Vine aquí para el almuerzo de Pascua como se recomendó. La comida definitivamente no decepcionó. El mejor asado que he comido. Fue una pena que el servicio fuera horrible. Sentimos que todo el tiempo el servicio que estábamos recibiendo era muy inferior a otros allí. Sin adornos en nuestra comida (no es importante, pero sentar un precedente para el resto de nuestra experiencia) , en segundo lugar, las placas calientes abrasadoras simplemente se pusieron en la mesa sin avisar del calor. Mis amigas se hincharon la mano. Teniendo en cuenta que tenía 2 hijos conmigo esto podría haberse evitado mediante una advertencia del personal grosero. Tuvimos nuestros 3 cursos y no nos quedamos por ahí, pero el personal parecía muy dispuesto a deshacerse de nosotros. Después de nuestros desiertos en cuestión de segundos nos preguntaron "¿quieres que te traiga la cuenta?", etiqueta simple para simplemente no hacer eso. Habríamos pedido nuestra factura 5 minutos más tarde, así que nos hizo sentir más incómodos. Una vez más una verdadera lástima sobre el servicio, ya que si coincidía con la calidad de la comida sería un fácil 5 estrellas.

Decepcionado, solía ser una comida encantadora, la hamburguesa de carne de hoy no tenía sabor, no tenía condimento, rollo seco, la ensalada de col era amarga, esto fue rechazado por los miembros de la familia también. Caro para la comida promedio. No volverá de nuevo.

Llegó la comida bocado ligero de comida y bingo, comida y bebida muy caro especialmente £ 3. 50 por un robo cordial y de agua sin embargo Scarlett el servidor fue genial

Celebré mi 60 cumpleaños aquí anoche con 15 de mi familia. Lee y todo el equipo estaban muy contentos de ayudar, organizó una parte separada para una mesa grande que era encantador. La comida era increíble, el servicio era excelente y el ambiente era perfecto.

Fuimos para el almuerzo del domingo y nos decepcionó mucho en la cantidad y calidad de dos pequeñas patatas asadas y verduras cocidas se podía pagar extra por un almuerzo de domingo de tamaño adecuado que es un extra de £ 4. 50 gire este lugar para evitar la decepción es una estafa.

Mmmmmm never got salt n pepper on table - always have to ask for it so when busy your meals going cold by time you get it. Manu has changed and is now a standard pub menu. Definitely changed recently

Absolutely fantastic service from Danny today. Very friendly and helpful and the food was gorgeous! Thanks so much for a lovely meal!

Me and my partner and our families have been a few times and have always found the staff so so friendly and welcoming! The food has been amazing each time! I also can't fault the changing facilities - so clean!!! I don't dread having to use it like some other places! Makes coming out with a young baby a lot less stressful. Also made sure we were at a larger table so we had room for the pram which was so helpful.

Over priced food & extremely poor/slow service. Online menu is better than actual restaurant menu. Went to celebrate a birthday but left feeling disappointed. Soft drinks extremely over inflated. Will not be returning.

Excellent food , staff and chef. Adapted food to be gluten and dairy free. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good drink options. Atmosphere chilled, not too busy. Pricey but worth it.

Fantastic food and wonderful staff we are never disappointed. Lovely atmosphere and nothing too much trouble it is very family friendly.

Food great. Drinks too expensive to visit often which is a shame. Will go and have one drink and eat then go elsewhere for drinks unfortunately

Amazing Sunday lunch with all the trimmings. Good wine selection too. Staff very attentive, Amanda was lovely. Decorated well and comfy seating.

Where do I start !!!!! The girls attitude working behind the bar is absolutely disgusting !!!! When approached I was asked what when I asked for a drink sje said the bell had been rung so your not getting anything the look and attitude she gave was discussing and think she need to work on customer service skills the girl was young with blonde hair

Mother’s Day treat ,9 adults four children . Main course was ok but extras we ordered to go with roast never came out and we had to ask twice . When they finally did , most roasts had been finished so we had cauliflower cheese a plenty asked for condiments and again waited and waited . May I add this was a four o’clock sitting so restaurant had emptied out . . No one came to clear the table so after 40 minutes and with having four children we moved them ourselves onto another table . We waited for dessert and in the end had to go looking for staff and ask for it we then waited another 30 min so well over an hour . This is the reason for the review . We said to the female manager that the experience had not been good and went on to explain the above HER ATTITUDE WAS UNPROFESSIONAL AND EXTREMELY RUDE . Never have we been spoken to like that in a restaurant no apology . Told it was our fault for not asking for desert we said we would have someone had came to clear the table or ask if everything was ok or if we wanted more drinks . Standard stuff . She spoilt the whole experience and we have frequented here many times over the years and we’re left very disappointed. When desserts finally came the crumble was tinned peaches with a bit of crumb on top , awful , the brownie was basically a dry chocolate sponge and sticky pudding was cold . The bill was over £300 and we never got given a glass of Prosecco which was advertised . Maybe we had to pour that ourselves from behind the bar ! ! I hope the manager reads this and works on her people skills and how to talk to customers . I must add the cauliflower cheeses were taken off the bill as most were not eaten anyway . I must also add that the young waiting on staff are a credit to the pub and are professional , polite and very friendly . My mum has been very sick and this was her first outing in a while just very disappointed. Have eaten here many times and if it 2-4 people it’s fine , large parties not so . We were desperate to all book for Xmas but after this experience no way ! Especially because of the rude manager .

Wow the new menu does not disappoint, visited 6/3/24 and can’t fault anything , we didn’t have a reservation but was seated in no time by Zoe , our server was Danny (lovely to see him back) , I chose The Hake , it was delicious and the presentation was lovely , my friends all had different meals and all agreed the food was fantastic, well done Martin the chef 👏🏼

Family reunion and wanted to stay local. First visit to Eagle and Child, first day of their new menu and every meal was beautiful. Fish and chips, club sandwich, pie and mash and chicken curry, all so tasty. Ella and Danny were our servers today and couldn’t have been friendlier or more efficient making sure we enjoyed every minute of our visit. 5 meals, 3 alcoholic and 3 non alcoholic drinks £98 and worth every penny!! We’ll be back again soon.

An impromptu family gathering was catered for with a new menu, expertly described by Alice. One of our group, who will remain nameless, was very precise about what she wanted for main course and dessert and nothing was a problem for Alice, she was happy to check with the kitchen and all requests were met. The food was delivered promptly and was delicious. Would recommend the seafood linguini and the crispy chilli beef both new to the menu. We took our time and there was no pressure to leave. The price was very affordable. My only bit of advice would be to take some cash, you can’t add a tip to the card payment and the waiting team certainly work hard to please and deserve a good tip.

omg out of this world. Fantastic. We have been a couple of times now for dinner and may I say . The food is exceptional. Fresh. Delicious. And affordable. As for a pub snack it's great. The restaurant however is absolutely fantastic got to take my hat off to the chef. We first met Amanda and she was soooo helpful and curtious. You don't get that these days. Love the place . Cannot knock it it's lovely. The staff are so pleasant it's just nice to go out for a drink or a meal and be treated with such compassion 😊 ❤️. We will defo be returning very soon .

Mi novio y yo visitamos para tomar una copa después del té. Cuando llegamos, había gente enferma afuera, niños corriendo en el interior, cubiertos, servilletas y menús dejados en todas partes con mesas sin limpiar por todas partes. Cuando fui a pedir algunas bebidas y postres del bar, el desinteresado personal del bar me dijo que era demasiado tarde y continué parado allí, mientras que todo el lugar estaba completamente desordenado.Nos fuimos inmediatamente y definitivamente no volveremos.Vergüenza.
