The Raj in Kirklees

Went with my son and cousin and we loved the food, it was delicious. The owner was funny with my son and was kind and generous.

Was the best curries around but somethings different now and also the delivery at weekends has let us down (very late) for the last couple of times. Shame.

Food was tasty. Waited had good crack. Uncle tez was happy.

Absolutely awful. Food was freezing cold when it came, warmed it up in the microwave only to then find a hair in the food. Couldn't eat it. The poppadoms which I didn't actually order, thank god! We're black and burnt to a crisp. Never again!!!!

Lovely trip to the Raj again. I really hope business picks up. The food is amazing well priced and great value for money. It used to be so difficult to get a table here but I think people haven't returned to going out after the pandemic. It would be such a shame to lose this wonderful restaurant. The car park is back open btw . Fabulous Lamb Achari and my step father had Sultaney which I'd never heard of but I had a taste and it was superb. Can't wait to go again. Only knocked a star off cos although I enjoyed chatting with the owner there was nobody else there until just before we left and another table joined.

Brilliant curry house, staff are friendly always a warm welcome and the food is great.

Full marks to The Raj Restaurant! My partner and I have used them twice now and can’t recommend them enough! My partner has lived here for 13 years and says he has finally found a place to get delicious curries delivered. His chapatis were perfect and his chicken madras was gorgeous, my lamb korma was lush, my poppadoms were lovely, fresh and crisp and I tried the lemon rice (for a change from pilau rice) and it was gorgeous. The delivery times are around an hour. Top marks, thank you The Raj Resturant :0)

Food was not nice.Took ages to deliver.Main meal really greasy and starters wrapped in foil and did not taste nice.

Got 3 different curries lamb chicken and keema to share all amazing. In my experience restaurant curries never seem to be as good when got as a takeaway, well there are from here. Can't recommend highly enough best curry I've ever had.

Banging curry's. Best I've tasted in Huddersfield. There might be an eat in charge or they may have over charged us by accident. Either way just run through what you had as there is no automated receipt service, it's all done manually. Still reasonable prices though. Competitive.

Went with the grandchildren and had a lovely meal. Staff are always friendly and happy to make mild curries for the children.

Food was adequate, service was shocking. Well over priced customer service non existent when I expressed my opinion started getting angry asking for my address

Awful . Asked for mild bhuna.was very spicy and my friends Korma was spicy too and looked disgusting. Couldn't pay by card so had to get cash from machine outside which charged me 2 pound. The curries used to be lovely. My son went the night before said it was lovely. Must have been a different chef on on the Sunday .afraid I won't be returning

Excellent; very tasteful cuisine, good menu with friendly and helpful service. Be mindful it is cash only and not licenced. The Petrol station next door sells beer, wines and spirits and now has a cash machine (although it charges for withdrawals).

Friendly family business, excellent quality of food and service. Take your own alcohol as there is no bar.

Placed an order at 6.30pm which was delivered at 8.45pm! (2hours 15 minutes). Food needed reheating and the order had items missing or incorrect. Wont be using again.

We love it here, the food, the staff just everything is perfect.

Staying in Huddersfield and fancied a curry and this was the nearest one. I enjoyed the food and there was more than enough to eat. I ask for a beer but they don't sell it but the guy said I could get some from the garage nextdoor. I wasn't that bothered so just had a coke. I would have left a bigger tip but I had run out of change.

Always enjoy a meal at The Raj. Staff friendly & welcoming. Food very good and plenty of it. Great value too.

Mixed Starter was okay main meal chicken korma was bland and chicken tikka masala was not even close to any I have ever tasted was a very strange flavour and texture. Very expensive for what you get

I'm 30 years old and I've been going here since I was about 14. The owner is a great guy, the food is lovely, and it's a nice pleasant atmosphere. I'd definitely recommend this place.

Terrible ignorant service and has that oh-so-tired vibe of any other restaurant on the decline. The toilets are disgusting and I can't help but feel the food preparation here mainly involves a microwave.

Friendly guys and great food. They will gladly spice your food up if that is your taste. You have got to try the Aloo Chana Puree.

The Raj is the best takeaway in this area, the food is excellent, staff are nice and friendly they make you feel welcomed and everything is exceptionally clean unlike some other takeaways in this area. I would highly recommend this place.

We have been several times and were totally looked after each time, great curries, even cooked me a chilli chicken which is not on the menu and rates among the best I've had in Birmingham and Coventry. They are great with kids and will do their best to make it work, prices are very reasonable as well, a great eating place. We will keep on going A+++
