I’m having a large break and a water coming in at £10.75 including drink Comes with 2 sausages 2 bacon 2 hash brown egg beans and toast I have asked for bacon to be well done And brought a bottle of water Staff are friendly and polite Bacon cooked to perfection looks good It’s good

Lovely position on sea front. Cheerful helpful staff. Average prices.

Busy sunny day but plenty of staff to cope. Good basic food served quickly. Even tables cleaned quickly between customers.

We just stopped for an ice cream, but other customers were getting g food, and the portions seemed to be a nice size.

Bustling, family friendly cafe adjacent to Dovercourt beaches. Good selection of hot and cold food and drinks. Outdoor playthings for the kids. Grandkids loved it!

This time I only had coffee but have stopped there before and found it very good quality and cost

Seems a nice café, we stopped by for tea and coffee and ice cream for the children. We were served quickly and politely and had no trouble finding a table outside. The food menu looked ok and may eat here next time. The children liked the coin operated moto bikes adjacent to the café. I'm not sure if they are owned by the same people.

I often pop in here during the week when I have taken a friend to one of the care homes to visit his wife. I was pleasantly surprised not only with their lovely bacon rolls and tea but by the really friendly and helpful young staff. They are a credit to the cafe.

Ice cream and drinks with a play area for the kiddies. Shame the racing cars mostly not working and the staff struggled with a large order but great spot and perfect for the kids

A lovely site with great toys etc for small kids. Friendly staff. Good for tea and an ice cream but the hot food is just edible. Hotdogs were the worst we ever had. Dry and inedible. But the play area and staff are very friendly.

Had coffee and cake in afternoon but the restaurant looks really smart as does the accommodation. Staff really nice 🤗

I ordered some drinks and the owner asked me to hand him my card. No I said you bring the machine to me. His wife then said is it one you tap? I replied yes. He will just tap it for you. I said that I am capable of tapping my own card. The owner then picked up the drinks and told me where to go. It might beThe Blue Flag Cafe but it is hardly anywhere near blu flag service.

Although this time we only had a hot chocolate when we arrived, then later a lovely ice cream. Although some have moaned about the manager, found him ok, a bit abrupt but coped with that, but not good for recommendation if he is like that. The lovely lady that works in there not sure if she is related to the owner, but is always so polite and friendly.

Kitchen staff had a real attitude problem, felt the need to come out and have a hissy fit when we chased up our delayed order, being confrontational and aggressive With an attitude like that, we will not be visiting again.

We went to BFC for lunch . Last minute decision. Great food for the price, plenty of it, couldn't finish it. Lovely service.

Portion size was minuscule especially for the price paid, My petite 3year was left hungry after her “meal”. The food was of poor quality, cheap and nasty products at jacked up prices. My chips was soggy after bathing in the watered down curry sauce, my children’s chips was hard and dry, no visible sauces available, had to go in search for it to find them hidden behind counter. Owner was unnecessarily rude not only to myself, my family (a number of times) but also witnessed him speak to his staff appallingly for various reasons. Overall the quality of our experience was abysmal.

Food was shocking chips drys butter was cake making butter sausage and bacon roll was a joke 1 sausage and one bit of bacon with no butter on roll owner a grumpy old miserable hag who's rude nothing but over priced rubbish v left still hungry becuase how awful it was needs closing down when I took the roll back for butter he put a blob on one side disgusting

What a shambles, the staff are rude, the food is a joke. Save yourself the disappointment and do not go here!

What a rude and obnoxious proprietor - had heard this but never experienced it until now! Will not be going here again. No wonder it was empty and everyone was in the cafe next door.....

Called in for drinks and ice-creams. Prices not displayed for many items. Ordered an ice cream but was told I had to have a chocolate flake which I did not want and was charged £2.50 for a soft whipped ice cream with only a cheap cone not a waffle cone and an unwanted chocolate flake. I was horrified that the young man serving was not wearing gloves and held a cone in his bare hands rather than wrapping it in a serviette. I should have returned the cone to him as although I ate the ice cream after disposing of the flake, I also threw the cone away as I was so concerned about poor hygiene standards. Would never go back there as serving staff were very unfriendly.

First time visiting the blue flag cafe and it didn't disappoint. Very clean, inside and out, toys for the children to play with, umbrellas on some of the tables outside in case you would like some shade. Staff very nice and friendly. Ice-cream beautiful as were the drinks. Would definitely recommend and will be returning. Thank you for a lovely experience x

Disgraceful place, Rude staff, couldn’t be bothered to get out of their seats to serve us, would not accommodate anything we asked them for, refused to put extra cold milk in a coffee to cool it down, No snacks, limited availability of anything to drink or eat, Vile coffee & hot chocolate, Shameful owner, DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL !!!!

The rudest staff I have ever come across. Shouted at me because I asked if had anymore slushy flavours. Hot drinks were vile would not recommend

The man in there was so rude. Told me he wished he hadn’t got up to serve me as I hadn’t decided want I wanted yet. Hot drinks were awful and got shouted at for playing in the cars which are there to place with. Everyone in there bar a girl that was serving was disgustingly rude. There is a cafe next door which is much better

Long wait for food, when not that busy. Owner was constantly coughing to the extent i nearly walked away without the food! Didnt see him wash his hands and was not wearing a mask. Even pre covid poor hygiene demonstrated! Food was basic but well cooked. He also couldnt be bothered to give me a knife and fork.

We wanted to buy some ice creams and take my son on the car ride. When serving the ice cream the man wasn’t wearing any gloves, mask or washing his hands in between serving customers or handling money, he was also coughing a lot. I wasn’t going to order anything after seeing that but my son wanted to go on a car ride there and then the man made an ice cream from my daughter without me asking so I felt obligated to buy it. He then suggested I try one and proceeded to handle the ice cream cone with his bare hands, repeatedly cough into his arm then hand me the ice cream. I said I’m sorry but I can’t buy them because he had been coughing everywhere and not washing his hands. He then got angry and told me to go elsewhere and that he doesn’t need my business. My son was so upset. Luckily we went next door to the skate rink and some lovely ladies looked after us. Apparently this isn’t the first time the man has been rude!

We had some nice food and lovely ice creams here that were reasonably priced. Nice area to sit outside and it was great that there were some toys for the kids to play with. Would gladly go back again.

We walked from Dovercourt Holiday Park along the coast and this cafe was a most welcome place to have a nice cup of coffee. Reasonably priced and very friendly staff.

The best seaside cafe. Cares a lot about his ingredients (proper cheese, meat from a butcher, ice cream flavours from America etc) which shows in the taste of the food. I always look forward to visiting.

Cafe has Covid measures in place. Lots of people enjoying ice cream. Can sit outside to eat. Toilets next door, kept nice and clean.

We had a couple of ice creams only as we had dinner booked elsewhere. But I must say the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We sat outside for a bit. Everywhere was socially distanced well. And we felt comfortable. We didn’t have to wear a mask inside as there are protective screens all around the counters. We will definitely return if we are in the area again.

I came hear today for my first visit at harwich I had hot dog and chips it was really nice and fresh I had ice-cream that was really nice to ill definitely be back at Harwich lovely place it is

This cafe was so good we took are 8 and 3 year old kids there Sunday morning the to people running it were so kind they had everything u need in the cafe great ice creams and a full menu. Great kids toys outside and a little motor bike ride which was really cheap and fun .we will be back soon guys thanks again

Typical sea front cafe. Inside and outside seating . Quite good selection of basic meals and drinks. Ice cream and sea side toys etc also sold.

I have used this cafe before but never again.Saturday 14th June ordered double egg and chips the eggs were over- fried hard yolk chips tasted of old oil.

I asked for a sandwich to take away I was given a number 20 minutes later I enquired what was the problem a woman said she had not received the order but the boy who took the order said he took it to the kitchen, The woman was very rude the place was chaotic. There was an advert for school staff apprentice was badly misspelt enough said.

very helpfull, today I went with my son and large dog, and they helped me tie dog and even gave me my phone tgat i accidently left on the table, and gave my dog an icecream...really nice staff.☆☆☆☆☆

Overpriced, dearest cafe by far in harwich/Dovercourt. Asked for teabag to by left in mug as I love my tea really strong, was told "NO! " teabag was thrown in bin. staff miserable as sin. Always empty must tell you something. Avoid like the plague. To many nice cafes in harwich/dovercourt to ever go here.

always seem open when we are around. Some loos right next door. A good cuppa served. Can also get ice creams and other cafe stuff.
