The Cove is one of Horsforths best fish and chip shop, upon entering the place you’re greeted by friendly staff and a clean setting. Their menu has a wide variety of food options as well as a large seating area should you wish to eat in. I’ve been going to the Cove for years even so when it was in Otley too! It’s good fish and chips which is always hot and really fresh! I’d recommend anyone to try it here before going to Kirby’s or Hartley’s further afield!

Driver had an attitude with me because his sat nav took him to the wrong address, saying no-ones in. when i explained he is at the wrong address as i was outside he didn't like the fact that he made the error.

Order from here quite a lot but this time im disappointed, some of the chips are not cooked in the middle and fish is soggy with no taste:( really disappointed

Best fish and chips had in a long time

Picked up fish, chips and peas for 'tea' from here as our usual Fish Shop was closed. We weren't disappointed - the fish especially was superb - white and flakey. Will definitely be using The Cove again.

Called in for chips and curry sauce never been there before. They didnt tell me they had small chips, till i saw it on board so asked to change from regular to small. Took my chips and curry sauce, got home chips awful scrappy opened my curry sauce and they had given me peas. How hard is it to work in a fish and chip shop

Best fish and chips I've had from a chippy. The only let down was the fried halloumi HOWEVER absolutely everything else was outstanding to the point this place 100% still deserves a 5 star review.

I have gone there for the past 3 years and they haven't dwindled even out the other side of covid best fish and chip shop in leeds in my opinion!

The driver had a bad attitude. if he spoke to me nicely be careful the bag going to rip, I would give him tip, but no and keep putting up thumbs up to many times , 👍👍👍👍.

Wednesday is a good day for Fish n Chips. Had the meal deal with mushy peas and dandelion and burdock. Very fresh, good size fish in light, crispy batter. Lovely!

Think had another delivery too. Hence delay, on tracking seemed long way from me although I used to be able to run up tinshill lane to me in ten minutes on foot. Took driver much longer from Horsforth town street to just off tinshill lane less than a mile. Delivery driver polite. Food yummy.

Thought I would try this chippy after hearing good reports about it and I have to say it was better than expected. Large portion of well cooked crispy battered fish and plenty of chips, peas and curry sauce were very tasty. Will be going back very soon for more.

My sister in law uses the Cove regularly and as had never been, brought us 2 Haddock ,1 chips and large mushy peas. What a delight, best Haddock I have ever had. Chips , not usual my thing, were lovely, tasty and crisp. Def give this thec5 stars as she said the staff are lovely to.

Absolutely lovely fish and chips! They also do a poached fish which is perfect when you're wanting something a little healthier and tastes delightful! Highly recommend!

We have moved here from London in early August and have been to Cove four times already. The fish is simply delicious, large and beautifully made every time and the chips are very generously heaped on. We love it. Prices went up October 1st for obvious reasons but it's absolutely still worth it and the quality means that we don't care, we will support Cove going forwards in return for great food. Staff are all very professional and courteous as well.

Lovely large fish in crispy batter, very good serving of very nice chips with scraps supplied in a separate bag. Portion size was excellent and both the fish and the chips were tasty – very enjoyable meal and would not hesitate to recommend. It was also interesting to see that they are serving Greek food, such as tzatziki, Greek salad with home grown kalamata olive oil, calamari & battered mushrooms with tzatziki and fried haloumi, maybe we will try next time? Visited 6th Aug 2022

Besides the marvellous taste the the food is handed over just as they come out of the fryer so is piping hot.Delivery service is useful too.

Expensive for the portion size! A lot of chips but small fish even though medium were ordered - so disappointed. Service was good & the food was freshly cooked so maybe we were just unlucky.

The fish and chips were excellent. Perfectly cooked fillets, light and crispy batter and a hefty portion of chips. I highly recommend getting the curry sauce on the side. Incredible flavours! The service was efficient and friendly, and the shop was spotlessly clean.

Tried the Greek salad for the first time, won't be the last. It was superb, full of flavour and not full of lettuce. If you've not tried it well worth having a change.

The Cove have got the covid system sorted, order by phone pick them up, almost better than pre covid times, turning up and having to wait for them to be cooked.

Been coming to the Cove for years. Today’s experience will be the last time! The fish smelt off the chips were horrible.zI threw the whole lot out for the foxes to eat. Will not be eating from the Cove again. Rubbish !!

Scampi & chips ordered today. Sold as 'Scampi x10' however, he thought I wouldn't notice that he only fried 9. Well I did notice! If he had said something and apologised I would not be here leaving this review but because he thought I wouldn't notice, here I am. Very poor customer service

Just tried their Greek Specials. The battered calamari, so light and tender as were the battered mushrooms, really tasty and complimented by the tzaziki. The feta used in the salad was the best I've tasted and the olives were too.
