Very good service from friendly staff

We popped in for coffee and cake and as usual Costa didn't disappoint. The staff were very friendly. There was enough space for my wheelchair, even though the seats were extremely comfortable. The shop was spotless and I couldn't fault it in anyway

Good friendly service but remember it's on Frinton high Street sorry Connaught Ave. The town where traffic rules don't apply since the 20s. Visited this Friday morning and so noisy and looks like its being used as the local creche. Why do these places always have the seemingly regulation loud mouth or the one that always has its phone on speaker phone trying to sound important ? "So much for a quiet coffee"

Frinton allowed a Costas, even though there are other nicer cafes to choose from. My personal experience is, the place looks scruffy, chairs need cleaning, tables never wiped over after people have used them, toilet smells of urine, no hand washing after each customer. Cakes overpriced. £4..for dry Bakewell Tart..REALLY!...The coffee, is as normal as you will find anywhere, but, realistically, in my opinion, give the independent places a look first. Costas (Cost us )too much money..

Rude barista, spend your money at the independent coffee shops on the high street instead where you get a much nicer service.

The staff are excellent, but the cleanliness is very poor. My table where I sat was not wiped properly, so cleaned it myself. There is WiFi available, but it never works for me in there. The coffee is more expensive because it’s a franchise so I am told so the owner really needs to improve the overall service and maintenance.

Turned up just before closing. Very helpful. Great drinks and food. Staff were great with Grandson. Was only place open 17.30 Saturday.

Run but a team of disinterested children I was polite to the guy, ordered my drinks it was like I'd asked him to blend his own hands, Peach iced tea thrown together no measuring of the water for the te aso he used too munc that the ice didn't properly cool tjet drink, no lemon slice either, no thank you for my custom, in fairness the female barista who made the hot drinks was really nice/embarrassed by the surly 'Kevin' working along side her.

While in Frinton stopped for a coffee before heading home. Although busy service was good. It has a nice feel about it. Will go back when in Frinton again.

What a filthy place? Went there today 31stJanuary sat down looking forward notice some chairs with spindle backs black chairs and the back where the spindles join the chairs thick dust,I asked a passing girl server who cleans here? she said we do I said thought perhaps had a blind cleaner look at the dust. Could tell she was used to comments as said nothing walked away. Thankfully we only had a drink each. I went to the toilet disgusting paper and sanitary items on the floor water all over the floor disgrace. Will not go back there again. Plenty better in Frinton for drinks that are clean. Goodness knows who the manager is but he does not know how to manager staff that is for sure. Suprised as thought the people of Frinton had higher standards than that are available here.

I do like coming to Costa in Frinton as it's local, but it really does need a refurbishment now, as the chairs in the windows are really getting tatty and are so hard and not very appealing. The coffee was good though.

The upholstery by the door is disgraceful. It is stained with holes in the material, the floor is dirty around the edges with bits of crumbs not swept up. The staff have no personality and never give you a friendly welcome. The coffee is however ususally acceptable.

Sorry to say but on walking in tables were still full of dirty cups and trays. I moved them myself before taking seat. Tables were dirty and needed cleaning. Cafe wasn't busy so it's easy to see when someone vacates. When your staff see an empty table just clear the tables and wipe them straight after. Very simple but important hospitality and attention to a cafe. The fabric low seats to the right also very stained and dirty too so decided not to stay after tidying up for you because of how dirty it was. This was today 27/10/23. I noticed several other previous reviews with the same issues about cleanliness so it seems not to have been attended to or addressed. Apologies for the negative comment.

I thought the the service was excellent, the temperature of the coffee was spot on, we had toast with marmalade another good choice, The rest area was clean and tidy, if I could do one change I would get thicker cushions for the chairs at the tables , so to have a more comfortable seating.

Excellent coffees served in a spotlessly clean setting by friendly and attentive staff. What more could you want? A properly serviced loo perhaps? Yep, they delivered this too. This is how all Costa's should be. Well done Frinton!

Nice little costa,smelled funny but generally ok

So i went with my fiancé, on the 04th of September to Costa in the seaside town Frinton on sea. I am a regular customer at Costa in London, but the state of the shop shocked me there. The state of the toilets was particularly bad. Customer service was less than satisfactory. Cant believe how bad it was for us. I used the toilet and my fiancé stayed to collect our drinks, We ordered two chocolate fudge brownie frappes. We noticed there was an excess of the frappe made in the jug after pouring our drinks, which appeared to have been at least one maybe 2 more servings, but she proceeded to fill the jug with tap water to pour the remnants in the sink. So we thought she could sell this to another customer. What a waste! Please check cameras as we even took time. 15.10-15.20 am.Not being horrible but this is not acceptable. Please see attached picture for the state of the toilet. And this was our first visit to the place. Definitely never coming back.

I have to say I’ve been in this costa a number of times and found it quite dirty. The floor needs a good clean, the window ledges are dirty along with the wood work and rails as you walk in. Cobwebs by the window that are also dirty. The chairs are fit for the tip which are stained and dirty. I thought it would have been improved since I last came here sadly not. It needs a good clean and revamp.

This is the best Costa I have visited. It is always clean, tables are cleared quickly and the barista are very quick, efficient and consistent.

Very impressed by the service of a young man serving, I believe his name was Rob. Me and my father in law gave him some awkward orders using Vodafone rewards and he did his best to efficiently enable us to get the best deal in conjunction with bacon rolls. After my order I realised I had forgot my son's babychino and he immediately sorted it for me with a smile. Premises very clean and the young lady serving drinks very quick and efficient.

Lovely Costa and premises nicer and more cozy than a lot of Costas. We had coffee and a large hot chocolate with plant milk. Also had a Grenade bar, and one of Costa’s tiffin slices which was lovely. Very friendly and hard working young staff on New Years Day just before closing - immediately came to give our table a wipe whilst juggling a queue of people.

You always know what to expect with Costa

Not v impressed ffrankly. The hot chocolate was tepid although the staff member kindly warmed the glass mugs. The décor, traditional Cosat, in this café was dreary, dark and depressing. Time Costa adopted a more optimistic, upbeat and cheerful interior look. Coffee beans and colours are old hat now.

Only been here twice and sadly both times ended up sick for a couple days after. I'm allergic to dairy and asked for oat milk the first time and almond milk the second time - but they must not have used them. I had an allergic reaction within hours. The receipt said it was what I asked for both times so I didn't think anything of it, and both times the server said "latte with oat/almond milk". I only went back the second time thinking it was a genuine mistake but now I'm just concerned it's neglect and don't want other people to suffer the same thing. Luckily my allergies aren't as severe as my sisters, who would've ended up hospitalised. But I was still very sick and in a lot of pain. Other small things... I asked for a latte and the cup was half bubbles, not even foam - just bubbles (yes I know, super annoying complaint, I used to be a barista and these would make us eye roll because they had ordered a cappuccino, but I promise you it was a latte...) And the man who served me was really rude to an elderly customer in front of me who was confused and just politely asked a question.

Came here on Saturday, there wasn't any plant based options for my daughter but I had many other options offered to me. Staff were restocking everything which was nice to see ensuring we have more food options, especially as my dauger likes the vegan ham and cheese toastie. Happy to see an efficient team that greats customers and ensures they are equated for. My drinks were very nice.

Nice coffee but the guy who acts as manager needs to work on his people skills, visited on Saturday as i entered this chap and another colleague past me on their way to restack the sandwich chiller (100% a 2 person job) neither attempted to break their chat to greet me despite both of them walking straight towards me, they stand there idly chatting whilst very slowly putting the food into the fridge less than a minute after i reach the till he guy barks to someone out the back and sarcastically and very loudly asks "can we serve the customer please" oh he means the customer he and his colleague have just ignored, the Barista looked so shocked and embarrassed to be spoken to like this infront of other customers guy and his assistant co back to chit chatting. the Barista was friendly, efficient and polite everything this apparent supervisor wasn't.

First time sat inside a Costa. Good to be back. Pleasant service. Unfortunately still disappointing choice for gluten free. No savoury items just a small choice of snacks.

Annoyingly there was no De-Caff coffee available.

Had to clear the tablrs pitside ourselves..then noticed the surfaces where the coffee is made was very unclean needed wiping as opposed to focusing on making coffees

For anyone silly enough to pay over fourteen quid for two panini (£3.95 each) and two caffe latte, you should be able to find some comfortable seats, away from the drafty doorway, and enjoy fairly relaxed atmosphere. Can't remember what we paid for two additional cakes, but Gregg's would have offered better choice and value, just along the road. Costa is comfortable and convenient, but there are plenty of alternative options to consider in Frinton.

I’m a big fan of the coffee and selection of cakes in Costa. It’s always a good place to sit, relax and use the WiFi. I have always found this particular coffee shop to be clean and looked after. Generally speaking, I’ve had pleasant visits to this place. My only concern is that some staff members seriously lack interaction skills. If you work in the service industry, you should have acquired these skills before.

The staff are always friendly and very helpful. A great bunch of baristas work here and help me save the environment (one dolphin at a time) by encouraging use of reusable cups. The soya hot chocolate is fantastic....I never order any other drink! 10/10! Thanks Costa in Frinton.

Plenty of seating and usual drink selection available as well as newspapers and magazines. Always busy with customers.

With friends for lunchtime snacks. Plenty of other places in the town very busy but there are a number of tables available here. Always get good drinks and my hot chocolate was delicious. Food was tasty and service excellent. Well worth returning to.

Terrible, uncleared tables and dirty marks all over fabric chairs. Got caught in toilet with no toilet tissue. Dim girl behind counter hadn't heard of almond milk until her senior told her where it was, then she still used semi skimmed. Never again in Costa Frinton

Staff have a serious attitude problem and think they are something they are not. Drinks mediocre, despite charging extra for the cream on the hot chocolate they hardly put any on !

I love costas omg the coffee is so nice in hear, a little expensive but im always in there i love the cakes too. Staff are helpful and friendly. If you have never tried a costa you should go because you dont know what you are missing out on.

We came in here as a family for a drink. Pleasant enough service had a iced latte drink which was pleasant enough. Does what it says on the tin.

Always clean and tidy in here, with friendly chatty staff. Cheese scones are divine, as is the new addition of being able to coconut milk in nearly everything!!

The children said 10/10 and a 😀 so welcoming nothing to much trouble
