Not as good as other branches when we visited the escalators were not working and the lift broke down

One of the most dirty and unfriendly the range shop what I ever been empty shelves not working lift so if you come with baby or you on the wheelchair need to forget you can get to the first floor toilet it’s a joke,staff when you ask about product they don’t know nothing about that really not recommended

Everything from the weird to the wonderful, great place for Niknaks and big buys too.

Disappointed with this store, whilst xmas displays being organised it was very untidy and uninviting.

We went to the range to find some supplies for my daughter for college. We managed to find everything we needed with no issues. Very good value for money and good quality stationery, paper and folders. We will definitely be back again soon.

Lift was very poorly maintained and could it stuck Staff are not very helpful And the store it self could do with a painting looks rundown

Nice having a wonder road seeing all the Christmas stuff being put out got some nice pictures didn't go in for anything but spent a lot lol

COMPLAINT: THE RANGE-CLACTON Very disgusted walking into the range at Clacton today at the temperature the workers are having to work in. The range Clacton when it is summer time is like a greenhouse with no air con or even ceiling fans in attempt to cool it down. This cannot be legal, the staff are all shattered due to the heat. They were all lovely which I’m shocked at considering they must be melting. Speaking of melting. Every chocolate item in that place was liquid. You need to seriously consider buying something to cool that place down as the amount of Iceland and the range stock that is ruined from the heat is crazy. I was very disappointed I couldn’t buy chocolate to enjoy, I was even more disappointed that a lot of it must get thrown away due to being liquid. Clacton store you need to do some before we end up with staff or customers in A&E from attending your store.

Woman who has grey hair in a bun and sunglasses should be ashamed of herself. Went into the range today and a young girl behind the counter with brown hair was very pleasant. she went out of her way to help pack my bags and kept calling for help when I needed it. Have been served by that young girl before and she is always very lovely to be served by. Today tho we went inside and the older woman was asking the young girl why she had moved a trolley full of pillows from behind the desk. the young girl couldn't have been older then 18 and told her she couldn't move with it behind her. The older woman then started belittling the younger girl in front of the customers asking her why she would do that, asking her where things were. I heard the young girl say she had just come back from her break and if I heard it right it was a woman called Carol that moved the trolley not her. The older woman still started on the young girl continuing to berate her and then started laughing with a customer in front of me that she knew who asked her if she was being crabby. When it was my time to be served the young girl recognized me and was very sweet asking how I was and helping me again but she looked like she was going to start crying at any moment. I asked if she was ok and she said she was but I don't think so. Shame on that older lady. Think the staff should be taught to treat each other with respect and maybe the store will run better then usually does!

Lift broken for months.... Disabled people can't get upstairs with trolleys.

Went in today and cannot praise Becky enough for her help in selecting an air fryer and also a wardrobe rail. She seemed to be only member on shop floor but was very knowledgeable and friendly thank you so much

Cheap and cheerful but has everything you need when you need it and it convenient for me

Please, please get your lift repaired. I just about went up the escalators (they are too fast) I have a disability and then I tried but failed to use the escalators coming down! I asked a member of staff how I can get down and kindly escorted me to the fire escape (stairs) which I then struggled step by step to get down. This day and age it is not acceptable to have no provisions for the disabled or even someone with a small child!! Come on the Range no excuse to get lift repaired.

Interacted with 3 members of staff (gardening area, checkout assistant & manager) & all were polite & had time to assist me with my purchase of a bird house/feeder, which didn’t have a price/barcode on, which complicated the situation).

I often buy home decor bits from The Range and find them very reasonable priced. I have two issues with this store, one being the attitude of the staff who rarely acknowledge you and you never get a thank you at the tills. The second is the number of items not priced, I wanted some compost but of course it was not priced when I enquired at the customer service desk I was told I would have to go get the bag and take it to the till to find out the price. Not good

Brought frozen greggs food from icelands

Went to get an electric heater picked up and paid for it, and then a staff member said she would get a box, we had already asked another staff member who said no boxes left. The female staff came back to say there was no boxes left and that was a showroom heater and not to be sold ( I had already paid for it) but she brought me another heater which was nearly £10 more. I said I wasn't paying another £10. So I had to wait for a refund. That I did and took 4 days to go back into my bank. Very bad customer service from this Range store. Not happy at all.

Well stocked and good experience

Absolute fire risk and trip hazard. Everytime I go it's always the same, pallets and boxes all down the main aisle from the customer service area right to the back of the store. I went to compare paint prices and found the exact same product was £6 dearer than local competitors.

We go in most Tuesdays and Saturdays, and have met a nice crowd who we like to chat to ,great atmosphere, but needs a make over ,most times I have had to remove dirty plates from table and tables need wiping ,

Great place to find the little things you need or even big (settee) things

Huge selection of everything you need for the home and garden. Nice pet area which had everything we were looking for. This range has an upstairs area but unfortunately the disabled lift was not working and the workers told us... The lift has been broken for some time and he doesn't believe they will fix it. There were escalators, but you can't take your trolley/pushchair/wheelchair up and escalator. Large selection of art and crafts from adults to children, seasonal items were upstairs also. Iceland is in this range and has lots to choose from . The downside .... There were trolleys with big boxes on where the staff were still unpacking, I'd expect to see 1 or 2, but this was around the whole store, members of staff were moving trolleys and just leaving boxes in the aisles. I could not get the wheelchair through most aisles, my friend struggled with the trolley. The whole store is a trip hazard waiting to happen.

Great place, wide variety for all things needed. I can get decor for the house, whilst picking up a cheat dinner, get the dog treats and the kids some crafts. Not many places you can do all that in.

I love the Range, although this is probably my least favourite store of the many I’ve visited. It’s smaller than most, and therefore the variety is impacted. I have visited several times when in the area for craft supplies, and often can’t get items that I would in other stores. I’ve probably been spoiled with larger stores nearer to home though. I can’t say I’ve had any “bad” experiences here. Just nothing to particularly rave about.

The Range is a place my wife loves to have a look round

It os cheaper than others and the most important thing is that it has so many varieties of Halal food that was not not avaialable in clacton in the past

Great selection of will dog treats. Bought a mud catcher door mat that was massive for a bargain price. Very messy and untidy as a store as always. Would be easier to browse if not struggling to see what’s on offer

The store had stock in the aisles making them inaccessible for wheelchairs, the lift is often not working and needs updating, the queues for tills were incredibly long with only 2 staff on the tills and there is barely any stock in the freezers - Clacton Range do better

We wanted to buy a decorative animal for the garden. 99% of them had no prices. Lots were broken or chipped. No staff to be seen. A very untidy and unorganized store.

Spent a lot of money In the store on Saturday 11th for Christmas bits just to receive a parking fine! As a customer how the hell can you browse around the whole shop plus get in qeues at the tills on the weekend and get fined. People wonder why people shop online.

Went in looking for dining table,but not much furniture in store at the moment because Christmas stock. Grabbed few bits from Iceland that is now within The Range which is very handy👍

Huge "range" of stock, some at a very good price. Now stocking Wilko products.

We always like the Range, and get excited when they have their Christmas stuff out. But quite disappointed with the "light tunnel" Hardly any displays or lights up. But otherwise a decent store with some nice stuff for the home. Love their arts and crafts department too.

Unfortunately, my son who is 16 years of age experienced and unpleasant happening in your store, to sum the whole thing up , he was in the art section to purchase supplies for his GCSE art exam(paintbrushes and pencils). It was going well up until a worker interrupted him asking if he was above the age of 18, so he then replied no, why? The worker then proceeded to tell him that he needs to exit the store in a rude manner, my son then asked if he could continue to buy supplies as he was causing no harm. I completely agree with my son on this one as I don’t see what harm he would do with a paintbrush.But the worker proceeded to tell him that he could not purchase items from the store if he’s under the age of 18 , which is a coincidence considering he purchased from this exact store two weeks ago.. he then got followed out the store , as if he was going to harm someone .

Good Xmas display, and choice of other things. Though they never had what we wanted but it's still a go to shop.

Really good things in this shop

Once again a typical range store. Quality products at reasonable prices. Always seem short staffed, and sadly more messy than tidy, and looking through the aisles you sometimes get a little lost to where things are.

On this occasion the food was revolting nasty sticky stuff on the chicken and the chicken curry was as bad the chicken tasted rubbery got a refund and left never too return

This particular store is very sizable and well stocked. They have many seasonal goods for sale across 2 floors. There's also a cafe on the upper floor. There is plenty of free parking, including disabled parking spaces and parent and child parking spaces, too. Please be aware that at the time of writing this, there's a 90 minute maximum parking time

The Range is a great shop . Adding Iceland is a good idea, but it would have been good if you could have used your Iceland card in this store. It's doesn't warn you until you are at the till and paying. . As like me, I like to save money on this card for times when I am away and save me money.

Having to wait ages in line,not enough people on tills

Just driving past and decided to stop. Busy decorating and need of a few ideas. A good selection of items and a fair price. Worthy of a visit

Great place to buy household items, craft bits, pet supplies! If your looking for something, look there first. Only disappointment is they no longer have a haberdashery section or cafe.

Great for house stuff, picked up a 2 seater sofa throw and two cushions . They have a good selection and variety of different products available. Didn't go upstairs so can't comment, the food section looks quite good downstairs. Would recommend going 👍
