Stop here after walking dogs. Excellent spot to enjoy the view and have a drink. Dogs liked it too!

Superb wholefood store…. a pearl in the high street. High quality products including biodynamic veg; Fresh and tasty. Bread superb! The whole food ethos here is strong, modest and unpretentious. All the best to you.

We visit here weekly for lunch. The food is limited but excellent. We also enjoy seeing the finished painted pottery other visitors have made. Service is friendly, and it has a real community atmosphere.

The Inn has undergone a thoughtless renovation of furniture and decor. The 2024 renovation had stocked the rooms with locally made furnishings from Simon Pearce and Pompanoosuc Mills. The current attempt at mid century modern is colorblind and insulting. The decorators failed to consider The College, installing Yale Blue headboards and bedding runners. The multicolored heads in the artwork over the couch are pandering to multi culturalism while failing to recognize that all of the heads are shaped like a patrician white man. It is embarrassing. There is one cute print of Kemeny’s car with a BADIC license plate, but the rest of it is decorated like a typical Homewood Suites now. The Inn itself remains otherwise lovely. The staff are kind and welcoming, the bed is comfortable despite its ugliness, and the location at Dartmouth College (Yhe Home of The Big GREEN - not BLUE!) remains perfect.

Been here a few times now, will say the food is outstanding. However, what lacks slightly is the service and the coffee. There are a couple members of staff who do not even greet you with a smile when you walk in, and when I asked if they do tea cakes they just looked at me with a blank face and shook their head. They also did not have labels on the cakes so myself and my mum did not know what cakes they were exactly. The final thing is the coffee - hot drinks are luke warm at best. If you ask for them extra hot that solves the problem though. Twice I have ordered an iced dirty chai and both times there have been lumps of chai powder in the drink still which leaves an unpleasant taste. So, definitely worth a visit as there is a nice atmosphere and the food is lovely, they also have an outside area around the back. However, the coffee and customer service could improve slightly.
