Nice place for the pre match football drink and food Great staff .

We went in, not realizing that the pub was shutting soon but thought it was fine as we saw people drinking and playing pool. The lady behind the bar didn’t say hi, just looked at us and shouted “we’re shut”. She had a glass of red wine in her hand and had a rude attitude, there was no kindness in her words, only bitterness. I have never been to a pub or restaurant and seen the bartender drink whilst on shift, and then give attitude to guests. You could clearly tell that she had been drinking. I understand that the pub was nearly shutting, however there were people in there and also it doesn’t give a member of staff an excuse to act that way to anyone. Don’t recommend, rude, unfriendly and not good with customers.

Went in this afternoon for lunch with a few friends probably the nicest most friendly pub in town staff were excellent couldn't do enough for us food was very well priced and tasted amazing venue was clean n tidy they were very busy with a funeral but nothing was too much trouble for them highly recommend were taking friends there Friday night too thank u for a really excellent afternoon guys n thanks for the extra effort too

I can highly recommend the Railway, my favourite pub in Crawley!!! Myself and a friend regularly meet for a catch up here, watch the football and have food. The staff are amazing, always friendly and we’ve had the privilege of getting to know them personally and they always welcome us, the food is really good, with a great variety and very well priced as is the selection of beers Best pub in Crawley, keep up the good work guys!!

Came for dinner last night had a lovely burger the staff are lovely aswell. Definitely recommend.

Popped in with intention of having some food before Brighton women's game. Staff clearly not happy Brighton women using Crawley's pitch and were very vocal. When the menus were placed on each table, the staff member very clearly avoided our table and didn't give us one so we left. It's only a game people! Bit much for a Sunday lunchtime!

The pub had a warm and inviting atmosphere, with friendly staff and delicious food. The drinks were top-notch, and the music created a lively vibe. It was the perfect spot to relax and catch up with friends, great for a casual night out.

Love this place. Regular here and I love the food, never disappoints. Service could be better (only a few who are constantly grumpy) but most workers here are absolutely amazing. Great atmosphere throughout the week and I've never seen any trouble break out. One of my first choices!

What a lovely welcome from the landlady and even ended up with a free pint! Nice friendly atmosphere and close to the train for Gatwick Airport. Will definitely pop in again on our travels

Great pub and great staff, always very friendly. Vast selection of drinks including some great flavoured Lilly's ciders! (Beware of these %!) Saturday nights are particularly vibey and there's often a DJ which makes this one of, if not the only venue with live music in Crawley. They also have lots of screens and booths with a exclusive viewing screens showing all the big sports games

Booked a table for 8 people for 5pm. Arrived at 4:55pm and had to flag down a barman to tell him we were here. Taken over to our table which was messy, split in half and had customers sat on it. Customers were moved on but they left us to clean up the tables and put them back together. Everyone ordered food for the same table at the same time however despite this, two meals came out, 20mins later another two came out and then twenty minutes later the rest came out. Everyone had finished their plates prior to others getting their food. Found it funny that in between the staff bringing out or food they went for fag breaks and didn’t see any issues with a table of people being brought periodic food. Food was of poor standard but you get what you pay for as it’s fairly cheap in there. If you’re going to watch the football (which wasn’t on as all the TV’s were down) and want some food then it’s fine. If you’re planning a family or friend’s meal then don’t bother. It’s not often I think McDonald’s would have beaten someone on service however I think they would have here.

Love this pub. Great for a quick drink after a dog walk. Nice atmosphere. Good selection of real ales and food is not bad either. Prices are lower than average also.

This is a great spot for for any event or night out was the for furyusyk 1 and 2 and the atmosphere was amazing it’s always a busy pub very clean and tidy good drinks and prices food tastes amazing and the team there are excellent

Delicious food, great ambiance and great deals. For those die-hard fans, it is also the first pub that the band The Cure performed at!

Proper establishment, so many televisions and you can order from your phone or at the bar, prompt service and friendly faces, very nice outdoors in the beer garden and with televisions. Saturday nights are so good for disco, nice night out.

After our golf weekend was rained off we ended up, by chance, in this pub for an afternoon of football, beers and pool. Great pub, lovely staff and the locals are brillant

Had a farewell party there! I had not been to this pub for several years and was pleasantly surprised with its atmosphere and reasonable prices! I took a look at the menu and its vegan options and will be returning with the wife who is the vegan!

We have eaten lunch here on several occasions, it is always reliable, and while the menu is standard ‘pub grub’ everything we have had has always been great. There are also some good meal and drink combo deals which always go down well. The service has also been friendly and efficient, which is more than can be said of some places. All in all this place offers excellent value for money.

Visited The Railway in Crawley after the funeral of one of my cousins. It was a sad day, so we decided to have a few beers. Fairly busy for a midweek afternoon, but we managed to get a booth. The locals were friendly and the staff very good and very friendly. The place was clean as were the toilets. A nice pub.

I loved the visit. Shame a large portion of the menu was not available. The steak was well cooked and sides okay. It's just a shame that you could have doubled the meal for 3 pound extra had it not been you did not have the food in stock. So comprise all round. Poor chef so overworked and refused to make desert and our young daughter so disappointed. Please don't let this taint the view of the pkace. Just note we had a bad experience on the day and hope that poor chef is okay

James was so nice to around pauter past 6 I asked him where the toilet was he pointed me to it later on I got a glass of water but I spilled it before I even asked for a new one he had already poured me another 10/10 service would come again going to recommend it

I have been here for the bottomless prosecco brunch twice and on both occasions we were looked after by a lady named Gillian. Her customer service is absolutely fantastic. She is friendly, attentive, professional and is the reason we came back for another prosecco brunch at the Railway! The prosecco was lovely and the food delicious, I had a chicken burger the first time we came for the brunch and on the second visit I had the all day breakfast, would highly recommend both!

We came here for the 1st time before we fly out tomorrow to Turkey. This is really a great place and my wife said she’d love it as our local! The staff are fantastically friendly and helpful. We will be back when we next go on holiday 👍🏻 I did tell the staff all was ok with our meals but in truth my steak was very tough and chewy and the marshmallows in the Loaded Sundae were very hard as if they’d come from the fridge but we were so impressed overall.

A really excellent experience. The staff were friendly and welcoming to us and to our small dog. The food was very well cooked and good value. We will definitely come again if we are in the area and will be recommending the "Railway" to our friends!

Great value and good alcohol choices - plenty of proper beer and cider

Service was great, 2 cheerful ladies, but honestly speaking the food is as low end as you can get. I know it's cheap, but this was almost inedible. Sausage and mash was tasteless, poor quality meat, and dry bland mash. The buttermilk chicken was like cardboard. Again, I know it's cheap, but this wasnt worth it. Makes Spoons seem brilliant!

This place has a pool table and a lot of casino machines. Large options for the drink and food menu. They also have a meal set and a QR code for ordering from your table. I ordered a cider and an onion ring which came pretty fast and yummy. It was pretty busy and the place was quite hot inside. Our table has a screen where you can watch sports from your table.

Nice pub, no ecigs allowed, the pub expects you to ecig in the Smoking area. I don't think they realise they are expecting ex smokers to go into an environment of current smokers, such backward thinking.

Unpretentious pub serving decent food. Menu was Wetherspoons-esque with a range of pub classic options all priced to include a drink. Burgers were a good choice, a few more chips wouldn't have gone amiss. Ordering was via QR code and service speedy. Decor was a bit dated and with a vast number of TV screens showing sport it was a bit too noisy.

My favorite spot in Crawley! I am married to a vegan and their menu is fantastic for Vegan and non vegan alike, besides good food at reasonable prices the atmosphere is great and you get great service by wonderful people such as Gill and Ryan!

Great place to watch the live football while having a bar meal & a drink. Had a table with our own tv and enjoyed our meals which were excellent value for money. The staff were friendly and happy to find our football match request. Big thanks to Helen for a warm welcome 👍

Absolutely brilliant atmosphere. They go the extra mile to make sure the place is clean, tidy and friendly. All pricing for drinks and food is kept to Reasonable value.

Had the pleasure to meet Jill and her team here while my husband fixed their lift. She is so warm and welcoming, and such a hard worker. Her staff is polite ans lovely, and so efficient. Jill makes everyone feel so welcome and I wish I lived closer to visit more regularly! Would love to try the food as the place smells incredible. Everyone here seems so happy and relaxed. 10/10 would def come back! 2-4-1 cocktails can't be beat! ♡

Ordered food on their app, they came over and apologised that they were too busy with an xmas group order to do it but gave me a refund and a free pint no questions asked, which is a nice gesture

If you want to see a melting pot of people here's the place to see it at lunchtime. From business men to local characters, dolly birds to mums with their babies and don't forget the local alcoholic looking for his next glass. Quite an enjoyable atmosphere and the ladies behind the bar are great with everyone. The kitchen pumps out reasonable food at not too expensive prices. Thoroughly enjoyed a couple of hours with a beer or two watching the world go by here, entertainment at it's best.

What’s Crawley known for? Not much you say. Well! Believe it or not this is where the famous British rock band The Cure started their rise to fame. You’re asking for a classic British pub. Warm, Warm and Warm. Which means the hospitality is warm, the food is warm but most importantly the beers are warm (and flat) So far so good. Watch this space, been is more important than a review. We went in while walking into town, the atmosphere was fantastic, the food was good (I recommend the spicy chicken) and it was like how pubs used to be.

Best pub I ever been to. Had a day to waste at gatwick airport went here for fish and chips and a beer. Best decision I made The staff are amazing and food is great Next time I come from Canada to England I’ll be stopping in again

From London. In the area and popped in as lots of tvs for watching footie. They already have scored. Adrian and Shannon treated me like royalty. Well as Harry and Megan live in the USA and I'm from NYC it was ever so nice. I had a couple of special requests that Shannon made happen big time and Adian stopped by to check and I thought 'Am Am I in my London local?' I highly recommend the Railway. ...and the atmosphere is great!. Thumbs up to all.

Went for lunch with family today and had limited expectations for a busy Saturday lunchtime but the service was warm and friendly, great deals on food and drink which came quickly and was made perfectly. Special thanks to PJ the chef for accommodating fussy eaters!

Fantastic service!! Atmosphere was great with boxing and cricket on. We sat outside as it was a nice day (to start with at least). Had a couple of drinks with food. I ordered the Chip Shop Platter. I don't alway order fish and chips as I can be fussy about the batter, but, I am so glad I did 😀. The fish was cooked to perfection and the battered sausage is fantastic. I was lucky enough to thank the chef, PJ, in person. One of the best meals out we have had in a while. I will definitely be back soon, probably with the lads to watch the start of the Premier League in a couple of week. Thank you all for a wonderful afternoon x

I walked into the pub. Nobody else was waiting to be served and there were two bar staff behind the bar. They proceeded to ignore me without even an acknowledgement of my presence. How morons like this find work in the hospitality industry is beyond me. I just walked out and went to a proper pub.

Tonight is our 3rd night eating here, food is fantastic for the price, portion sizes are great, staff here have been absolutely amazing, service excellent.

Spent some time here as I was waiting for a flight. Had a lovely time thanks to bartender Helen!!! A gem - genuinely sweet and makes a killer drink.

I recently went to a restaurant that served sausage mash, and it was wonderful! The sausage was cooked perfectly and was full of flavour. The mash was light, fluffy and creamy - perfection! The combination of the two was amazing. The presentation was also great; the dish was served in a beautiful white ceramic bowl. The portions were generous and could easily be shared. I would definitely recommend this dish and will be ordering it again! Thankyou Chef PJ.

Chef PJ was excellent! From the drinks to the food provided for our event, it was all outstanding. His professional manner was evident from the start, as he was very friendly and accommodating to each of our requests while still maintaining a quality of service that was second to none. His eye for presentation was remarkable as each dish that he created was perfectly plated and inviting. We received compliments for weeks after the event about how delicious the food was. Our guests felt as though they were dining at a five-star restaurant! The experience with Chef PJ was one that we won't soon forget and would recommend him to anyone looking for a top-notch caterer. He truly helped make our event unforgettable!

Great atmosphere, great food, great prices and great staff! Especially Ryan he always goes out of his way to help! This is best place in town for watching sport, this place has 4 big screens and 8 smaller screens, you can even sit in a booth with its own screen! Table service is available at all times via the app so you don’t have to wait at the bar. Convenient location to town and the train station. They have just got a new pool table which will take card as well as cash and currently have free pool on a Monday evening!

What a nice play to be, not been there since the renovation and wow has it changed. Would love to come back a day they are showing sport, good food fairly cheap and Ryan is an asset to the team huge smiles and knew exactly what I wanted on my return to the bar.

My wife and I live over 4,000 miles away (Florida, USA) and ALWAYS stop here when in England! We visit Railway for the drinks/food- but stay for the atmosphere & AMAZING bar staff!! One of our favorite staff members, Ryan, is so personable- and has a gift for making the best drinks. He also is so easy to talk to and makes us feel welcomed like one of the locals- even though we live so far away. Can’t wait to visit here again!!
