'gastropub' is an insult to gastronomy. The food and drink prices are quite high considering that this is not a fine dining establishment and the quality of the food is less than mediocre. The service was good, but the staff at the bar kept dropping trays/plates and the noise was quite annoying. No apologies offered for the constant disturbance. The toilets were extremely dirty and not properly maintained - makes one seriously question the overall hygiene standards. In short, a very bad experience, not to be repeated ever again.

Great venue for drinks by the river. We booked an outside table. The menu choice was good and food was lovely with good sized portions. The drinks are reasonably priced and automatically given a wine bucket without the need to ask. We found the service was good with friendly staff. Recommended for drinks and food after work. Has a relaxed atmosphere.

All the team were very friendly and welcoming who took care of us each time we visit and recognise us upon each arrival. Special thanks to Alex and Matt & the team who exceeded as per usual. Thank you all once again for looking after us. We will be back.

Love this pub. Very nice view across the river from outside and in. Always lots of staff walking around and interacting with guests gives a very nice relaxed feel. Food is pub like but good quality and fresh.

Poped in around 4pm with my family 3 daughters under the age of 4 years old the youngest being a few months old. Me and partner noticed the barmen taking pictures of our daughters, when I challenged him he denied it so I asked him to show me his phone, he then said sorry and went on to his phone and said he will delete the pictures.. I removed myself and my family from the pub as we was heart broken and angry with what he did.. I called up head office who said they would call us back and never did. I went back to the pub to speak to the manager with someone from the gym I train at and the manager said the barmen comes from a nice family and he knows him very well but would not sack him but just give him a telling off... What is the barmen doing taking pictures from his personal phone behind the bar of toddlers and a baby? He is breaching data protection act. We do not know him personally so its no good the manager saying other wise to us he is a good man.. We did not give him permission to take pictures of our daughters while he was working.. I have the video recording outside in public of the conversation with the manager which is disgusting and shameful that little action will be taken.. If you have any children please be careful 🙏 if you visit this pub.. I will be putting this out on social media if this can not be looked in to and shaming the barmen in question on my social media platforms I have... I will wait until I speak to head office in the morning as this has caused us as a family feeling depressed, worried and unsafe with the actions this barmen has done.. This is the start of pedophiles behaviour..

What a treat. The location, service and food were brilliant. We were kept well-informed about any changes to the menu. The delivery and quality of the food was very timely and delicious.

A really nice pub with a river view, plenty of space, with outdoor areas too, great selection of gins and food was fabulous. Staff really friendly and helpful a very nice ambiance.

Accommodated our large booking at extremely short notice. Our international guests were impressed with the food and service.

We had a wonderful time there. Not just the tastier dinner, also the fabulous effort from the service side. Especially I remember one guy Who knew their King (someone called that) but when I asked his name he said, Sreejith. He helped with my order according to my taste and his suggestion went well.

While i just walking near through the riverside view of vauxhall i noticed this pub The Riverside. Their interior was really lovely, so in my opinion, this is a better spot to unwind for a little while. On the inside, though, everything was superb. They have good meals and a calm, relaxing atmosphere. Sreejith, the barman, the managers was likewise incredibly nice and amiable. Crucially, its budget was also extremely reasonable. So people who like to visit vauxhall don't forget to visit this bar as well.

Hidden gem next to the river with great views. Service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this place

Maraine handled my group booking really well. Lovely communication and great service for my birthday event for 30 people. Despite the on off tube strike were very flexible. Great space. Everyone loved the venue, the location and service and got several compliments to come back. Thank you, wish you the best and will come back.

My mother and I booked a dinner reservation at this restaurant for New Year's Eve, anticipating a memorable evening especially as she was coming to visit from Peru. Unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. Despite making reservations well in advance, we were denied the promised view of the fireworks from our seated area. The handling of our belongings and seating arrangements after dinner left us in a discomforting situation, with our reserved table occupied upon our return. The management's response to our concerns was inadequate, lacking the customer service quality one would expect, especially considering the time and +£200 invested in the booking. I hope the restaurant addresses these issues to provide a better experience for future customers.

Worst Christmas dinner I have ever had in my life. Totally ruined our Christmas . Scallops the size of a pea. Raw potatoes and sprouts and they conveniently “forgot “ to take my deposit off. Truly awful

Riverside Pub is a hidden gem! Delicious drinks overlooking the Thames at Vauxhall Bridge. There's no better vibe. Ideal location for a laid-back evening with friends. Prepare to be astounded by their cocktails and the riverside breeze. Nice view a few sights on the Thames (including battersea power station)

Nice setting on the river. Really disappointed that the menu couldn’t really cater for someone gluten free. The initial waiter wasn’t clear what gluten free meant, so got someone else who was really helpful - I was just astounded that there was no indication of what was gluten free on the menu (instead I was given a large ring binder to cross reference it myself), there were only a couple of main courses that didn’t contain gluten, there was no possibility of substitutes like gluten free bread…. even the mashed potato had gluten in! I understand how hard it is to cater for all dietary requirements - I’m just surprised that where there were dishes that you would imagine were naturally gluten free, they were not.

We had come to London for a family funeral and it had been arranged to come to this bar after the church service . The location is good right by the river . The finger food provided was actually very good . The best thing about this bar was actually the staff , they were all very friendly and efficient ( not something I’ve seen in some pubs I’ve visited in London ) overall worth a visit

I live in Kingston, but visited The Riverside for the first time in August when I met up with a friend who lives in Vauxhall. The location on the river was stunning, the food was good value, especially for London, and everything we ordered was very tasty. When in September I needed to meet friends who were over in London from Australia, I could think of no better place than The Riverside. This time we sat indoors in the restaurant area. My friends were impressed with the venue, and the food was excellent yet again. I can highly recommend the fish and chips and who knew that Australians would love mushy peas, even though they did not quite understand the concept of them, LOL. Both times we had excellent service and I send my thanks and appreciation to Simoné and his team. I will definitely be back soon.

Lovely view with great food and good customer service but a bit slow. I will come back soon and for sure recommend this places.

Miraine and her team were excellent, the food was fantastic and the atmosphere was great, staff were all really and it is so spacious inside and outside with a dream view of the Thames River

I cannot recommend the Riverside Vauxhall more highly. I booked the Green Room as the venue to host my fiance's 30th birthday party which was perfect. Miraine went above and beyond helping me to set up all the decorations and help bring the cake in as a surprise. As a group, we enjoyed both food and drink throughout the evening. All of which was greatly enjoyed and the service from all the team was fantastic. We will certainly look forward to coming back again. Thank you again for making his birthday so special!

Called in here for an evening meal on a sunny evening as we were staying nearby. Lovely place on the riverside with two large terraces. Friendly staff, good food and drink and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended!

Booked the Riverside for my Wife’s 40th Birthday having never been before. It turned out to be a perfect venue with great food and brilliant service. Would definitely recommend for anyone to go especially for the location too.

Back to a place we’ve been to before. Great setting and decor and space inside is great. Mixed experience with the good - the prawn salad starter was a real let down with a small handful of the most smallest prawns, which lacked any flavour. Other starters and main courses were great tasting and well cooked.

Very hospitable. Accomodated 7 of us very well and were flexible in then allowing those that wanted to to eat.

The positives: - Great location - Serving staff were very attentive and helpful - Food was good The negatives: - Only one meat option for Sunday Roast (Beef) - Various levels of cooking of beef were ordered by different people but they were all the same when they turned up (medium well) - I know it's London, but £5.25 for a medium sized bottle of water is pushing it!
