Dewsbury Fisheries in Kirklees

Nice fish/ chips but cold. Driver went long way around according to tracker. He said I was his only drop, & he took the route that just-eat told him to (which no other driver from this eatery has ever done). Think he called to a shop first!

34 pounds for medium fish and chips. all 3 fishes were not medium, they were small, the curry sauce was like water and the chips the few there were, were rock hard and obviously warmup. my partner cut her gum on one of them. rang up, was spoken to rudely and aggressively and the phone slammed down. was not offered replacements or refund. Avoid!!!

I love Dewsbury fisheries because of their ultra quick delivery time. the fish and chips are always good,I wouldn't use any where else.

I ordered a sausage butty with chips. It was a sausage and chip butty but that made it better. The sausage was nice, and the texture of both the sausage and chips was good. However, there were more chips out of the butty than my system could contain.

I had ordered fish butty meal and curry sauces.I found the meals to be oil free,fresh,tasty & ample in quantity.Whereas,the owner had called in to notify that the delivery man hadn't picked up the curry sauces.So they sent a second driver to deliver them on my request.I would definitely order again from this place.

amazing food. 10/10 . However, delivery said 15-30 minutes and we ended up waiting nearly an hour and 20 mins for food to arive

1st order medium fish was big and in a box,this 3rd order medium fish much smaller and served in a very greasy paper wrap, food is great, size seems random. to give an idea 1st medium would fill 2 butties, todays medium didn't fill 1 butty.

Food was delivered on time but tasted like it had been reheated and not fresh. Chips tasted like they were frozen chips and fish was all soggy

Chips tasted burnt. Fishcake was just a battered supermarket fishcake. No bread cake with the fish & chip butty as ordered!! Not enjoyable what so ever!!

Fast delivery,hot food and the driver was very friendly and polite.

I ordered fish and chips and they arrived within 25 minutes. Piping hot and the fish was massive.

Driver phoned sounded like he had kids in the car could really hear him at first he said he was near number 32 I told him to walk down we were the end house then when he did arrive he asked for the code first time ever my food was warm not happy at all especially when I had tipped the driver.

I had the fish butty special with curry sauce didn't taste that great better options out there in Dewsbury, Batley area. I don't think I would go back again and all of it come to £9 including a drink which was not worth it.

I call here maybe once a month with mum for a sneaky fish and chips dinner .. Today the chips were exceptionally gorgeous as they were free,, the lady saw I needed food quickly due to my sugars dropping and didn't hesitate in serving me some chips in a tray and then I took my medication.. Great fish and chips ,,lovely friendly people !! And lovely and clean and you can actually sit inside to eat if the table is free... Thank you 😊

Absolutely Beautiful food once again. Well worth the wait as not had any for over 5 weeks. Cooked to perfection & plenty of it. Curry sauce was a bit thin but still tasty. Can’t fault this chippy as never had bad meal. Service time to delivery time excellent. Yeah well worth the expense as nothing wasted. Deffo recommend for a lovely meal 👍👍👍👍

The order was one and half hours late and I ended up making food so it ended up being a pointless order as I was working from home and wanted food quickly . The delivery time kept altering . It was not a good service sadly .

Usually we really like the food from here. It is always a nice quick delivery and the food is normally spot on but today it was really disappointing. Not only was the curry sauce missing from our order but all the food was fairly cold too. I'm not sure what that fish was battered in today but It was awful. It was soft and spongy like a pancake batter rather than regular fish batter and it slid off the fish. Both me and my partner had to take it off our fish as it wasn't nice at all. The chips, sausage and the chilli cheese bites were also cold, everything felt and tasted like it had been sat around for hours. I am hoping this is a one off and we will try again some other time as we do usually like the food from here but today's meal was terrible!!

We ordered fish buttys for iftaari and it was delicious. The fish is always fresh. The bread was soft and fluffy, You won't be disappointed!

Well absolutely great food again what can I say. Excellent portions great delivery service to boot. This has to be the best chippy around here if not Yorkshire (yes I do say that). Never had a problem with how it’s cooked or delivered. If you think that you’ve had good fish n chips you gotta try these they are fabulous. (No I was not paid either for this review 😂)

Food was burnt and had an after taste. Called the shop and they tried to blame it on the delivery guy and did nothing. The food was like it was old and refried. What a waste of £25, couldn't even eat the food and had to order elsewhere. Poor customer service, never again!

The sausage they used seem to be cheap low quality but when battered were nice enough to enough, very disappointed in the battered fishcakes, they were cheap manufactured ones like the orange breadcrumbed ones not the general fish fillet between 2 potato discs and battered the we know as chippy fishcakes here in Yorkshire, they need a discrimination so people are aware as if I new this I would not have wasted my money on them. A real shame as the fish and chips were actually really nice. Unfortunately this was my first time ordering and find myself pretty disappointed.

Chips were a little oily but were fine with some sauce, fish was well sized for a medium, batter was crisp and not too thick, delivery on time, delivery charge reasonable for the distance. Appreciate the specific option for haddock on the menu

Had to be warmed up. Breadcake seemed stale and chewy. Chips had a strange taste. Curry sauce was best thing of my meal.

Absolutely gorgeous food as usual. I have to say one of the best (if not THE BEST) chippy in the area. Only thing that let them down is I didn’t get the free drink offered on the meal deal. I would knock half star off for that. Food quality is always excellent as is the portion of the meals. Bit sad bout the drink but it happens sometimes. Always will recommend this chippy though.
