Wow ! A friend recommended this as we like to go to out of the ordinary and unique places for breakfast . We were not disappointed . The staff were so friendly and welcoming everyone was polite and so helpful . My partner has slight mobility issues and the staff advised on the best routes around the property to avoid problems ! Everyone of the staff we met smiled and said hello We had breakfast which was amazing . Everything was cooked well and tasted lovely . The sausages and bacon were to die for !! The ambiance of the whole place was so lovely we seriously recommend this little gem and if your a gardening enthusiast we doubly recommend a visit ! Despite the weather we had a great morning ! Thank you we will be back !!

Having been recommended here by a friend we decided to go for breakfast. Wow! What an amazing experience. All the staff were very polite, friendly and helpful. A lovely member of staff showed us where to go for breakfast. The breakfast was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection and very tasty. The atmosphere and layout of the eatery was perfect. It was spacious and a little quirky which we both really like. The garden centre itself is lovely. It is easy to navigate and plenty of lovely things for both the home and garden. Will certainly be going again. Also this is somewhere that the weather doesn’t spoil it.

We visit The reading room every time we stay in Bolton by Bowland and always thoroughly enjoy our breakfast. I was just a little disappointed on our last visit as when my Eggs Benedict arrived I noticed I only had 1/2 a slice of black pudding on each of my buns. At £10 I would really have expected a whole slice on each of the 2 sides of bun. The food was excellent as it always is. I have only brought this up as constructive criticism.

Disappointing. Such a lovely setting for a sunny day but felt like we had nipped to McDonald’s and paid triple the price for it. Used to be bacon baguettes but came on a tea cake on a paper plate! Tea in paper cup with plastic long life milk. What a shame when surroundings so lovely. £21 for two teas and two bacon rolls 😳 wouldn’t have minded if served on actual plates with cutlery and cups. If it’s an environmental thing then a lot of wastage; just washing up!

My wife and I came across this quaint tea shop quite by chance, as it is on the outskirts of the village and laid back from the road behind a small cobbled forecourt. On entering we found it contained eight tables and quite busy for a Saturday afternoon. We ordered coffees and sandwiches which were made to order and absolutely delicious.I shall definitely return and tell my friends about it.Im not certain of the opening hours,so will need to check before I return.I thoroughly recommend it.

What a gem! We didn’t expect much of a menu because it said ‘Lite Bites’ on the board outside! There was a perfect choice of sandwiches, cakes, soup, ploughman’s, quiche crispy chips and more. We had a crispy goats cheese and roasted vegetable tart with chips and salad and a warm roast beef and onion bap with chips and salad. Both really yummy. That, plus two coffees came to £16. All set in a picturesque village beside the river. (A truly dreadful lunch in St Anne’s reviewed here last week, cost £18 for half the quantity and poor quality) Lovely. Highly recommend

Just called for sandwiches, both were excellent. Great service, nice chips, freshly prepared salad. Highly recommended!
