The Redmore Inn in Lichfield

Came for our daughters 40th Birthday. The staff were brilliant. Some lovely touches. Birthday banner on the table, Birthday card from the staff and brought out a small cake for her. The food was lovely really filling and really well priced. Can't find fault with any of it. We will defo be back.

Went for a last minute lunch with my Partner who goes there regularly for a pint or two. Ordered two meals on £12 offer meal & drink. My partner had a alternative drink that was not in the deal, I had a white wine included. We paid the bill and extra for drink not in deal. Whilst eating meal, as not thought about it before I paid asked if I could have the other drink my partner didn't have the waitress brought drink over to table and I was informed that would have to pay for this, as bill had already been paid, when I went to pay I queried this and was told that we were asked when we ordered what drink wanted, very disappointed with attitude partner drinks there often and spends regularly and they can't give you a glass of wine that is part of the deal because you didn't order first. Needless to say won't be spending anything there again.

Went to my grandson’s 18th birthday meal. The food was awful I ordered a mixed grill I couldn’t order normal chips as they only do skinned chips which I hate.. so ordered some mushrooms instead thought it would be ok. Nope mushrooms were in herbs or tasted of herbs. I ordered medium steak it was cold and bloody, gammon was salty so gave it to my partner along with the steak. Sausage was raw and tasted funny. Peas was hard like bullets. So ended up with eating the egg. The only redeeming part was the thunderstorm which knocked the lights out for a while. So nope wouldn’t go there ever again they need a better chef that cooks proper food. I came home and threw up that’s how bad it was… my son had had a burger that was greasy but eat it because he was hungry his girlfriend should of had sausage and chips which baked beans she ended up with sausage and mash with beans she complained and got a dish of chips . But over all honestly nasty horrible food.

What a lovely country pub, food was amazing, we had Sunday lunch & everything was cooked perfectly. Massive thank you to the waiting on staff who were attentive, professional & always had a smile.

Had a meal here; If you like lasagne for a price and the quality less of Aldi’s frozen, with just a side of salad; this is your place. The meats more ground and bland as a tinned base with a garnish of a little extra cheese & herbs. The curry; also bland served with a dry naan. Never will eat here again. Felt too embarrassed to have to return both meals. Will never return.

Great atmosphere & the serving staff were very efficient. But when our meals arrived we were disappointed at the size of the portions for the price. Also we ordered garlic bread as extra, which was no more than a pizza base which was so hard we couldn’t eat it. We decided not to eat a pudding as we thought they might also be small for the price and to top it off when we got the bill we were overcharged for 3 drinks we didn’t have . Very disappointing.

A good menu with lots of interesting options. The Staff were so friendly and the service was excellent. Our dogs were made welcome. The lunch special offer is very good value for money. We will definitely be back. Proximity to Gentleshaw Common is a wonderful added bonus.

Booked a table for Xmas Eve lunch . Four adults and Two children. The staff were welcoming , food was fabulous ( traditional Sunday lunch ) . Couldn’t fault it . Your staff are amazing . Don’t change anything it’s working . 👍

The Redmore Inn has significantly improved over the last two years. Their food and service have always been great previously, but unfortunately, today, the food quality was very disappointing. I'm a big red meat eater and know and cook meat very well and must say the chef does not have a clue to properly cook a steak and the beef roast was inedible tough. But also the quality of meat being served was bad. We have looked forward to our an unnual family pre-Chritmas Fayre dinner but was unfortunately spoiled by the poor mains. The staters and deserts were good, and as always, the staff is friendly, helpful, and always smiling. But I can't recommend their festive menu as I just can not justify the cost against the poor quality mains we had tonight.

We arrived late afternoon last Friday, and found that several other diners had had the same idea. We were seated in the pleasant conservatory. I ordered a pie while my wife ordered chicken schnitzel. Both were good, and my only criticism was that the carrots on my plate were almost raw.

For over a year the redmore has delivered outstanding meals of the highest quality In the last months have visited twice and on each occasion one meal was cold When staff noticed the meal was replaced but only the cold item warmed up - the rest had cooled Very disappointing and not what is expected - have chefs changed ?

Went on a lunch time, we were met by a cheerful chap doing a bit of maintenance work, we were seated in the nice light conservatory, we ordered drinks, they came within a couple of minutes, then we ordered the meals twenty minutes later they were served piping hot, excellent meal and reasonably priced. Will be going again.

Visited on a Friday evening Lovely little pub but has ideas bigger than the venue and no infrastructure to pull it off. Very small car park which forces cars to park dangerously opposite a bad high-speed junction. Cars parked on pavement safe blocking access to pedestrians, pushchairs and wheelchair users, major accident waiting to happen. Watched several people drink driving too such a shame as it could be great with a bigger car park and customers not DD.

Called in today to meet family ( including 2 children ) for Fathers Day drinks . However we then decided to eat . Only food served today was Fathers day Sunday lunch £24.95 and kids menu. Well the lunch was fabulous. Great choice ….starters 👍 main course 👍desert 👍. We all had different starters which were all very tasty and cooked perfectly. Mains we all opted for the slow cooked pork belly . Couldn’t fault it. Absolutely melt in the mouth delicious! We had desert too ……🙈. Thank you Redmore , you were exceptionally busy , but attentive and the food was perfect. We all had a fabulous afternoon …..even though it poured with rain ☔️…😂😂

Popped in for lunch on Monday and was greeted straight away by Grace who was so friendly and accommodating. Fabulous food, we chose the street food starters and they were amazing £22 for 4, they were all delicious and plentiful. Will definitely be back can’t praise the staff highly enough

Extremely friendly and efficient staff, couldn't be more helpful. 3 constantly changing real ales, all in good nick. Food quality is very good. Lovely location. Live music most Saturdays in marquee. Plenty of outside seating too. Well worth a visit.

We didn't book and arrived for a Sunday lunch at peak time. We were politely welcomed and they managed to squeeze us in somehow. The table service was very good all throughout our visit and a big thank you girls for working so hard to maintain a high standard for everyone there. The roast beef Sunday lunch was very good as well, tender beef and plenty of properly prepared and served vegetables etc. to accompany. The steak and ale 'homemade' pie was also very good, the meat clearly having been slow cooked and marinated before filling the pastry casing. There is a good sized car park here and an area for drinkers only, we noticed that dogs were welcome as well. Real ales are served here too. Overall we were very satisfied and will return again. Called in for a coffee as I had a dog and thought we'd have to sit outside. Staff extremely welcoming - us and labrador Rodney! Gave us a table tucked away and we stayed for lunch. Beautiful pub and SO CLEAN!!! I was super impressed. Food was excellent.

People waiting in the bar area to be served, no social distancing in place. Table and chairs in the restaurant area hadn’t been cleaned from the previous customers. With regards to the food, steak was nicely cooked. Gravy that came with the pie was so thick it couldn’t be poured from the jug. We used the Eat Out deal, definitely wouldn’t have been worth full price. Food average, overall experience disappointing.

Having just moved house we were in need of a good meal out. This place is spot on. Lovely friendly welcome. Tomato soup start was gorgeous served with warm bread. Pie and mash, husband said the gravy was best he had at a meal out. Stilton and mushroom burger , really meaty burger and the Stilton sauce was tasty with out being overpowering.Son had the chicken burger, it was a monsterDaughter had cheesy beans on toast, she was so pleased to see this on a menu. I visited this restaurant with my friend. On entering the bar we were ignored for quite a while. The service at the bar was quite abrupt and unwelcoming.The waitress brought the food which looked so uninviting, she said mind the plate it's hot, no it was freezing cold. The food was awful and had quite obviously been standing around for ages then just microwaved to within an inch of its life.We were offered desserts but when we ordered we were told there was only crumble. My friend ordered this, it was a massive portion on arriving at the table, however it was again microwaved apple with what appeared to be muesli cereal thrown on top.Needless to say we would not return.

Absolutely atrocious. Worst meal I have ever had. Processed food and rubbish service. Sunday lunch will never be the same. Scarred for life. Will never attempt to go out for Sunday lunch again. Booked in for Sunday lunchI’ve not been to this pub for over 20 years. Was not disappointed gorgeous Sunday lunch with lashings of gravy served by friendly, helpful staff. The meal was piping hot and even though we were told there would be a slight delay as there was a large party in at the same time, we hardly waited at all. Staff were very attentive. Was no room for desert as we were absolutely stuffed!! Will be visiting again soon

Absolutly disgusted with punch taverns for getting rid of the best manageress this pub has had , sally has totally turned this pub around and made it a pleasure to visit and put it back to a local fun pub she has worked so very hard every day xnas was brilliant in here , locals will be gutted and punch should be ashamed , certainly there loss !

I have been a regular at this pub for many years and love the place. Just lately this pub has been the best I’ve ever seen it. The staff are really friendly happy and very helpful. The manageress has been the best it’s ever had. The place is buzzing. Everyone in the local area are buzzing about it. We call every week to see what’s going on. To which brings me to the sad news that punch taverns are getting rid of her!!! Why??? The worst decision that had ever been made I feel and everyone else feels. Burntwood is an old fashioned village and hard to get around people here, they still have old fashioned values so the changes that are being made will harm the pub not make it strive which it is doing under the current manageress. Why change what’s working? My only issue with this pub and the only failings is the food is way over priced!!!! Shame on you punch taverns for putting your failings onto this manageress it’s disgusting!! Getting her and the staff to plough there hard work in over Christmas then you do this!!!! Disgusting

Love this pub, food is spot on now they have a great new enthusiast chef Jake. Sally, who is the heart and soul of the pub looks after everyone, nothing is too much trouble. Sally has turned this pub around in the last few months, making it the best pub in Burntwood. However after all the hard work Sally has done, Punch Taverns have yet again given it to someone else, shame on you!! Sally has been used and let down big time!

Visited the Redmore Inn the other day for a meal with my family, have been coming here a very long time and have seen the pub go through many holders. Sally was amazing she made the pub so homely and welcoming and most definitely built it up to a standard you can’t ignore. I visited the redmore inn today for a family meal the food was fantastic and brilliant service I come to this pub quite regularly and have seen many changes over the years sally the manageress has turned the pub around in the time she has been here and made the pub go from strength to strength absolutely disgusted to find she is being replaced in a matter of weeks after all the hard work that she has put in to making the redmore inn a popular place to be once again after previous management had run the place into the ground . The pub will not be the same it is a great shame and punch taverns you should be ashamed of yourselves for treating this lady the way you have after she has worked so hard to build up this business

If I could award higher i would amazing Christmas blues so decided to have a last blow out ordered the sirloin steak pepper sauce and garlic mushrooms. Wow amazing flavours cooked to perfection steak melted like butter. Waitress was ace so attentive I don’t normally give to much praise but tonight these guys deserve it 100%

Booked in for Christmas Day with the family. We are a large booking so we don’t expect everything to always be perfect. We arrived 15 minutes before our table was booked for so we could get drinks and get the children and Great Grandparents in and settled. We were told we could wait in the bar area and we would be called through when our table would be ready. We must of sat for a good 30 minutes after our table should of been ready before we were told we could go to our table. It’s Christmas Day you expect it to be slightly behind schedule so we sat down and shortly after our starters arrived. I had the Camembert which was lovely and my children had the pigs in dipping sauce which they loved. My niece opted for the garlic bread off of the children’s menu and when It came out it was black. I wouldn’t of even dared sending it out to a table but they did and she couldn’t eat it so had to have half of her dads Camembert. Mains came after a while and it was so disappointing the stuffing was black one side and completely over cooked you couldn’t even cut into it, the carrots and sprouts were also hard, and the turkey wasn’t great either. So disappointed in it all. My niece again opted for the burger off of the children’s menu and it tasted awful. I felt so sorry for her none of her meal was nice. When the puddings came we were so disappointed and cold (the room was freezing cold, so much so my Nan was dithering and had to be wrapped up in my fur coat) we just wanted to leave as soon as possible. The desserts weren’t impressive in the slightest the chocolate box was tasteless and the Christmas pudding tasted of cardboard. It’s such a shame this is the 5th year in a row we have come out as a family and this is the first year I feel it has been spoilt by the restaurant choice. None of my family are complainers so we left without saying anything. However I do feel even if I had of said anything it would of fallen on deaf ears because the lady behind the bar clearly wasn’t interested. It’s was such a shame because I’ve alway heard such good things about the Redmore, hopefully it was just the stress of it being Christmas Day that ruined it for them.

Booked a table of 5 for Christmas Day dinner. Arrived and the table was prepared and waiting for us. Crackers were fab, not cheap and nasty. Food came out well presented and on time, All nice and hot and lots to eat. Very pleased with the service and staff were very friendly, would recommend and will deffo return.

Booked table 2 weeks in advance,not that we needed to as place was empty, and now we no why. Gf options were none existant as you carnt class plain chicken breast and some side salad as a main meal. Avoid the fish and chips unless you want overcooked batter. We didnt stop for dessert as we just couldnt face it. Other than this the place does have an overall nice feel to it. But steep price for a poor meal out, wont return and wont recommend.

Popped in on the way back from a walk with our dog. Bar is dog friendly. We had a Sunday lunch followed by sticky toffee pudding and it was all absolutely delicious. All completely fresh and real home cooked food, it was that good we have booked for Boxing Day, highly recommend.

Booked a table fortnight before and they said can cater for gluten free meals, there was no option ordered hunters chicken as stated GF on their dietary board came out minus chips so ended up having a piece of chicken with a few salad leaves, was not even offered any substitute for chips eg jot potato or mash would have been a better gesture especially when they knew in plenty of time to prepare Will not be returning

Well they’re as expected, according to a Jamie B on Tripadvisor, best place for lunch....yeah, if you don’t mind Ting Ting food, seems like most is or has been in the microwave at some stage, guess i won’t be following what other food places “Jamie B” went to, avoid

We went friday for the live entertainment, fantastic night Dayton Grey was on brilliant singer. We didnt eat but a lot were and food looked good. The management organised it very well. We will definatly return

Booked a table for four of us for my husband birthday, walked to the bar said we had booked a table and bar maid said take your pick because there was only one other couple at another table. We booked our main meal we had the Beef roast dinner and the Turkey dinner and burger and chips which was lovely. We then ordered two Sticky toffee puddings and two other puddings, then someone else was sent to our table to say we could have Knickerbocker glorys because they had no Sticky toffee puddings, so we cancelled the pudding and couldn't believe they had ran out of pudding at 2 o clock in the afternoon. So we drank up and left disappointed.

Been past this pub a number of times. Today we actually called in. Good size level car park and easy access to the pub. Friendly staff. We sat in the dining area, which is actually a conservatory giving a light and airy feel to the surroundings. The lunch menu is not the biggest I`ve seen, but an ample choice of dishes, together with a selection of light bites. A selection of real ales completed the choice. Food ordered, we enjoyed the pictures which decorated the room. Starters arrived in good time, and the southern fried chicken was delightful. Main courses followed, and again the food was well cooked and tasty. A pleasant lunch at a reasonable price. Worth the visit.

Very pleasant welcome from two young waitresses . Decor very nice and clean - roughly 10 tables in restaurant but plenty of room between tables. Arrived for Sunday Lunch approx 1.15pm and ordered starters and main courses which you do at the bar. Starters arrived hot and were presented loverly on the plates...mains arrived on WARM plates (!always a good sign). Generous portions of tasty food again well presented ....we ordered additional sides with our main (eyes bigger than belly). Small selection if desserts to round off a very enjoyable lunch. Having lived for many years in the area , it was our 1st time at the redmore - it won't be our last. Thoroughly impressed.

Was busy at home so just ordered 4 take away Sunday roasts well what can i say beautiful and so tasty also packaged brilliantly quality was a good as any sit in i have had.

Went last night with husband and little girl. Dough sticks were devoured quickly for starter and the red pepper and tomato soup was delicious! Mains were also fantastic - one of the Most succulent steaks I've had.

I visited for lunch and found this gem of a country pub. Food was fantastic and the cheesecake was out of this world. Will definitely be coming again.

Because the Redmore has been refurbished and new people are in charge I thought we should give it a go. I was pleasantly surprised the food was delicious, good choices, vegetarian selection , plenty to eat (very important). and served by a very nice young man who did a great job. The desserts I thought were over priced £6 for a lemon meringue tart with cream (not value for money or the strawberry cheese cake at £5). I will definitely eat there again but skip dessert.

Me and my partner decided to go out for a meal and a few drinks we chose the redmoor has we haven’t been in years and it’s not long been taken over but what can we say great place to eat lovely food and a brilliant drinks choice and we will definitely be back!

Decided to call into the Redmore for a meal after a walk over Cannock chase. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Menu had a varied choice of food. I went for the lasagne which was very tasty, the other half had slow roasted chicken wrapped in bacon. We both enjoyed the tasty food in beautiful surroundings. The highlight of the afternoon was the best Heineken I’ve had in a long time. Will definitely be recommending the Redmore & can’t wait for our next visit

Edible but Extremely disappointing steak and ale pie will alleged thick cut chips. Chips awful not thick cut and not home made. Pie filling ok but looked like a pukkapie and not as good

My husband and myself had the 'Valentine Dinner' for two last night. The meal, staff and wine were excellent. The two course meal for two, including a bottle of wine (excellent merlot, although six wines to chose from) was £30.00, which for the quality of food and service was fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Had lunch at the Redmore today. The food was excellent, especially the lamb kofta kebab. The staff were warm and friendly. Well worth a visit and we will definitely be going back to this lovely pub!

The food was amazing for the price, but portions. Can highly recommend the mushroom starter. We were served by couple of ladies Nikki and Sarah, they were very polite and made sure we enjoyed our time here. We will definitely be coming back.

Great to see the Redmore back to what it should be....a great country pub with good food and beers. Warm and friendly welcome. Can’t wait for summer to be outside with the awesome bbq area they have.

We’ve very glad that the Redmore has returned to form under the recent new management. We’ve visited several times for family meals over the past few weeks and have enjoyed lovely food and a pleasant relaxed atmosphere each time. They also have an impressive selection of beers. Can’t wait for the summer to enjoy the beer garden again – it’s a sun trap and has excellent views.

Been a few times now for Sunday dinner, and yesterday evening to eat with a very large group of friends to celebrate New Year's Eve. On each occasion we've been really happy with the food and service. The staff are really friendly, the foods good and the environment is cosy. Really pleased to have the Redmore back open and run well!

Much better since it reopened! Decent food and friendly service. The bar man even bought us a drink for New Year. This is the 2nd time we've been recently and we've enjoyed both meals. We'll definitely be coming back! 👍

Amazing food, great service, staff all friendly. Catered for a group of 27 kids and adults and couldn’t fault a thing. Happy new. We’ll definitely be back in 2019 !!!

We booked a table a week in advance for 6pm on Christmas Eve. When we arrived the barmaid informed us they'd decided to close the kitchen at 5.30pm! She got the booking diary out and I could see our name and time of booking very clearly. I pointed this out to her and she just shrugged.

We have a yearly get together every Christmas Eve. Our usual meeting place the Park Gate which now closed, incidentally quite poor too, but it was just tradition.

Service appalling, we had to ask for our table to be cleared of dirty plates. Pub needs more staff, someone didn't even know how to serve a cup of tea. This pub has gone down hill since I last went.

We had our Christmas dinner at The Redmore today and have to say it was delicious. We had a lovely time. We were looked after impeccably by Nikki and all the staff. We didn’t feel rushed which was really nice. Would definitely recommend

I came a with friends for lunch to see what it’s like now reopened. It’s nice and fresh but much like most other pubs these days, same colours and decor etc nothing original.

Under new management, ignore the negative reviews from previous ownership, pub has been cosily refurbished, friendly staff and food was excellent, will be going again 👍🏻 booked already for new year 😋😋😋😋😋
