The bouncer at the pub was a tosser who constantly felt the need to try intimidate me and my family which left us leaving

Conventional pub. Friendly service and good parking but little atmosphere.

Usually a good pub but didn't get served today, stood at bar ages , barmaid kept asking if other people wanted another , obviously needs to go to specsavers so we walked out, you just lost your manager at least £30, we'll go to knottingley club give them our custom in future.

Was there twice. A really friendly place with good beer at a great price.

Friendly atmosphere and the staff were helpful. Pretty cheap wise with drinks. smoking seated area outside. . Can be quiet some times. But has its good nights. Quite busy during the day. And is 100yds from Knottingley train station, ideal for a few before the big towns. Or good for when you get off the last train at night.

Went there after going to Leeds for a night out. its my local. your always made welcome and the bar staff are fab pop in for a pint and see for yourself.

Local pub, more for locals than random drop ins.

I had a bit of time to kill before my train left so I decided to pay a visit to the Railway Hotel for a drink. I received a warm welcome from the lady behind the bar. Although it was midday there were a few people in the pub. I was able to find a seat and enjoy my drink before starting my train journey. The pub is right next to Knottingley railway station and it has a car park. There is also a bus stop nearby and shops too. Great place for a quick pint.

Good pub deserves more customers well located beside the train station, good beers and friendly staff ... looking forward to a return visit

Brilliant pub,welcoming locals,really good choice of beers and staff very welcoming,will defo be back. Also loads of TV sports and two pool/snooker tables,didn't really notice what they were!

Friendly Place right at the Station. Comes in Handy when its raining and no cabs around

Always a good place to visit. The staff are friendly. Good sence of humour. They have a great relationship with the regulars and the locals. They also will accommodate you for requests such as I asked for the music to be paused and the sound to be played on the TV for the Carabao Cup final. The staff were happy to grant my request. There's a great sized pool table and Juke box. If you see a guy with long hair playing pool. Don't challenge him. He'll be happy to give you a match but unless you're a pro, he'll probably win.

This place is awesome. Really friendly and really cheap. They have karaoke nights with a hilarious compere and if you want a quiet pint then there's plenty of opportunity for that too. This would probably be my local if I wasn't always at work 😭😭😭 Massively recommended

Myself and my wife enjoyed the Railway hotel in knottingley due to the bus was cancelled and we were waiting ages for the next bus home to Wakefield so we called in to waiting for a taxi to Altofts the staff was helpful and friendly

as a local goes not a bad place to stop for a drink before or after getting on train

Not a good place anymore beer has gone downhill it's cold and musty and in need of re decoration

For the second time today I went in , someone was served before me?? Maybe as I was abiding to the social distancing measures put in place by government & the pub itself yet ignored twice with others gets served first both times by Amy I suggest she learns customer service skills or a council employee go visit & check they are complying too the rules as from what I witnessed today on both occasions they didn’t as such didn’t even stop for a drink second time !!! Then shouted abuse at me disgusting attitude!!! Learn customer skills & behaviour please Amy !!! Won’t be back !!!

Called in today as am currently in the process of buying a property in the area, we were treat with a very lovely welcome all the staff and customers were lovely , can't fault it , nice pub

Called in on a Sunday tea time. It was a friendly pub with a disco that wasn't too loud, you could still hear a conversation. I enjoyed it and would defiantly call again

It a good place to go too for a great night out. Bar staff are brill and friendly and the landlady is a wonderful lady and will help anybody that needs it.

Desribed by my husband as a drinkers pub! Good value beers, lagers and wine choices. Unfortunately does not appear to extend to alcohol free choices that are dear in comparison

Hello all the Railway now as a new landlady which is me , I took over from the 4th Dec and customers will be treated fairly, drugs or violence will not be tolerated anyone who causes violence or found to be taking illigal substances will be barred. look forward to meeting my customers and I will make this pub friendly and entertaining atmosphere.

Drug fuelled pub, locals all do as they wish, the landlord is an alcoholic who causes fights and treats people unfairly. Allowed a women to be attacked by men causing her injuries. Always drug dealers and such in here. Not a very safe place to be in
