Staff members stood around doing nothing. Music so loud I had to shout my order. Prices are too high for such small portions. Not worth another visit in my opinion

The food is great quality but their fishcakes ARE NOT chip shop standard! Why must they insist on those supermarket variety fish cakes!?

Chips were good but they don't do vegan fish which they say they have online.

I’ve been in Leeds for five months now, and this is by far the worst food (got the mixed wrap) I’ve ever had in my entire life. It’s shocking how bad something can be—completely tasteless and lacking any flavor.

The food was not fresh. The chips were reheated and the fishcake was not as advertised. It was just a frozen deep fried fishcake, like the ones from the supermarket. There are far better takeaway options in the area.

I had an amazing experience with the fish and chips here! The fish was incredibly fresh with a perfectly crisp, golden batter. The chips were deliciously fluffy on the inside and had just the right amount of crunch. The portion size was generous, and the side of tartar sauce added a tangy touch. Service was quick and friendly, and for the price, it was fantastic value. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

Ordered mix special shawarma & chips. Shawarma was cold, didn’t have the decency to at least warm the meat - yes it’s closing time. Chips with gravy was a nice touch. Won’t be coming back here again, unless for fish & chips.

Honestamente, el mejor pescado con papas fritas que he comido. Relación crujiente y suficiente masa a pescado. Las papas fritas todavía tenían la sensación de “chip” pero no eran robustas y grasientas. No me sentí como sh** después también. Pronto será un habitual! ¡Wow!

College student here. I'd absolutely recommend the chicken shawarma and the donor. Absolutely banging and worth every penny. Great for a "can't think of an option that's good for value" food. Lovely people always greets us boys and always happy to converse.

Really tasty chicken nuggets and chips, best thing after a few drinks. My partner also loved the shawarma wrap.

me and my friend came late last night and the service was so good. he politely took our order and the chips tasted so so so nice. it was really affordable too - normally we have issues with chips being friend in beef oil but this place was halal friendly & they were very kind.

My 3rd or 4th time visiting and each time has gotten progressively worse. The first was quite good so I was encouraged to go back a couple more times. Today, the chips were a mixture of well overcooked and raw potato. Have only had chips and sides from the menu so I can't comment on the rest of the food but today's experience has ensured I won't be be going back.

Chips were luke warm and tasted like yesterday's warmed up. Horrible. At 6pm on a Saturday, there is no excuse for this.

If you have any kind of allergen especially gluten I would absolutely avoid ordering from here at all costs. I ordered this online for takeaway. Despite the website stating gluten free options were available upon request, my experience was terrible. I added into the special instructions requesting gluten free and if they could please mark which one was gluten free, as I was ordering one for me (GF) and one for my partner (who isn’t gluten free). Additionally I called the restaurant who didn’t pick up for almost 20 minutes and when spoken to we’re seemingly clueless about gluten free, but proceeded to say yeah gluten free. I had already paid at this point so had to wait and see, and to no surprise upon arrival both products looked identical and neither had writing to indicate gluten free. My partner tried both products to which he confirmed it was regular batter as suspected and to make matters worse it was also terrible so he couldn’t even enjoy them. Rating this place 0 stars would be ideal but unfortunately that’s not possible.

Visited for the first time today and had the chicken nuggets & chips. If I'm being honest it was the best I've had in a while, so much flavour! Staff were friendly as well and they offer a 10% student discount making it great value for money. Unfortunately due to allergies I'm unable to try the fish, but I'm sure it's excellent as well!

went for the vegan fish and chips as it says they do it on their menu online but when I came it wasn’t on the menu. thought I’d ask anyway and they said they don’t do it, so I just got some chips. Chips were nice but it’s a bit cheeky to not have properly updated the website, when based on other reviews you haven’t offered the vegan fish and chips for months. Disappointing.

Amazing takeaway, good quality food for low prices compared to others in the area! Food was very quick to be served and steaming hot. Should be added to the otley run as the music and vibes in this chippy was better than the pubs themselves 😂

I wish I'd known the server was going to stick his finger in his ear before serving my butty, also wish I'd seen the cockroach which decided to run across the counter before I had paid. Batter on Fish non existent, TBH fish was quite nice.

I asked for a vegan fish butty 5 times and I got a regular fish butty. It was very tasty but it wasn't what I ordered.

The “tofish” was disappointing, I was expecting battered tofu at least but it’s just plain unseasoned fried tofu that were dry from frozen. I do not recommend the tofish. The chips were fine, and the mushy peas I found were very unseasoned but I added salt to it so it was fine.

Only went in for some chips and a drink but the gentleman who served me was very kind and the food was great. Very clean, a decent amount of space to sit down and eat. I'd recommend a visit.

food is really good, but customer service is absoutley brilliant! We ordered through deliveroo (quite late), and our first driver took our food. The restaurant kept ringing me to keep me updated. They ended up remaking our food and senidng it out, even though this was after their closing time. really appreciated and once the food arrived, it was so so tasty!

I ordered off deliveroo, they just have been busy but the battered sausage came burnt , sauces are nice . And fish and chips were OVERLY greasy , I still ate it but like it wasent wow amazing , it was standard still give it ago, but maybe catches them at wrong time

I have to say this is my new FAVOURITE fish and chip shop in Leeds. Has to be the best place by a country mile and you can tell the owner, along with its staff actually care about what food is being served to its customers. Went in yesterday and ordered some Halloumi fries, Battered chip butty with cheese and curry sauce and a sausage butty. The owner mentioned he can fully batter the sausage butty and I was intrigued so went for it. Was not disappointed by anything that was served, everything was freshly cooked and delicious to the last bite.

Can’t remember the last time I had such amazing fish and chips! Outstanding. Best chippy in the North!

Well I do enjoy my weekly fish and chips and must admit that this place is now my number 1 choice going forward. They fry to order, making sure everything is fresh and you can tell the difference. In my eyes this is the best fish and chip shop in Leeds and they do an awesome sausage butty too. I even saw them frying a battered chip butty infront of my own eyes, it looked amazing.

Referral from a friend claiming it to be ‘the best chippy I’ve had’, he wasn’t wrong. Ordered the fish with a scallop tea cake, and got a few chips and tub of gravy in there for free! All clean tasting and seriously above par, also doesn’t leave you with a sickly feeling that most fish and chip shops do so I second it as the best chippy I’ve had. The guy who served me was brilliant, can tell he’s invested in the shop with the way he spoke to the customer, and about the food. Will be returning!

They look perfect and taste perfect. The fish was very big, incredible value for money for a large at £7.95 with chips. Friendly, helpful and passionate team of people running this place. Excellent tasting fish and chips from a very clean and professional establishment. Great choice on the menu and discount is also available for nhs staff. The branding is great and I can tell the owners take the business very seriously. From those who don’t know the legendary Stan works here!
