Popped in for a spot of lunch with the wife. Lovely and warm and a lovely greeting from the landlord. Had burger and chips and the wife a ham and cheese toastie. Burger was gorgeous. The wife's toastie had crisps and salad and was fantastic.. very reasonable prices,and a great meal. Highly recommend, and can't wait till we pass again

So far the best place to go with childrens to have s beer garden. They have bouncy toys in the garden.

The red lion is a very nice clean pub the staff are friendly, there is a large place where you can sit outside, we enjoyed it and would recommend a visit.

Great outdoor play area for children. Also has the double decker bus available for parties. Drinks reasonable, staff could be a bit more social 🤔 Large outdoor TV under cover for sport lovers. Would go back.

Underrated house. You always feel welcomed on arrival, good selection of drinks and helpful and friendly staff. Large garden with children's play area and a double decker bus (because why not). Pool table and Jukebox. Last of a dying breed of old fashioned boozers. Would recommend again and again.

Attended a funeral of a dear friend. Staff were lovely. Smoking area available which was sheltered from wind and rain! Highly recommend*kt*x

Obviously because of Covid 19 the pub is closed. However, ingeniously the owners have set up a takeaway kiosk in the pub car park, all with social distancing. Closed on Mondays. But on other days including Sunday’s there is on offer a breakfast including just rolls if you wish or the full monty. During the afternoons there is a daily special. On Thursday they have Faggot, Mash and Peas all for £5.00. I had this it was delicious. Brought back memories of when this was a fashionable dish, when going home from the night clubs in Coventry. Definitely go back and try another dish.

Visited several times over the half term. Great evening atmosphere, came back for breakfast (Great quality and value for money) and were made to feel like part of the family. Looking forward to coming back, would highly recommend for couples and families. Thank you Sarah and Terry for being lovely hosts.

Tried our first Sunday lunch here and would thoroughly recommend it. Good choice of meats and veg, generous portions and tasty desserts all at a very reasonable price. Will definitely be going again.

Well.i stayed here with a contract in fact when i was booked in i thought it would be basic my god how wrong was i !!! Superb people fantastic food just lovely I own a farm in eire and we breed top notch beef !!but the steak and beef for sunday lunch was wonderful dont go there i want to keep this wonderful place to myself x

The new owners of the Red Lion in Hillmorton are friendly and attentive. We went for Sunday lunch with friends and were well looked after. They have worked hard to redecorate the pub and show it some well deserved love. The Sunday lunch was just like a home-cooked lunch with lots of veg and huge Yorkshire puds. And as for the chocolate brownies, they were delicious. Thank you.

We visited on Sunday for lunch and wasn't disappointe by the food and service (thank you jen) was excellent, but oh dear the place definitely needs a really good luck of paint or even a good deep clean, up in the left hand corner is an electrical socket and it is filthy,the tables didn't look very appealing and the atmosphere left a lot to be desired, would I visit again ? Only after a serious clean !

Myself and my colleagues at work decided to try the take away sunday dinner that the Red Lion does, we were not disappointed, There was plenty to eat, I had roast beef, my colleagues had roast turkey and roast pork so we all had the different meats on offer, all were delicious. There were 4 different types of veg, roast potatoes, mash potatoes and a yorkshire pudding, the gravy was lovely and thick and make with the meat juices. For only 6.95 it was a bargain and we will definitely be having this again. Thank You

My friend and myself went for breakfast on the first day that they have started serving it. We should have know what to expect when the coffee and tea was in flasks!!! I had coffee and it seriously was the worst I have ever tasted. We both had the small breakfast and as they don’t do poached eggs I had fried and my friend had scrambled. My egg arrived with no yolk visible at all and when I turned it over it was semi cooked. My sausage was large but revolting. It was like one of those sausages you get out of a jar so if you like them your ok. My friend had scrambled egg and it didn’t even look like scrambled egg. It had black burnt bits in it as if it had been cooked in a pan used for something else. The bacon was first class and the toast and beans were lovely. The mushrooms weren’t cooked properly and were tasteless. All in all it seriously was the worst breakfast I have ever had and we certainly won’t be returning. It isn’t the nicest place to be in as it seriously needs some work done to it. Our table was sticky and needed a good wipe. After we left we had to get a proper coffee to wash away the taste.

We attended a wonderful "Paint Nite" event here on Thursday 20th Sept hosted by painting perfect. Co.uk. it was great fun. The pub is lovely the new landlord and landlady are great.

Very good visit. The barmaid remembered what I had to drink when I went back to the bar, asked my name and remembered that later on. When I left she asked if I had enjoyed the visit. That's what I call a warm welcome!

Cosy village pub that serves a good Guinness, it has a really nice atmosphere and a nice beer garden for families out the back in the summer months. Adequate free car parking at the Rear for patrons as well as out front. I would heartedly recommend this establishment.

Friday after work. Service was very slow. Only one person serving(doing his best). First pint undrinkable and returned. Second pint ok but not the best (both Real Ale).
