Food and service were ok and prices reasonable, but this is very much a local boozer and customers were a little raucous. Good value.

A typical Greene King menu but served by delightful and friendly staff. The mixed grill was excellent value for money and actually defeated my husband’s appetite! The macaroni cheese was piping hot and very tasty. The bonus? Dog friendly and only a short walk from the Caravan and Motorhome site.

We went to the Red Lion last night, the pub has changed greatly over time and we were very pleasantly surprised. A friendly welcome from the bar staff followed by efficient service and a really good steak. Highly recommended.

Casey and the team were super welcoming & the refurb looks fab! The food was great and came out quickly with a friendly service - we will definitely be going back :)

Lovely pub, welcoming staff, plenty of parking. The outside area is fantastic, and it would be great to sit out there in the summer. Had a curry, and my friend had a salad. Was a lovely meal, will definitely go again and try some of the other dishes. Nice and open inside the pub too.

Great pub with friendly staff and a great selection of drinks available. Beautiful beer garden which has lights and heating so can still be used at night. I am in this pub regularly and the food is always up to a very good standard, would highly recommend the chicken katsu curry and the fish and chips! They are always cooked to perfection and generous portions aswell. The food and drink here is a great deal for money and the staff have always ensured that every visit was a pleasant one!

Great place for a pint. I come regularly for a drink and to do the Monday night quiz. Great atmosphere, good staff.

Met up with friends for some supper after work. What a lovely pub and garden! Recently reopened after a major refurbishment to a high standard, the pub garden is welcoming with lots of tables and lights, with heated booths across the lawn. Really good menu that has a good selection of favourites at reasonable prices. We had the pie and mash, a beef and ale and a mushroom, both really nice. My gluten free friend ordered the burger without the bun. All freshly cooked. We did have to wait but any food that arrived too quickly has probably visited a microwave! The new landlady made us feel very welcome. Monday night is quiz night but sitting outside, we were still able to chat. I look forward to seeing what other events will be held here. A really family, community pub!

I never felt so unwelcome in a place like this before... despite of a reasonable food, when I was ordering my food, I felt a xenophobic environment where some costumers made some not very nice comments to us. Now a days this cannot happen! It's a shame and can hurt this pub reputation! I also saw the a bar staff having a conversation saying that why the costumers bring their children into this pub. If this doesn't change more reviews like this one will happen! Thank you

First impressions, pub has been very nicely done indoors and outdoors. Staff very friendly. Sadly food was very poor- Chicken extremely overcooked and dry, no onion rings as stated on menu. Pie and mash potatoes with broccoli - the mash was very gloopy and hard to eat, possibly out of a packet and broccoli was tasteless, we think it was frozen. It just didn’t look appealing at all and not worth the money. We decided not to have dessert as poor selection but also didn’t want another disappointment. Such a shame when place looks so lovely. I would only recommend to go for a drink.

This is a lovely pub with a great atmosphere. They have made a real effort with the outdoor space. The staff are helpful. My friend ordered tacos. I ordered a jacket potato. My friend’s food came quite a while ahead of mine. When mine came it was tepid bordering stone cold. No one came to ask if everything was ok. Such a shame.

Came in for a few drinks with some friends and ended up having some food too, the pizza was amazing and so fresh. Was served by a lady called Mel who was lovely and can tell she is passionate about her job. She always looked busy doing something but was still super friendly and accommodating.

Popped in during my break at work with a few friends, all of us chose the club sandwich and it was absolutely amazing! We all loved the service and how Quickly the food came out!

What you see is what you get - a country pub that does a great traditional Sunday lunch. We were four at a table outside. Excellent home cooking with a veggie option. Good choice of desserts. Nice, friendly service too. Recommend.

Although we only live a minute’s walk from this pub, we had stopped going pre-Covid because we didn’t like the atmosphere. What a transformation has taken place...it feels warm and friendly as soon as you go in and there has been so much work done...
