Perfect for a winter’s day, lovely fire and cosy atmosphere. Didn’t try the food but great choice of wine and some fun Halloween decorations.

Great sausage and great fish finger sandwiches. The Whitstable Bay beer was also very nice

I went to restoration again today with my mum and dad I just thought I would come back to this place because it was only few places that wasn't too busy There I had a english breakfast and it was very tasty I had eggs and hash browns and other things to go with my english breakfast I had a cup of tea this time not a hot chocolate this time because I needed a change from having a hot chocolate all the time The staff that work there are very kind I think my manners when one of your staff bought my cup of tea were very kind because I said thank you to your staff for bringing over my cup of tea I think one of the kindest customers you have ever had in your pub so far I like how this place seems dog friendly which is very lovely to hear The service here is very good and also the food is very good as well I think enjoyed coming to this place I glad I tried this place out in the first place First for my first time and also my second time as well I am so happy that this place wasn't too busy like life on high was and basel I like your seats because they are so comfy I can see why people liked coming to this place Great service Clean tables Great food Comfy seats This place gets 5 out of 5 star rating Enjoy reading my second google review Also have a lovely rest of your day Enjoy your sunday as well Thank you for making both of my experiences at this place so lovely I am so happy how kind all your staff were to me and my family ever since we first started trying out this place

We like this pub a lot, but for us the big draw is the fish and chips. This is about the best I have eaten anywhere in the UK, let alone Sevenoaks. Friendly and attentive staff too.

The continued popularity of the Restoration feels like a mystery until you consider other options in Sevenoaks town centre. Stripped pine, chalkboards, All Bar One vibe. The real ale has always been poor - badly kept? - I'd stick to kegged beers. Super-expensive. Go the the Chequers.

Perfect brunch pub. They also serve a mean chicken and bacon club. Good selection of beers. Dog friendly. Perfect.

A lovley pub in Sevenoaks. Went for Christmas drinks with a special friend. The atmosphere was electric and service good and fast.

My wife,myself and our grownup daughter had lunch here a couple of days ago. The pub used to be called 'The Black Boy' which my wife and I used when we were courting 55 years ago. Price's have changed since then but first impression on walking in ,was it was like a pub should be. Basic furniture, spacious and welcoming. I found the menu a pleasant change from the usual pub menu, a little quirky which was good. I had Welsh Rarebit, my wife and daughter had Ploughman's sandwich. They were brilliantly presented and adequate. The rest of the menu was interesting and made a good change from the usual pub menus.

We had an event here at lunchtime on a busy Saturday afternoon. The food was excellent. The staff were friendly and the fire created a lovely atmosphere. We will be back.

Great atmosphere, lots of dogs, which is always a plus in my opinion, shame the ran out of food so early.

Lovely landlord and great food. Wish the council parking nearby was a bit cheaper, but don't let this put you off - well worth a visit!

Great outdoors if the weather is good. Outdoors is on pedestrian lane in the centre of Sevenoaks . Many breakfast options and reasonably priced.

Lovely place with excellent outdoor seating, in the quiet pedestrian heart of Sevenoaks Town Centre.

Good atmosphere but food service was very slow with no warning it was over 45min wait and when it arrived it was not as hot as you would expect.

Nice boozer with some history that serves a variety of beers.

2023 June. Just had a beer. First time I have been in this pub/restaurant. Disappointed they do not sell Spitfire bitter. Had a pint of Creekside which was a first for me, not strong so a good session beer £5.15 a pint, quite a nice flavour. Good seating area outside. Hate it when the bar staff drop empty bottles into their inside bottle repository, not sure they uderstand how this can adversely affect people with hearing issues.

Outside is nice and service was good. Food was nice pub food, maybe lack some gluten free options

Nice little pub but we did not stay for longer than 5 minutes this time as they were not offering food on the bank holiday Monday. Two other groups also came in asking about food whilst we were there, the pub would've been a lot busier if they had some sandwiches or some small plates available.

Nice small pub, good drinks and ales on tap.

An area of the pub was sectioned off for us to hold a family get-together for 20. The finger buffet was good and we had a lovely afternoon - thanks to all the staff.

First time we have been here. Was nice and clean with great staff. Bonus for us is they let dogs in. Will pop in again when in Sevenoaks.

Staff were nice and pleasant. The pub had quite a relaxed atmosphere almost like a coffee shop rather than a pub. Lots of tables outside although I think these are shared with the businesses adjoining the pub. The Guinness was excellent as was the Late Red (Shepherd Neame)

Deliciuos fried squids. Good ptesentation. Good service!

Probably my favourite pub in the vicinity of the high street. Nice to sit outdoors on a hot day and sink beer or two at lunchtime before going back to the office for a snooze. Serve Spitfire lager which I like. Haven eaten here but food looks good and colleagues have enjoyed it. A little pricey but it's not unusual for Sevenoaks.

I ordered a steak&ale pie . Mash potatoes and cabbage. I was greeted with a bowl ! With a little potatoes and the same with the cabbage For £12.95 . Staff were very pleasant. Sad to say I won't be back . For the amount money for something that's small .

Amazing ! A few places we went weren’t doing the menu or didn’t have vegan options but was for the best As we stumbled by this treasure :) The burger was 10/10 as were the chips and onion rings Would 100% return and recommend Clean and polite Good coffee … :) happy full people

Nice comfortable bar and friendly efficient staff. I had a pint of real ale and my wife had an excellent house red wine. We also had a lunchtime snack. Definitely recommend this establishment.

The staff are fabulous. Clean tables and chairs. Plenty of seating inside and out. They make the best fish finger sandwiches and their chips are the best. Not salty, and just the right side of crispy ❤️. Worth it. 👍🏿

Neck oil on tap in the sun. Enough said. Apparently the Warners Rhurbhab gin was good too.

Used to be called black boys. It's a steady pub. Bar staff are very friendly. Nice variety on the taps. I would recommend this and the chequers if visiting Sevenoaks.

Nice atmosphere, but overpriced and the food I ordered (the poached egg and mushrooms on toast) was very small and bland, plus the egg was hard boiled and the toast was burnt. Wouldn’t come here again tbh!

Nice little pub in the town centre, staff are lovely. It was very quite when we visited so service was very fast. Breakfast was yummy and they put the beans in their own pot without asking!

Great beer and friendly service as usual! Shame about Shepherd Neame's craven owners changing the establishment's proper, original name from The Black Boy though, to the rather daft moniker it wears now, which has no history and means absolutely nothing! Especially since yards from the pub there is a plaque proclaiming the history of black people in the area from late mediaeval times! But if you want to be woke you have to live in Dreamland,eh, S&N? Get real and "restore" the pub's name! The pub will still be going when the wokeRATi are yesterday's passing fad, like love beads and kaftans!

The restoration is a great place for meeting up socially. Gary and his staff are very warm and welcoming and the atmosphere is very friendly. Great having outdoor seating especially in the summer. Will definitely visit again Vikky Lowe

First pint in a very long time and it was special. Cold outside, but special.

Managed to get a table sitting outside by the blossom trees to enjoy a sandwich and a coffee. Reasonable prices and good service. Clean toilets which is always important 😆. I would definitely recommend if you're local.

We were welcomed by the manger Chelsey on arrival with a smile! Makes a nice change for a Sevenoaks public house. The service was excellent with health and hygiene clearly a priority. Overall a really lovely lunch sat by the fire. Look forward to my next visit.

Very friendly staff. Breakfast was minimal but good. Wifi was excellent. 4 stars because my seat was a curved cushioned seat but the back had a rubbish beading detail that dug in your back! Would go again but maybe sit in a different seat! 😁

The black boy is instantly noticeable when the sun shines in Seven Oaks square. There is a flood of folks sitting comfortably drink in hand watching as the people pass by. This Shepherd Neame Pub offers a brunch style menu; in tune with its sibling The Oak Tavern the menu is suited to complement the beverages, filling a gap. Lovely pub, svelte interior and friendly staff. A great place to relax when the weather is bright, beautiful & brilliant.

Great pub in the centre of SevenOaks beers good and there seems to be plenty of choice for food but as yet I've not eaten there.

We went for a private function with a free bar so can't comment on prices but the decor is lovely, the staff were friendly and really hard working and the buffet food that came out was of a really high quality and very tasty so I imagine the day to day food is just as good. Would definetly recommend. The only slight downside is there's no car park due to its location but there are plenty of local car parks nearby (top tip for free parking on a Sunday is to park in the council library car park just a few minutes walk away)
