The Regent in Leeds

Utilizó esta pescadería durante años y quedó devastada cuando los entonces propietarios se retiraron. Bueno, se reabrió en enero de 2025. Lo intenté. Eso fue hace 5 semanas. Qué placer. Pedimos nuestro habitual pescado especial bien hecho con patatas fritas y una salchicha rebozada. Y lo pedí envuelto en papel. Fantastic. El pescado se cocina a la perfección con una masa crujiente y ligera. Las patatas fritas son crujientes por fuera y esponjosas por dentro. Personal amable que hace todo lo posible para hacer su pedido especial. Cocinado fresco a la orden al entrar en la tienda. Qué tienda tan grande es esta. Le deseamos lo mejor para el futuro. Nos vemos la semana que viene.

Nos encantó saber que la mejor tienda de Fish & Chip en Yorkshire había escapado al cierre recientemente cuando los propietarios anteriores se retiraron. Después de haber utilizado este establecimiento durante más de 60 años esperábamos que se hubieran mantenido los estándares. ¡No nos decepcionaron! Una bienvenida encantadora fue seguida por un servicio rápido y nuestras órdenes fueron cocinadas recién. ¡Mezcla ligera crujiente, pescado fresco sabroso y patatas fritas fantásticas! Comida de los Dioses! Deseamos a los nuevos propietarios mucho éxito en el futuro. Justo lo que nuestro pueblo necesitaba. Gracias.

Best Fish and Chips in Horsforth by a long way. You may have to wait as it's all freshly cooked but definitely worth it

Regularly get fish and chips or a chip butty here and it's always excellent. Staff are always pleasant and chippy is clean.

Fancied Fish and chips for lunch,decided to try this place for the first time as I was working in the area. I ordered a "pensioners special",even though I'm not one,just had an extremely hard paper round as a kid!.Lovely young lady serving. Fish was nice,crispy batter.Small portion of chips was enough for me. Not the best,but by no means the worst I've had.Would go again.

What a good fish and chip shop! Staff are very friendly and accommodating. There is comprehensive information on the walls telling you where the potatoes came from, what ship caught the fish etc. Lovely home made fish pies and a wide variety of seafoods available. Ten out of ten!

I have always rated this place highly, and was a regular when I worked in Horsforth. We popped by last weekend after a gap of maybe a year. How excellent to see that the incredibly high standard has been maintained. Crisp batter, pure white and flaky Haddock, wonderful as always. My wife had chips which were crisp and properly cooked, whilst I went for a fishcake..... delightful. If you have never had a Yorkshire fishcake (2 slices of potato with a generous slice of Haddock between) , you must try one from here. Probably the best in Leeds, or anywhere else!

We came all the way from Australia to have Yorkshire fish and chips! Well not quite but we loved them.

Food is always really good. BUT service leaves a lot to be desired. Robotic comes to mind, as the girl behind the counter slowly droned about.

The regent has been serving my family for many years. The quality of the fish and chips is outstanding- we wouldn’t go anywhere else!!! Top Notch!!!

The best chippee in Horsforth. Never disappoints have been a regular customer for years. Staff very friendly too as they usually know their customers.

Great little chippy this is. It's tucked away out of sight from most places, but they cook all the fish freshly and i've never had any problems, have been here dozens of times. Always nice chips, not the usual soggy squishy rubbish some places serve up - the fryer here knows how to cook the things properly. Great selection of drinks also.
